Hey there, I’m trying to get GTA IV working in VorpX in 2023 with the first person mod but I can’t seem to get decent 3d in VR because VorpX have taken all R.A.G.E engine game profiles away (both local and cloud profiles)

If anyone could link me to their GTA IV profile (or to a profile for a different R.A.G.E game that would work for GTA IV) g3d or even z3d, you would wholeheartedly make my (and I’m sure many other peoples) days to come!

Thank you, I await your response with the upmost hope and anticipation.

When things are allowed to grow naturally, awesome stuff takes place. Notice the Dolphin / PSP fork was growing, the developer was a genius and he got taken out by a bunch of social justice pricks.

GTA V had an awesome mod, it didn’t hurt anybody, it made the game absolutely amazing… taken out by a bunch of social justice pricks.

VRChat taken out by a bunch social justice pricks who couldn’t take a joke.

Our culture is in free fall right now, I’m sure you’re all paying attention.

If these people who feel offended at everything would just log off the game of life, all of humanity would benefit, we’d probably have George Jetson flying cars right now. Anything these rat bastards get their claws into, pretty much fails within a few years. Look at Disney Star Wars, my god that could’ve been awesome but no… take the best IPs from our culture and totally wipe them out. It’ll be no different in VR, they want to control what you think, how you play and what media you’re allowed to see. The Metaverse allows them to do that, not to mention the ‘always on/call home’ feature included in the new Oculus head sets. They really want to ensure that ‘wrong think’ does not go un-punished.

I really miss aspects of the world before the net. I didn’t have to worry about speaking my mind or videos being posted online. We had our local BBS and our offline games and that was it. Nobody was into anybody else’s business, the world was quiet, disconnected and computers were for business and games, there was no social media, myspace, tik tok. No stupid people used computers.

As technology proliferates and becomes acceptable, it seems it becomes dumbed down for society’s rejects. The only people on the BBS during my generation were HIGH IQ guys and girls who could build a computer without a second thought. Message forums were filled with interesting theories, questions and etiquette. By comparison to Facebook today, half the userbase belongs on Jerry Springer, the other half live in homeless shelters. The internet has really given stupid people a voice… and VR is the next step. I look at VorpX like that early tech, the only people using it are the HIGH IQ guys and gals. The rest of the VR world is going to be made up of hicks, thugs and losers wandering around being offended at everything.

You can still play GTA V from the same dev that received the original takedown. Google GTA V Real Mod Github. There are plenty of other games that work with VorpX.

PUBG is not the same publisher that issued the takedown btw. It is an online game, so that may be the limitation as injectors are not allowed for online gaming for many popular titles.

Also, Ralf doesn’t do refunds. :|

Yes that’s true, but Valve with their next gen standalone Headset and Sony with the PSVR2 will be still available. And in the B2B market the VR Headsets are industry standard in so many company’s, medicine and science etc. and this is irreversible. But we will have to pay much more for our VR Headsets if PC-VR is only possible with B2B Headsets.

I keep my fingers crossed that Metaverse will be successful, but it needs one more important thing to be interesting for the masses, and that is the topic relationships and sex. Mark added the status of the relationships to Facebook and that was the one special thing that made the whole social media thing interesting for most of the people. The success of Instagram is without sexual allusions in the stories unthinkable, too. Everyone who likes porn in general, and has seen a porn in 4K 3D on a VR Headset will buy a VR Headset very soon. But the masses don’t even know what they are missing. And if that will be possible for couples with webcams live in real time, or webcam boys or girls live in real time, it will make the metaverse successful. This 3D Mode can be used just for dating and to get to know without sex, too.

In my opinion the comic style of the metaverse is bullshit, everyone should buy 3D webcams within a chip that that supports hardware encoding of the stream in real time. With the smaller Headsets looking like glasses and wireless streaming in the future, that’s interesting for the B2B market for conferences or just for video calling in the business sector, too. But in the moment the metaverse is ugly and boring, and even the employees of meta have no desire to use it !

I think the metaverse bubble will attract VR Hostiles for example like the CEO of 2K to develop GTA 6 for VR headsets, and many other VR Hostiles to poured billions of dollars into VR. I think that is the reason why he is fighting again the modding scene. I hope that so many people will have a positive experience with VR before Meta fails, that VR will still survive. VR gaming, dating and working isn’t a nerd thing, the masses will like that but not with this ugly uncomfortable metaverse in the moment.

    Ralf posted solution already :)

First please try to update the ScriptHook modding library. It recently got broken by a game update: http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/

If you use other mods, copy it normally to the game folder. If you only use vorpX and no other mods, you can alternatively just copy ScriptHookV.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\Plugins. vorpX loads it from there if it’s not in the game folder.

