Which profile exactly were you are using for this ? As far i know vorpX does not provide SBS settings without a profile.

I finally got the time to get back to this. Thanks, dellrifter22, it worked. I did not even know that vorpx has the SBS functionality within profiles. It looks great, despite the reduction in resolution due to SBS. RJK_, I may try your profiles later, thanks for the tip.
Baktus, are you sure? I don’t find any g3d or z3d option in the vanilla profile.
I think you are meant to play RotTR in vorpX cinema/desktop with SBS enabled in game (game has native SBS 3D support as mentioned). I don’t think vorpX injects any of it’s own 3D methods for this game.
This means if the profile isn’t in SBS mode by default, you should change it to SBS from the vorpX game menu. Or try it through the vorpX desktop viewer with SBS.
You could try one of my profiles from the cloud.
-Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness
-Avatar (SBS)
Does the official profile for Rise of the Tomb Raider provide any 3D option? I do not see any 3D option in the vorpx in-game menu, but I don’t know if this is my problem or it is supposed to be like that so far.
I think I tried it with Vorpx and was surprised that it didn’t seem to have any 3D mode .. which is strange because the game has a BUILT IN SBS 3D mode that works really, really well … you just can’t use it in Vorpx.
I ended up playing it in its native 3D mode using Virtual Desktop.
Hi Ralf,
I think that I have not expressed well, What I am developing is a tracked virtual screen, I don’t need any distortion because is done by my software.
is a virtual 3d sbs screen, so It needs a pure sbs image, like the one of reshade/depth, or tridef 3d produces.
I need this type of output https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/t_kJYB3BcZHAf1o-1MieaYwMNFd5XdWYd3tEqfdmAa8W39hLrzFuiAsn2pTbA6gA3-6K=h900
Not onr like this http://hwahba.com/ibex/files/ibex-win-sbs-video.jpg
I expect to have expressed better.
Thank you!!!
Hi Ralf, thanks for your response.
I’ve tried to customize the distortion in the vorpX ingame menu, but I have been unable to configure it correctly to output to a pure side by side.
Do you think it is possible to get it by a correct configuration?
I’am developing an fork of moonlight for the daydream platform, and I need a pure sbs output like the one of tridef 3d to get the 3d running on the virtual screen.

YEEAAR !!
Unreal Tournament 2004 (G3D)
To get UT2004 to run with VorpX You must manually enable the OpenGL Renderer in UT2004.ini . You find this in the same folder then then your game’s exe.
change this
RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
to
;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
and
;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
to
RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
IMPORTANT : Before you do that start the game once and make your settings like resolution ect. Otherwise the game might crash while in OpenGL Mode.
I have uploaded two different profiles to the cloud, one with a resizable HUD (this one is buggy, the HUD flickers a little), but nice hood depth. The other one has HUD locked and Edgepeek set to 2D for better readability.

Call of Duty: United Offensive (G3D)
Same as COD 1, Headtracking needs to be recentered occasionally and after entering game. Use Edgepaaek for better Aiming, great shooting from vehilces.
SBS Screenshot

Call of Duty (G3D) with Contoller Support, Headtracking, Pos. Headtracking . Aiming is still a problem because with a good 3D effect weapons appear too close in sniper mode, therefore use Edgepeek in mono for targeting. Get the profile from the cloud.

Hi,
in vorpx configuration I have selected “Generic Vr headset” but the only elegible option on the Head tracker combo is “none”.
is this correct, had to reinstall?
there is some way to fill this combo?
Another semi related question, would be dificult to add a purely “side by side” output to vorpx?, I mean, without any distortion.
I think that Vorpx lately has taken a big leap in his facet as a 3D driver, with a lot and great games with geo 3d, and I think it would be an “unexpensive” way to give more coolnes to Vorpx.
thanks.
Can you show us an SBS screenshot of that game ?
Hi, its not that reshade doesnt work with vorpx, it actually does. The problem is oculus 2.0 sdk, here reshade does not hook, because corsire denies to keep on developing for oculus sdk . So if u use 3ddepth shader u can use reshade and all the benefits but u cant use vorpx. I a m personally doubt that sbs is giving u a real 3 d feeling since the only real 3d is G3D.
Performance wise ,sbs and 3d depth shader with reshade settinds depends on the shaders u use additionally if u use minimal shader u will have almost no performance drop compared to the original game.
It does not make sense to use reshade+Depth3D with vorpX.
You can test that by changing the output mode of reshade. VorpX will not follow that because its hooks into the game, not in the reshade ouput.
What you are seeing in the HMD when using reshade+Depth3D is the vorpX hook, not the reshade hook.
– VorpX doent hook into the reshade output, it only looks like it
– VorpX hooks into the game providing Z-Buffer 3D
– if Depth3D would work with SBS+VorpX for example (that was my hope too when i tried) it only would provide Z-buffer 3D.
– so using VorpX providing Z-buffer 3D is much faster (thats what Ralf said) in any case

There is still a bunch of confusion about G3D, Z-Buffer and stuff, many people havent ever seen a proper 3D so a z-buffer 3D already amazes them.
Im my eyes the main target for vorpX should be to make a G3D possible for any 3D game (older ones too !), this would wipe out all needless testing with other software forever.
hey Ralf, did you manage to try it out and see if it worked or not? i almost did it but i can’t get the stereo to be enabled for SBS or over under modes :/
