legaiaflame2ParticipantI’m trying to play the Origin version (from the Origin store) of Mass Effect. Vorpx won’t hook into it. I tried running it in Admin but no luck.
The reason why I’m playing this version is because Mass Effect 3 isn’t on Steam. Only Origin. Any suggestions?

TheBaltParticipantUnfortunately i only played kingdom come with regular mods and vorpx, i wasnt aware of any motion control stuff going on with that one. If you got info on that, im 100% interested cause that game could be awesome if you were actually prepping the swings.
I really recommend tho – having been messing with VR since DK2.. Walking Dead Saints and Sinners is the best implementation of VR into an actual “GAME” that ive seen yet. I really would recommend you refund skyrim and fallout and get that if youre short on cash. Skyrim and Fallout are great – but they are very much so “vr tacked on” – it works, its fun, just like games in Vorpx are fun even tho they arent 100% VR…
But if youre really looking for the most legitimate “oh shit, this is what you CAN do with VR”… i think Walking Dead makes the strongest argument for VR that ive seen in all these years since DK2 first got out into the wild.
And i did try Dark messiah of Might and Magic and it just didnt hold up for me well enough to get past like the first hour or so.. might be exactly your type of game, so might have a blast with it.
My best vorpx experiences have been Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro with first person mods. Mass Effect andromeda with first person mod… and others but my brain cant think of em all right now, lol. i got evil within 2 running in vorpx at one point, i think i used a dishonored profile and that worked awesome, but people have said it doesnt work anymore with that profile, i dont know, youd have to test it yourself, but if you get it to work, it was awesome with the first person mode in that game.
Dark Souls 3 is great in first person vr if you wanted to try it but you cant use the lock on – you need to basically play a 2 handed rolling character without a shield or magic, the ‘mod’ to get it in first person just doesnt ‘play well’ with the lock on. For Sekiro its much smoother and that isnt really an issue, loved em both in Vorpx. Sekiro does have mods on nexusmods to add ‘invincibility frames’ to your dodge like Bloodborne if you wanted to make it a more ‘palatable’ experiene. It can be difficult if youre getting ganged up on in that game and dont have i frames in first person, i played without it, but i can definitely see how it could be essential for some players.
Jan 23, 2020 at 5:00pm #192038In reply to: Game in window and strange blur when turning/moving
TheBaltParticipantWell i’ve tryed:
– Crysis – doesn’t even start.
– Shadow Warrior 2 – Everything is so much upscaled, dark (it’s heavy to see anything), when i’m turning or moving everything is shuttering – it’s unplayable.
– Bioshock – far now the best – working pretty god but still everything is so upscaled.I think i will not using vorpX for now i believe you shouldn’t charge money for this software. Where and how can i get my money back?
I wanted to add, the reason for my previous post trying to encourage you to keep the program isnt just because it does work when you find the rights settings.. but ive put it thru absurd scearios and the part that always works is vorpx.
I played Dark Souls 3 with a First person cheatengine mod with Geometry3d.
I played Mass Effect Andromeda with a first person mod with vorpx and geometry 3d.
I am currently in a first person mod playthru, with vorpx, in Sekiro.
This program can make games play in a way you never thought possible, coupled with the proper mods and stuff. Sekiro in first person VR is intense and amazing, Mass effect gets a bad rap but man, just gameplay wise in first person with that games insane combat system was an absolute blast.
I didnt mean to sound demeaning toward you in the previous post, i apologize, i just wanted to emphasize what this program CAN DO when you just work with it a little bit.. its totally up to you to ask for a refund, im not sure of those policies and like i said, i have nothing to do with the staff or company or anything, just a user… but this program has changed games i never thought would be fun to return to (like deus ex) or games into entirely new experiences like Sekiro modded out.
If you already got your refund and are done with it, all good.. just wanted you to know, this program has potential for incredible gaming experiences if youre willing to put the time into getting your settings right.. it sucks that the settings arent an easy across the board thing, but, it really just depends on each computer and their setup and preferences for how they want to play… what may seem like too complicated of options right now for you are going to be exactly the options you want once you learn the program a little bit. My best bet would maybe look around youtube for vorpx tutorials to maybe get your feet wet on the fundamental stuff..
but really man.. it made mass effect andromeda not suck. :P hooray for vorpx, they saved the mass effect franchise for me :) lol
Thanks for your time, sorry for bugging on your post twice
take care!

Jan 10, 2020 at 5:38pm #191772In reply to: vorpX 20.1.1.2 Available Now
RalfKeymaster20/01/10
vorpX 20.1.1 has been released. This is a medium sized maintenance release, mainly aimed at improving/updating existing profiles and addressing a few issues that have been reported recently. On top of that Immersive Screen and Cinema play styles can now be configured for comfortable reclined gaming and a couple of smaller improvements have been implemented. The release also comes with three new game profiles.
As a new service some short descriptions of the games that got profiles added. Let me know if you consider that useful or unnecessary fluff.
Journey
This is an enhanced version of the PS3/4 masterpiece from 2013 that finally was released for PC a few months ago. Find your way through a barren desert in search for a mysterious mountain on the horizon. A unique game with a whopping Metacritic score of 92 for its original release that you will find in many top lists of the best games ever created. More captivating than ever in 3D with vorpX’s Immersive Screen Mode.
A Hat in Time
Feeling grumpy today? This is for you then. A cute 3D-platformer that will put a smile on your face immediately. Who needs Mario when you can have A Hat in Time? Defaults to Immersive Screen Mode, but if you have the stomach, you might also want to try FullVR, vorpX takes care of adjusting the FOV etc.
Little Nightmares
A Steam surprise hit from roughly a year ago. Guide a little girl in a yellow raincoat through her little nightmares in this 2.5D platformer. If you haven’t tried that already, you will be surprised how much fun games like this can be on a huge (virtual) 3D screen. A must for everyone who likes games like Limbo or Inside even a little bit.

