nieda113ParticipantHi today i gave it another try. I had several user installed in win10. Normally i log in as user1. Today i logged in as a different user/ I checked for priviledges and changed all to give permisson to my user1 profile from a different login user. Further I noticed an old vorpx installation from 2015. I removed that vorpx files. The next step was to login as user1 again. I started oculus and vorpx. Hit the rockstar launcher and guess what GTA5 runs in vorpx as it used to. Reallz i dont know what happened, i only can guess the latest update from win10 did srew with my files. Ahh forget i removed all admin setting from gta files and vorpx files. I noticed with the latest vorpx update the feature alternate hooking method was enabled i unchecked this too. All this made mz game work again, but what caused that is still a mistery, and i am for sure dont what to change anything again to find the root of the problems. So game is up and seems running better even farcrz 5 is like perfect.Just fyi.
@jesus,, i have that real vr for gta 5. its working fine. But i like voprx.Nov 21, 2019 at 2:00pm #190359In reply to: Need help GTA5
JESUSTAYSParticipantI have used vorpx for gta5.Playing it with vorpx for like five years.Yes I have had a good and bad history with it too.Mostly good and now it seems to be very well. The pc boots the game and hooks it and starts fine. Those many mods at times can conflict it too.Tell you the truth of you start a fresh install you may have less issues.Ralf of course is the Einstein who designed this possibility.Make sure to use the gtavr mod that puts the game in full motion control. This is not lukeross’ real mod.Lukeross mod is exclusive for oculus only and doesn’t use vorpx. If you have both real mod and the gtavr files together it won’t start.I had so much trouble too starting up gta5 in vr.Had too wipe my pc at times and reinstall fresh.First try that with gta5.Only uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t always work for me.You have to delete all the gta5 files in the steam folder.Ralf assisted me and can most liking assist you too.But what got it working every time was doing that.A fresh full wipe.

nieda113ParticipantHi, as of a sudden gta 5 wont hook anymore. I had vorpx blocked through my firewall. The new windows update installed and i removed the firewall block of vorpx. I downloaded a cloud profile for rdr2. Now i cant get vorpx to load gta5 anymore. I verified the game. Removed all files that were not original. Vorpx tries to hook, i shortly see the message vorpx hooking to gta5 exe. Thats all the game starts but now vorpx. I use the new rockstar launcher.I tried in admin mode, i check all priviledges..no success. What else can i check ? The game used to hook on earlier voprx versions. So pls if someone has an idea….

dellrifter22ParticipantI tried the fov tool tonight. It works wonders for the first person view. It could be great in fullVR if only the context HUD weren’t hiding so far in the corners. For now I may just use maximum zoom cinema to mimic the fullVR view. Here’s a test example:
The tool is easy enough to use, if only it could report and store a number value though.
First exclude the mod exe from vorpX so it doesn’t attempt to hook. Load into the game world, then Alt+tab to desktop and run mod exe. Back in the game,, press F3 to toggle fov mode and increase/decrease with F8/F7.
pressing ~50 increments looked good for me for FullVR around 0.80 zoom, but go as high as you like.
You can reduce headbob for horse riding in the RDR2 Camera settings.
You can toggle a slow walk for first person by setting movement speed to “tap and hold” under the accessibility settings. This will make first person behave much like GTA5, where jog is the default state until you toggle walk with Shift key. Not most ideal, but default won’t let you walk slow at all.
3rd person also looks good in fullVR with fov mod. I’ll likely switch between both, since the 3rd person animations are so good. Can’t beat first person view for best scale and immersion though.
I’ll be messing around with it tomorrow a lot more for sure, I just wanted to share my early findings for anyone looking to dive in this weekend.
Please note that there is always risk in using mods, and you should not attempt to use this for the Online multiplayer. So far, no reports of problems with singleplayer.

JESUSTAYSParticipantSo I spent much of last week trying hacks and fixes to get the directvr to work with no success. But today with the current gta update and latest vorpx release I was really surprised that it looks great in immersive mode. With the gtavr mod(not oculus standalone but orig) it really doesn’t make a huge difference in immersive compared to full vr with directvr activated.
Oct 28, 2019 at 2:39pm #188745In reply to: Is it possible to remove an official profile ?
JESUSTAYSParticipantI need to use older custom vorpx profiles for a downgraded gta 5 so I need to use a cloud profile and not the official vorpx one.It would be nice to be able to at least deactivate the official vorpx profiles and use your choice of cloud ones.Jesusavesouls !

madcapParticipantI have implemented a workaround for the next update that makes vorpX use the old method when the mod is detected. Will probably be out in two weeks or so.
That’s great news Ralf !
Here’s hoping the old method worked with the Rift. :)

JESUSTAYSParticipantI would like to use a cloud profile rather than the official vorpx gta 5 but the vorpx take precedence over the cloud ones.So I can’t attach a cloud one to get 5 because vorpx profile already is attached. Can I deactivate the vorpx official local profile ? Jesusavesouls !

JESUSTAYSParticipantSo my downgraded gta5 runs fine but when using vorpx it stops at the rockstar sign in page saying can’t connect to rockstar servers and gta 5 needs the internet to activate. If I go online with steam then my game will update too.So is vorpx looking for the latest gta5 version ? It can’t play the older versions on the latest vorpx ? Jesus is mankind’s sole hope !

JESUSTAYSParticipantI hve been a supporter or vorpx since 2015 and promote it.Not always working on everything but many things.I got to ply colonial marines in vr and avr 2010 and of course countless hours of gta 5.When you mde it possible to play gta 5 in vr with directvr not needing the gtavtr mod that ws a cool option to really have a full body of the character in vr.So thanks for your efforts and updates and innovative software. In this world with vr starting to go mainstream its very nice to still use vorpx. So is it possible to downgrade my gta version and use the former direct vr ?Jesusaves!

JESUSTAYSParticipantSo can I deactivate the official vorpx profile that I may use a older one ? Does vorpx have older official ones available for gta 5 as I downgraded to…1.0.1737.0.Jesusavesouls !

Ansonsten seien Dir die Good Full VR Games for Beginners ans Herz gelegt.
