Hello everybody,
since the latest update(s) the mouse does not control the camera anymore in Mass Effect 3 LE (using the ME1 LE profile).
Until now things worked fine, but now only the cursor is moved by the mouse, not the camera anymore. Mouse and keybord buttons still work and so does playing with the gamepad. I tried basically every setting I could find, nothing helps. When I use the VR controllers in Mouse/KB mode, the analog sticks stop working as well btw. I am playing on Pico 4 using Virtual Desktop and immersive screen mode.Is anybody having similar issues? I presume it is a bug introduced with one of the latest updates, the last time it worked was roughly a month ago, I did not play in the meantime.
Best,
TillHI,
I am trying to play Mass Effect Andromeda with PSvr2 headset, but ps5 standard controller.
Sadly, Vorpx does not allow me to use the gamepad as a gamepad, it keeps overridding the keys with keyboard keybinds.
I am unable to do anything, changing the Xbox gamepad override to anything (Off, partial, full) does nothing, even after reboots. Can anyone help?
Hello, all!
I’m beating a dead horse a bit here, but has anyone figured out how to run Mass Effect 3: Legendary Edition? There’s an official profile for 1, but none for 2 or 3.
There are a few suggestions:
* Rename MassEffect3.exe to MassEffect1.exe – Doesn’t work, because the Legendary Edition launcher needs to launch these files by name. There are many existing threads on this, with no solution.
* Use the original ME2 and ME3 games – not helpful, since saves aren’t compatible, and I don’t have those games (I just have the LE editions).
* Wait for an official Vorpx profile to arrive – It’s been 5 years.I’d love to try and make custom profiles for ME2:LE and ME3:LE, but can’t, since those exe files names are already taken by Vorpx official profiles. I know this is a deliberate choice by Ralph, But I’m asking to please, please at least give us the option to mess around with this and get it working. If we mess up the profiles, that’s on – I’ll happily reset those, but it’s better than just not having the option.
Hi,
I think there’s a problem with how vorpx generates g3d when using AMD cards with latest drivers (as of april 22nd 2024).
I recently upgraded from a gtx 1070 to an RX7900GRE, and in the games “The surge” and “Mass Effect LE1” i get 4 or 5 fps even at fullhd. Z3D works without issues, but as soon as I change to g3d it slows down to a crawl.
I tried disabling vsync and all other stuff on adrenaline, nothing works.
The surge had better fps with the gtx 1070, which makes no sense. I know vorpx works better with nvidia drivers rather than amd drivers, but it’s not happening with other games’ profiles. Is there anything that can be done?
I’ve been having difficulty getting vorpX to hook into Mass Effect. I am trying to use a PSVR headset with the iVRy driver on SteamVR.
There is no watermark on startup, and I can’t invoke the in-game configuration menu.Sometimes, it looks like it’s kind of hooked in. There is no vorpX watermark, but it looks as though it successfully loads into an immersive screen mode. However, it freezes on the very first frame.
Before I began using iVRy, I used vorpX’s Generic preset, and the settings therein matched that of the PSVR. Though vorpX did hook then, the image output in my headset was not one combined image; rather, it was two thin side by side images seperate from one another. I tried adjusting the IPD – no luck.
Can someone please walk me through how to get Mass Effect running in vorpX via PSVR?
Thanks in advance for your help. The right eye in Mass Effect Andromeda is rendered with errors in G3D.
squares at the edges of character, no light on forehead and artifacts in the background.
The left is rendered correctlyIt’s very different than the original kinda like the difference Resident Evil is doing with remakes so they’re not the same games, Mass Effect3 isn’t the same as the remake. Anyone had any joy geting Mass Effect Legendary Edition working with Vorpx cause it’s on steam sale again
I happened to have a GTX 1080Ti, RX 6750XT and a RX 6800XT for some time. And decided to test a few games with vorpX on the same system.
Most games work fine on all three, performing as you’d expect for the GPU.However there were a couple where the FPS tanks in geometry 3D for radeon cards. The ones I found are Mass Effect 1 and 2 of Legendary Edition, Mass Effect Andromeda and F1 2020.
The RX cards drop to 2-15 FPS in ME1/ME2 LE, and 30-40 FPS in ME Andromeda and F1 2020. Compared to 60-80 in ME1/ME2 LE and Andromeda, and 100+ in F1 2020 for the 1080Ti.
This considering the 6750XT and 6800XT are both more powerful than the 1080Ti.I scoured a bit in the forums and found a few complaining of poor performance on the 6000 series. That is actually how I decided to test F1 2020.
There doesn’t seem to be something obviously in common between these games. For example standalone version of ME2 doesn’t have this issue.
Also Z3D works close to native FPS, with RX cards preforming better as expected.I used DDU on every GPU swap, disabled all AMD features (active sync, boost, chill etc.), disabled AMD overlay, forced Vsync OFF globally. I tried lower game settings, different resolutions, fullscreen/borderless/windowed, OpenXR/SteamVR/Generic 3D Display, all sync options in vorpX.
I’m not sure what else to try.
I was watching youtube videos by Beardo Benjo and paradise decay saying the game could be played in VR.
When I try it, the game plays in immersive mode. Switching the mode to Full VR doesn’t seem to do anything. It still looking at a 2d screen with black edges. (i.e. the world doesn’t wrap around you)
Just wondering if its like this for everyone or just me. Thank you.
