    Two things:

    1. Reset the game’s graphics options to medium before launching it with the mod. certain graphics setting like DLSS may interfere with the mod.

    2. the mod uses the CyberEngineTweaks modding framework. Since each version of the CET unfortunately only works with the Cyberpunk version it was made for, you have to make sure that both the mod and your Cyberpunk are up-to-date.

Unrelated, but while am at it:

Once you got it working, make sure to actually read the instructions that are offered to you in the headset on launch. That’s time well spent. Hectically clicking stuff away just makes things less enjoyable. :)

i wanted to try the quality of vorpx before i buy it and that’s probably what the cyberpunk mod is made for ;) unfortunately the game crashes right in the intro (2nd screen, the cdpr logo). i’m on a relatively fresh win11 installation on a realtively modern system (7950x3d with 128gb ram and a 4070). i used the steamvr installation because i’m using virtual desktop, although i’m using a quest 3 as headset.

i really want to like vorpx cause u REALLY want to enjoy ac origins discovery tour ^_^ so i hope its only a small problem ^_^

It was doing this off an on for a month or two so. I did a fresh install of
Cyberpunk 2.2. Started a new game. NO MODS.

Also followed the FAQ and I’m good on all the things it suggested, tried turning off
my 2nd screen, disabling it rather because that was one thing it suggested.

No luck yet. Still crashes randomly after about 30mins to an hour. Gets old
    after a bit ya know?

Any suggestions? Anyone else having this issue? Also I have not and am refusing to download
Win 11 24H2 for the time being.

A new update is available. Download link as always in the first post of this thread.

    • Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework updated for CP2077 2.2.
    • HUD shaders fixed for CP2077 2.2.
    • vorpX backend updated to latest version. Among general stability and performance improvenments this also finally fixes the ocassionally unavailable motion controller gestures after launching the game.

Hi! Im trying to improve the in Cyberpunk experience and already broke the mod two times. When in Z normal 3D, the grapics around the edges have a gelatin wobble like effect. Its a lot noticiable inside the car windows, fences but the worst is when reading wobble text.
I tried messing with dlss settings, graphics settings and Vorpx settings. IF I put VR strength to 0 (it was at 2 by default), the gelatin stops, but I think thats its like playing with Vorpx no 3D mode. Im playing on a rtx 4050 with Nice Vorpx settings and dlss was in automatic, everything else is in low or médium, so I dont have a lot of gpu power to work on and G3D is to demanding, but maybe there is something that may help. Thanks for any sugestion.

Please make sure that your Cyberpunk is updated to the latest version. The mod components vorpX installs include the CyberEngineTweaks modding framework, which is quite sensitive to the Cyberpunk version, i.e. each Cyberpunk version only runs with the CET version made for it and vice versa.

The Enhanced version is probably dx12, in which case you would need a dx12 profile to hook. Standard Metro Exodus is dx11.

Try using a copy of dx12 profiles like Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding, RDR2, CyberPunk. Any of these should hook, it’s just a matter of which one finds the correct depth buffer for 3D.

Note that dx12 supports Z3D only, so if you intend to play G3D you should stick to the Standard dx11 version.

Hi. I’m on Quest 2 and Virtual Desktop. I’ve had Cyberpunk (GOG) working great for some time. Then today when I started it, VorpX gave a message about missing a component, so I installed it. It didn’t say what component was missing, or what it installed. I selected to install it, and it just closed out of VorpX.

It took much longer than usual to enter the game, (from the time I selected “Continue” to the time it actually entered the game,) and it’s stuck in EdgePeek mode when Full VR is selected. I tried Immersive and Cinema modes, and they seem to work fine. I tried both the thumbstick and the middle mouse button to exit EdgePeek, but neither work.

