I only want to play games that I have in three dimensions.
I do not mind being so fine.
I am just making a chance and sharing it.
I think that you can change the setting of my profile afterwards.
So, I do not understand anything about technical problems with my profile.
Thanks
Please try to run the game windowed. IIRC there was some occasional glitch with switching to fullscreen.
If you have mods installed, please also try without any mods, especially ENB graphics mods or potentially similar things that hook into the game’s rendering similar to vorpX may be problematic.
When I run Oblivion for my Oculus Rift, the screen remains black. Nothing happens.
Any advise or help?
If you run a game windowed for example, using the DEL key might accidentally delete a file on your desktop. You definitely do not want that to happen, hence DEL is blocked as a safety measure while vorpX is hooked into a program. That is a good thing usually and not a problem since the block is only supposed to be active while a program is hooked.
A restart of your PC might also be enough to solve your issue in case vorpX is still hooked into a program that semi-crashed earlier.
You can see what programs vorpX hooked since the last start in the logfile. To check the logfile create a trouble shoot data archive in the config app.
If you can’t find the offending app, please change the vorpX menu key to something other than DEL as suggested above.
That can only be the case if vorpX is hooked into another program as a safety measure since otherwise in some programs opening the vorpX menu with DEL may have unwanted side effects. Maybe it did hook in some background process on your machine. If you happen to know which one you can add it to the exclude list in the config app.
Another option would be to change the vorpX menu key to something other than DEL. That can also be done in the config app.
I have a HTC Vive. When I move my head, about every 1 or 2 seconds, the screen shakes or stutters like it has tourettes or something. It doesn’t matter what game I play or what settings I change in the vorpx in game menu. It’s not about graphics because I have a 1080Ti and whether I put graphics to low in Fear 2 or Wow, it stutters regardless. Steam VR tracks fine though.
Does anyone know what the heck is going on?
I have this EXACT issue. Had it on 2 machines and never fixed it. I’m not sure if it’s hardware as this used also happen on my GTX 770 but I have AMD hardware and have this issue. I’m running a DK2 so I’m not sure if it’s dependant on that
I once got it working by leaving the game on for awhile and trying again but most the time it completely crashes my system forcing a reboot. I can play without direct VR but the experience is awful. I also have an issue with the controller which I read is also fixed by directVR scanner.
I got the controller working perfectly with New Vegas with mapping support and head tracking but playing that makes me want to start Fallout 4 again.
Until ralf posts back (if he has the time) the best thing to do is change the FOV to 120 in the INI settings and lower your graphics. That helped me at least get the scanner to not crash my system.
We’ll have to ask Ralf if he knows anything about this, id love his input, it’s always valued
Just a heads-up for registered read-only forum users:
If you never posted anything, you probably will have to register again. You should be able to use the same username and password as before.
Over the past five years a rather huge amount of fake accounts has been created by spammers/spam bots. Since separating these from legit read-only user accounts unfortunately is next to impossible, today (2018/10/08) all users without at least one post have been deleted from the database to ensure the best possible forum stability and performance.
Sorry for any inconvenience that may cause.
Fixed by removing Bitdefender not just disabling everything
Hello,
when I start the Desktop Viewer via the right click menu of the try icon I see the vorpX icon in the task bar for about half a second and then it disappears again and the right click menu shows “Exit vorpX Desktop Viewer” for about 2 seconds until it returns to “Start vorpX Desktop Viewer”. I get no error message and nothing in my headset. I am using Windows 10 64-bit with vorpX version 18.2.5.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I tested a few applications in the past but all of them were too difficult to handle, didnt work at all or headtracking wasnt availiable.
I wrote earlier in the forum about Stereo Photo Maker,a free program, but there were too many things to prepare to get it working. Now i have a preconfigured settings file that you can download and you can wiew stereo pictures right away.
please read more HERE
Beside others i also tested Sview , also a free program, interesting if you dont have VorpX yet and just want so sneak into how some users screenshots look like, but it has one big disadvantage, it doesnt provide headtracking which can be very annoing.
VorpX together with Stereo Photo Maker does.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (G3D)
This is the first DX9 title of the C&C Series. Perfect S3D, just one snag, when shutting down so you must terminate game manually through task manager with STRG+ALT+DEL. – Game reminds a bit on Fallout Tactics in S3D. Game is not very resource hungry, so you can turn up everything to the max.
– exclude CNC3.exe from VorpX
– optimized for Cinema Modes
– use STRG+ALT+DEL to terminate game manually
– lower shadows and water reflections
– 16:9 resolution recommended
– availiable from the cloud

Oh nice! So we can expect some Z3D similar to Origins?
Excited for this. Liking the game so far, but struggling to enjoy pancake mode on my monitor. Everything looks so small.
I’m having trouble as well. The good news – you can hook with paused watcher delay. The bad news – no working 3D so far.
I’ve found if you pause the watcher before launching Odyssey, then wait 10 seconds or so after the splash screen appears to resume, vorpX will hook.
Origins has been giving me similar trouble lately, where I always have to launch the game a 2nd time – after a 1st failed attempt. It acts as though it is running some display detection diagnostics every 1st time per day (switching between windowed mode and fullscreen during load).
I’ve noticed that Odyssey likes to change my “fullscreen” setting to “borderless” on it’s own if I idle in the options a while. It also seems as if the options menu displays at a different resolution than the game (as if it were on a separate layer) though I could be wrong. It’s possible this could confuse vorpX.
So far I’ve tried about 5 different profiles and delayed hooking has worked each time, but nothing gives working Z3D. I’ve tried the various AA settings and resolution changes and tricks, but no hint of 3D thus far.
I’ll keep trying, but hopefully Ralf can take a look soon. He’s gotten most the other AC’s working great, and this one looks to be the best one yet! Probably my most anticipated PC game this year.
Sounds as if the DirectVR rotation might not get applied properly. For Source 2 games the scanner has to find multiple memory locations. Sometimes it might not find all of them, which would lead to a success message while in fact not everything is right.
For Half-Life 2 vorpX comes with pre-cached DirectVR values though, so if you are using the current Steam version of the game, there should be no need to run the scanner yourself. A factory reset in the config app restores the pre-cached values, so that’s worth a shot.
