@Ralf could you take a look at Metro 2033 Redux? Seems like it shouldn’t be this complicated. I’m sure you’re busy making VorpX awesome in other ways, but when you have time, please.

‘Official’ tip: Quake 3, map: q3dm17. You probably won’t get more non-stop action anywhere (iron stomach highly recommended).

Crysis and Crysis 3 probably also fall in the non-stop action category. Crysis 3 will get a few fx fixes shortly, so worth to wait a few days. The Metro games might also fit, although I’m not 100% sure whether these really are pure shooters, never played far enough. Far better than its reputation is Aliens: Colonial Marines, absolutely worth a look.

If third person games in immersive screen mode also sound interesting, Vanquish and Bayonetta might be something. Maybe also Psychonauts.

Thanks for the instructions! I’m sort of getting ready for the new Metro Exodus, and thought it would be awesome (!) to play the Metro Games to get ready in VorpX, lol. I appreciate the help.

Mine was crashing the same.

By restoring pre-vorpX settings, disabling vorpX optimization, and creating a fresh cfg, I was able to load into the game.

rename/delete user.cfg in both:
C/Users/yourname/Appdata/locale/4Agames/Metro 2033/manynumbers/User.cfg
and Steam\SteamApps\common\Metro 2033 Redux\user.cfg

This will create a new cfg upon launch.

Might just be a bug with vorpX optimizer that a game update broke.

Now I need to figure out why all my keybinds are unassigned.

Could someone else check and see if they can get into the actual game? VorpX hooks, and the HMD displays the intro video, but the game crashes when the menu loads. I tried in Admin mode, and loaded the game without VorpX (it ran fine). If someone could get back to me and let me know if you’re having a similar problem. If not, then it’s just me! Lol, thanks! =)

I have tried BF4 and metro. I hear a clicking noise when I hit the number one mouse button but nothing happens. When I take the headset off the mouse button functions as it supposed to. However when I put the headset back on the mouse button is non functional as if it’s expecting me to have hand controllers which I do not have.

Hi,I installed Metro 2033 redux hours ago, in my case, it is working normally.
At the moment I have no crash, nor lost g3d.

(Windows 10 last update release,drivers nvidia 398.36,Oculus Cv1)

The only “negative parts” or that I would like to improve for the support of this title are:
Decals, have a somewhat strange or annoying effect after shooting on the walls with G3D, I would prefer to deactivate them if this were possible or try to solve it in another way.

The part that I miss most with these titles…or that I consider most necessary, is the functionality in Vorpx to activate / deactivate an additional croshair inside internal menu. In this way, we could better adjust the aim especially when we make slight changes / adjustments in strength / scale among other things.

Hi everyone,

Since last update, when I open Metro33Redux and M33LastLightRedux it closes to desktop after intro videos, previously they worked. I’ve tried uninstalling antivirus, reinstalling the games and deactivating steam interface, no results. I have every driver and program up to date.

Rest of the games work as usual.

Any ideas?

Changing resolution is a thought; and, one thing I haven’t tried yet. It’s worth a shot. I did wonder if the old Metro would have the same problem. If not, might as well use that one. Thanks for the response. We’ll see how it goes.

Any other clues/tips definitely welcome!

Sounds like a rather odd issue, nothing I heard of before. One thing you could try is checking whether changing the game’s resolution makes a differece.

If you also have access to the ‘old’ DX9 Metro 2033, please also try that one. Looks almost identical and works just as well with vorpX.