steph12Participanti’m going to have so much fun doing the whole mass effect trilogy with VorpX, i never did it in VR yet, i of course played them all on regular screen, those new reworked profiles are most welcome, thank you so much Ralf ! and for the whole update of course :)
so many games to play…too many aha ^^
Jan 4, 2020 at 8:38pm #191590In reply to: Mass Effect 1 Profile
madcapParticipantUnfortunately, Mass Effect 2 is exhibiting the same S3D problems ME1 had before the fix (in cut/narrative scenes), so I’ll wait for these profile fixes to catch up before continuing my adventure. :)
Dec 31, 2019 at 12:28pm #191469In reply to: Mass Effect 1 Profile
RalfKeymasterPlease download the ‘Mass Effect [vorpX]’ profile from the cloud for a fixed version. Thanks for the heads-up!
BTW: Regarding the original issue this topic was about: if cutscenes are uncomfortable to watch, switch to EdgePeek mode. I reduced the stereo separation in the profile during EdgePeek a while ago, which should help with close-ups etc.
Dec 3, 2019 at 6:17pm #190664In reply to: No Mouse in Mass Effect 3
RalfKeymasterIn games with a ‘hardware cursor’ vorpX uses its own since the hardware cursor isn’t automatically stereo duplicated. vorpX should be able to determine the cursor visibility automatically, but if that fails for some reason, you can use ALT+C to turn on/off the vorpX cursor.
I’m unaware that there is an issue with Mass Effect 3 in that regard, never encountered it here, but either way ALT+C should do the trick.
Dec 3, 2019 at 5:27pm #190660Topic: No Mouse in Mass Effect 3
in forum Technical Support
HaywoodParticipantI have seen this topic posted before, but I’ve yet to find a solution. Just to make the issue clear, I have no mouse pointer at all in ME3 when using VorpX. The mouse is still there, but VorpX can’t display the in game pointer. I have read and followed the basic troubleshooting guide as well as tried every fix I could find. I’m using the Digital Deluxe version of ME3 on Origin. Origin in-game is off. I have tried alt+C to enable the VorpX pointer, but that doesn’t do anything. When I press delete, however, the VorpX menu and pointer appears. I have enabled advanced settings for the game and changed (and reset) every setting just to see if anything would make a difference and nothing has so far. I’ve also tried two or three ME3 profiles that were on the cloud. I tried creating a shortcut for the executable, but as stated in the basic TS, it doesn’t work with the origin client. I’m using a Radeon R9 GPU and Rift S. If anyone has a fix for this issue I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I apologize if this topic is solved somewhere and I just didn’t see it. Thank you all for your time.

RayVaaParticipantI tried VorpX for the first time now with RDR2. I’ve managed to get the game running with my Odyssey+, but the performance is not what I expected.. (?) the lamp\my arm in the very beginning of the game is huge (!!) and head movements seems really awkward and nausea introducing. The scene is way to zoomed in. I’ve downloaded the FOV-mod which made the scene somewhat more correct, but also resulted in a massive fish bowl effect and my arm looks even bigger.. Am I doing something wrong, or is this how you guys experience it as well ? The 3d-effect also doesn’t seem quite right… I’m getting sick after 1-2 minutes. Normally my VR-legs are quite strong..

dborosevParticipantBeen playing ME3 with the first person mod, which allows first person view when exploring (not in combat). Holy shiznit its amazingly immersive this way. Wandering the Normandy, the citadel. Whole new game. (Cinema mode of course)

SfiveParticipantI still find someone who has the same problem read this review: So Masses Effect on Origin is not working for me sadly :(.
I can not find any presets for it in the App Vorpx (only for mass effect 2 and 3).
I tried to launch the game from both origin, it’s shortcut, windowed, full screen, etc. The oculus app is running in the background, but it does not matter where it’s going. “Start vorpx” is running.
Any ideas?
Thanks
now please try new update for vorpX

moadepthParticipantHi, my favorites are 3rd person games and 2,5d scrollers.
At the moment I play Vanquish also i would mention
Bulletstrom, Mass Effect 3, Ryse Son of Rome, Batman AA and so on, all G3d and you can max the depth (5.0) . If I have trouble with shadows I go into the shadertool and switch them off. 2,5d scrollers I have tested SineMora Ex,Castlevania Mirror of Fate, Flashback 2013 looking all awesome.
But there is so much more…. -

I’m trying to play the Origin version (from the Origin store) of Mass Effect. Vorpx won’t hook into it. I tried running it in Admin but no luck.
The reason why I’m playing this version is because Mass Effect 3 isn’t on Steam. Only Origin. Any suggestions?
Topic: Binary Domain
Binary Domain (G3D)
I wonder this Mass Effect like game hasnt been fixed before. Looking great with VorpX. – HUD can be resized in VorpX-Menu.
– Full VR with Headtracking
– Resizable HUD (VorpX Menu)
– Cinema Mode recommended
– Dont use SSAO
– Profile available at the cloud
