Hi everyone. I wanted to try Cyberpunk in Vr so I downloaded the Standalone. I’m using the Quest 2 with Link (cable). And I open the game with GOG Galaxy. When I open the game, I’m seeing the game icon loading in VR but just doesn’t start. Then also I get the message on my PC that Cyberpunk has flatlined. Now I see that the Cyberpunk.exe file is in the bin-map. So I tried to reinstall the standalone in the bin, but it doesn’t find Cyberpunk, it only finds the RedLauncher in the Cyberpunk directory. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.
Please make sure that your CP2077 controls are also set to default and you do dont use any tool/mod that affects input. Under normal circumstances everything is preconfigured correctly out of the box.
I found the problem.
Go to Steam library/ right-click on Cyberpunk 2077/Settings/Controller and in the drop-down menu activate Steam- Input.
Now the controls are fully working as a gamepad.
Please reinstall the mod to ensure that all settings are set to their defaults. Also reset your Cyberpunk input settings to default. Per default the steering gestures work like analog sticks on a gamepad.
Just to be sure…
Should the control settings set to KB/Mouse or to Gamepad in the VORPX Menü?
When i use the KB/Mouse option are the Steering Analog or Digital?
I tryed both but the results are the same for me…
Next step i try to reinstall like you said.
And thx for your fast response!

I love the gesture controls from Vorpx in Cyberpunk but the Steering in Cars is pretty hard to use for me….
I bought the full version of vorpx a long time ago but Cyberpunk i use the standalone Mod for the gesture feature but my Problem is when i try to Steer the car The steering wheel can only be turned fully or nothing at all, which means it is almost absolutely impossible to steer with any degree of precision.
The Steeringwheel icon appears and followes almost exact the motion from my Oculus Controllers, but the Steeringwheel from my car is only move to full right, straight or full left…
Is there something i make wrong here, or is this just the limitation of the gesture controls?
Hi Ralf,
Its been quite awhile since this was released and these features available to Cyberpunk are still not available in any new stable release. I have tried the latest beta version of Vorpx and Cyberpunk is done really well, but its not stable on my PC, keeps intermittently restarting or crashing. The stable version does not give me the same issues but playing Cyberpunk using that clearly has some significant drawbacks. Do you have any indication when a new stable version of Vorpx will be released with all the goodness of the beta minus the instability.
Thanks,
regards,
Johnny
Whenever I use the pistol aim hand gesture for the Cyberpunk free vorpx mod, it reliably crashes. Within 2 minutes of messing around with it.
Really amazing how good Cyberpunk 2077 looks in VR with this free(!) mod.
I have a 3090/5800x3d/Pimax Crystal and if i check with fpsvr my CPU is limited to below 50fps? So my CPU seems to be the bottleneck? Also i get the stutters when turning with the controllers, just read that i have to check the fps ingame with ctr-F and watch the second number – will do that tomorrow.
Question: does an upgrade to a faster CPU like a 9800x3d eliminate the CPU bottleneck?
What CPU Performance do you guys with a faster CPU like an 7800x3d have? I do want to stick with my am4 platform as long as possible, but if this game forces me to upgrade…
BTW., i have the vorpx quality settings at max, ingame most at med/high, no rt, dlss4 performance. Vorpx framerate cap at 50% and headset at 90Hz. Somehow the ingame aspect ratio is 16/9, so many pixel wasted. Should i set the i game resolution to a 4:3 one?
I really want that CPU limit gone and a smooth controller turning! Should i try to run via OpenXR and use Pimax eyetracking with quadview rendering to gain a few fps? Does it even work with vorpX DirectVR?
So much tinkering possible…but the result is breathtaking! Thank you Ralf!
Hello,
Wanted to ask if Mod Manager would be supported as to allow VorpX to correctly hook Cyberpunk 2077 of it being launched by Mod Manager. I have added a lot of mods and additional jobs/missions and would like to utilize VorpX with Mod Manager and Cyberpunk if at all possible.
I don’t know if there is another game with CryEngine DX12.
There probably will be a profile someday.
You can try other DX12 games : Cyberpunk 2077, Frontier Of Pandora / Resident Evil Village, Atomic Heart, etc. but it’s not CryEngine.
Can anyone tell me what vorpx version I should be running to get a good 3d effect for cyberpunk. I’m really trying to weigh my options with trying to get the most out of CyberPunk 2077 in VR. I’ve tried luke ross and it can be choppy in some areas. When I say which vorpx version, should I be using the free version(the free download for cyberpunk) or my paid version of the Vorpx app? Does one offer 3D over the other or is it still going to look flat regardless of version?
I can’t get it to start in any way so I’d like to get rid of it, except there’s no uninstaller or any instruction to be found about this
Please 1. try to reset the the controller option in Cyberpunk to default and 2. make sure that Cyberpunk is running in the foregroung, e.g. by clicking into its window once.
Using the KB/mouse emulation may be a workaround, but the default gamepad mode is heavily recommended for various reasons in this case.
Two things:
1. Reset the game’s graphics options to medium before launching it with the mod. certain graphics setting like DLSS may interfere with the mod.
2. the mod uses the CyberEngineTweaks modding framework. Since each version of the CET unfortunately only works with the Cyberpunk version it was made for, you have to make sure that both the mod and your Cyberpunk are up-to-date.
Unrelated, but while am at it:
Once you got it working, make sure to actually read the instructions that are offered to you in the headset on launch. That’s time well spent. Hectically clicking stuff away just makes things less enjoyable. :)
i wanted to try the quality of vorpx before i buy it and that’s probably what the cyberpunk mod is made for ;) unfortunately the game crashes right in the intro (2nd screen, the cdpr logo). i’m on a relatively fresh win11 installation on a realtively modern system (7950x3d with 128gb ram and a 4070). i used the steamvr installation because i’m using virtual desktop, although i’m using a quest 3 as headset.
i really want to like vorpx cause u REALLY want to enjoy ac origins discovery tour ^_^ so i hope its only a small problem ^_^