Also, now when I exit the game, I get a message that it crashed even when I exit the game through the menu. And now the VR controllers don’t work. They worked fine the first time I started after the missing component message, but now they don’t. They work fine as far as the Quest is concerned – I can still bring up the menu to quit Virtual Desktop and all that – but as far as controlling the game is concerned, they’re non-responsive.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thabks for your answer, Ralf. I really dont know what happened here.
After Titanfall 2 and Mirror edge, I tried Fallout 3 (wooooow!!! It worked!!!), Deus ex human revolution (bad;psvr 1 like resoulution and distúrbing tiny hands) and Dishobored 1 (good visuals but had to use direct scan sometimes during gameplay because it messes up in game) and all of them hooked first time maybe just changing in hook helpers.
Maybe these games didnt had any issues because were started in Steam, while Mirror and Titan needed Ea play to start? But why then Mass effect original 1 worked with ea play on (and then stopped working) and The Witcher 1 Steam wont start? Well ots a bit frustating but I cant be happier playing these games in VR and very afraid that Rdr2 and Cyberpunk maybe wont hook too if I try. Im very happy with your work and that you still want to improve in future releases.

I am running Cyberpunk 2077 v2.13 and it is crashing as soon as the game launches.

I am getting a popup saying that the mod was built for 2.12 and doesn’t support 2.13.

Will there be an update to resolve this?

I installed the vorpx Cyperpunk standalone mod and it doesn´t seem to work at all.

I tried launching it from my desktop using quest link as well as just launching it from steam link, both result in cyperpunk just launching as a “screen” rather than as a vr title. When launching from using quest link the sound works, however when launching using steam link it does not. In both cases I am unable to progress further than the screen prompting me to press a button, with the game prompting me to “PRESSTO CONTINUE” rather than ” PRESS B TO CONTInuE”. The game does not respond to controller inputs while crashing from keyboard inputs.

I have tried pretty much all of the solutions I found in this forum but none of them worked for me.

    Hello,
whenever I’m using standalone or general version of VorpX, I have the same problem. Game opens fine, I have everything working in VR. But as soon as I click on the game to make game focused game will crash in an instant or in a minute. If I happen to run game in the background then I’m able to enter into game and actually play (with gamepad) but there is a problem with aiming for example.
Game crashes on main menu as well as loading screen or in game, as soon as I bring focus to Cyberpunk 2077 window.
Antivirus was turned off, all the overlays and other programs that may interupt as well. VorpX is working for me on older game like Bioshock DX9.

    What should I do?

    What I’m working with:

    QUEST 3, i9, 32gRam, 4070 RTX
    – COPY of Updated Vorpx CYBERPUNK Standalone mod dated SEPT 2024
    – Copy of CYBERPUNK 2077 2.13 + Phantom Liberty

Everyone remembers what happened the dreadful week of the the infamous 2.13 update drop.
Many solutions were sought. Many things wouldn’t work no matter how closely defined my actions were to the instructions concerning CET and the like.

I was ecstatic that Ralf powered by Vorpx, or rather Vorpx powered by Ralf – was quick to update the stand alone mod and link. In my neck of the woods internet is non existent so after installing and and reinstalling with fixes in different combinations and orders it took forever each time I got exhausted – you have no idea how slow of a connection lol
I looked forward to downloading CP2077 what I thought would be the final time and began to install the new updated standalone {all smiles}.

Unfortunately I was stuck in the game waiting room , with the same message of “my version of cyberpunk being newer” ..etc etc. Realizing it could be a false message (see above if it linked properly) I sought to continue : However I noticed that I wasn’t able to use either the keyboard or Quest 3 controllers to continue. I was able to use the grips to use the vorpx configuration menu ( open and close the menu) – that was it. I changed a few settings in vorpx menu – gamepad back to keyboard etc – Mouse was only working in vorpx menu. upon closing the menu AND after the opening intro movie I would get a message saying {!} CONTROLLER DISCONNECTED Please Reconnect controller. No controller buttons or keyboard would work (other image if posted correctly)- I Never post to Forums, as most threads seem a spiral into condescension to the poster -Among other things Im embarrassed I cant figure this out – and reading comments on videos expressing that it worked first try no fuss no muss – Im pulling out what 3 hairs I have left on my head. Ive tried everything – I, in my heart think its got to be something I’ve overlooked, or accidental setting change.
**Headset selection on The –CyberpunkVR config link — oculus headsets , rift , Quest via Oculus link is selected** (I’ve always used questlink for this game with unfailing great results)

If anyone can Help, I would owe you my soul.

    Thanks in advance,

Yeah don’t get me wrong it would of course be better if i could get it working as intended but as long as i can still play Red Dead & Cyberpunk in VR then i’m happy.