    If that does not help:

Try without the dedicated mod portion that comes with vorpX since last summer. Not sure, but I could imagine that it’s not compatible with FiveM. Of course the would disable all the good stuff that the mod provides (better G3D, VR compatible FOV, decoupled walk/look, optimized cameras etc.), but with some luck it *might* at least allow you to play FiveM in immersive screen/cinema mode.

The mod portion of the profile can be disabled by renaming/removing vpxGTAV.dll from the vorpX plugins folder mentioned above.

    @ all :

Thanks! BTW: This basically is a generalized, extended and configurable version of the gestures present in the free standalone Cyberpunk mod. Since the release is still two or three weeks away, you can check that if you are curious: https://www.vorpx.com/cyberpunk-vr-download/. Comes with driving, aiming, grenade and melee gestures, so it provides a good overview of what to expect.

    @ luris :

Works perfectly fine on top of the motion controller button mapping. You can even have the same action bound to a button and gesture at the same time. So you can use gestures when you feel like it, but you never have to.

    @ Tiggerdyret :

vorpX these days can decouple head and body rotation for a few of games, namely GTA V, RDR 2 as well as in the standalone Cyberpunk mod, but that’s not related to the gesture system. In these cases I added individual mods that interact more deeply with the game engines than vorpX does normally.

What the gesture system can and cannot do depends on the game. If i.e. a shooter has an aiming down sights mode, you simply bind the ADS gesture(s) to the according key/gamepad button. Very straight forward. However, if a game dosn’t have an aiming down sights mode, the gesture system does not add one. One could say how useful the gestures are very much depends on whether a game does or doesn’t things that lend themselves well to be controlled via gestures in a natural fashion.

Simply put. NO. GTA5 REAL mod works in Direct X 11, so why advertise that it is true 3D in all these games. I am willing to pay more money, if that is what this is all about.Thank you for what VORPX does, but it could be so much better with more time investment. I would pay a monthly fee if you had a team on this.
I am very happy with my purchase.

I just want more. Give me Give me Give me. <3

Yes, motion controller gestures are also coming to other games. Typically with less gestures per game (e.g. shooters with shooting gestures, driving games with driving gestures etc), but there also are two more BIG titles where vorpX has a dedicated mod portion similar to Cyberpunk that gives me the information necesssary to know whether e.g. the player is currently driving a car, holding a gun etc: GTA V and Red Dead Redemption II. So those will get the full treatment with different gestures based on gameplay state in the next vorpX update.

You have to wait for the next update then, sorry. Same situation here: the game specific mod currently is pretty much FullVR centric, so some settings in the menu don’t really have an effect or aren’t available at all. Didn’t really occur to at the time why anyone would want to play a game with FullVR support as close to a native VR title like this in cinema mode.

If you want, you can disable the mod portion entirely, but then you lose all its features (including alternate frame 3d). To do that remove/rename C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\Pulgins\vpxGTAV.dll.

    Got it working yeeeaaahhhh

Using mobile data to download and transfer into PC worked, thank you

    Overall it’s a great mod

    Some things though

Could the fov be tweaked when aiming

The guns seem massive…..its a nitpick though if I’m honest….they handle so well with the gesture controls

The interact gesture is very hit and miss for me

I can only trigger it sometimes

But….what if the melee gestures could be mapped to interact with the left controller?

    Punch = reach
    Swing = swipe/grab

So left hand for interact right hand for melee?

    Also, the motorbike

Can the controller bindings change when the handle bar gesture is activated?

So the trigger can become the break?

Also if you could map the analog trigger to the rotation/roll of the right controller you could have a pretty cool bike accelorator

All little suggestions/nitpicks….but Ralf….my God….this mod is awesome

If you could put the gestures into GTA V and red dead…..you would be blowing Luke Ross right out of the water 😂

I’m not sure if this still works. Since last summer vorpX comes with a dedicated mod for GTA V that ceratinly won’t work in GTA Online, and I have no idea whether it does for FiveM or not.

You can however disable the mod. That will disable all its features like alternate frame 3d, custom cameras, automatic FOV etc, but it might help you. To disable the mod, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\Plugins and rename vpxGTA5.dll to e.g. vpXGTA5.disabled.

I do not like the native scene. Most of the games are experimental and last 2-3 hours. Just now I play Dishonored 2 and Jedi Fallen Order with VorPx, those are top games and I want to play good games.

Also many games are designed for the Quest, and there are many casual gamers.

Concerning PS5: since this is a closed system, does anybody know whether Sony delivers some suppoert for developers who want to make their games hybrid? If they dont do we will simply not see many hybrid games.

Also I hope for some remakes on the PS5 for VR. They do all kind of remakes for the last of us or GTA 5, a version for PSVR 2 would be appreciated.

As I said I think hybrid gaming is the future, native games will never be really successful.

Please reinstall vorpX using the web installer. Early December I uploaded a small update that fixes an issue when entering cars in GTA V. Didn’t want to raise the version number just for this single fix, so you didn’t receive it automatically if you already had the latest version installed.
