dborosevParticipant
This doesn’t sound too good. No geometry is a deal breaker.
It just sounds like head tracking. I’d rather play in cinema mode with Geometry.
What profile was used?dborosevParticipantInteresting about the Vive only. I have a vive, so that would make sense.
Ralf – this gives me hope that its just something in the Vive beta that can be tweaked to get it working?dborosevParticipantYeah but playing on Z adaptive kind of sucks after seeing it in true 3d.
dborosevParticipantRalf, to supplement this, it also happens with various power effects. ie. when you use “adrenaline rush”, the screen goes wonky.
So its unplayable as-is, unless there is a way to fix this. (Btw, this is in cinema mode for me)dborosevParticipantTry it in cinema mode. Its the only way I use it now. Amazing.
dborosevParticipantI play all my first person shooters in this mode. Best experience I’ve ever had gaming.
dborosevParticipantI don’t think its an anti-aliasing issue. The lights look different through each eye in geometry mode.
dborosevParticipantI’ll second this. And watch-dogs 2.
dborosevParticipantDoes this fix the lighting issues in geometry mode?
dborosevParticipantI actually play all of my vorpx games in cinema mode, and I love it. Its the only way to play. And no, if set up right, its not like watching a big screen. More like being right in VR, but using the mouse for movements.
dborosevParticipantCool. Looking forward to it, fingers crossed..
dborosevParticipantHey Ralf,
Yeah Ive tried that, having it cranked up to 2048×1440. But it only helps a bit. There is something else going on, and I’ve seen other complaints about it as well. Perhaps something with its built in sbs mode.
Almost looks like it’s rendering shading differently with each eye along areas of object edges. One eye shaded and the other not. Hard to tell.
Also, The fov is only adjustable to a certain amount, which is not enough in my opinion.
Anyway have a look. I’ll wait for the official profile and see how you make out. Hopefully it’s fixable.
Cheers!dborosevParticipantGlad for all the work and updates you are doing as well. Great piece of software. But yes I agree with the above, the updates can be a bit disruptive. Small thing, maybe a future enhancement. A constant nag popup on opening vorpx would be preferred. Let us choose a good update time.
dborosevParticipantSorry, I meant dxgi.dll. Here is the readme from the mod, in case it helps you know what it is:
Enhanced FoV Options for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Made by SeanPThis mod allows you to change the Field of View in DXMD (including higher or lower values than the game normally allows) at the press of a button. It also allows you to change the rendered FoV of your hands separately, so weapon animations won’t look strange on higher FoV settings.
Installation: Install the x64 Visual C++ 2015 Runtime (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145), and then merge the \Deus Ex Mankind Divided\ folder with the one in your Steam library directory (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Deus Ex Mankind Divided\)
NOTE: If you already had Special K installed before installing this, make sure you dxgi.ini has the following in it:
[Import.DXMD_FOV]
Architecture=x64
Filename=DXMD_FOV.dll
When=Lazy
Role=ThirdPartyDefault keybinds:
Increase FoV: +
Decrease FoV: –
Increase Hands FoV: period
Decrease Hands FoV: comma
Restore Player Preferred FoV: Backspace
Restore Game default FoV: DeleteYou can change the keybinds and default FoVs by going to \Deus Ex Mankind Divided\retail\ and editing DXMD_FOV.ini

This mod is built on top of Kaldaien’s Special K dll, which also adds support for other stuff (such as texture dumping). To edit Special K settings, go to the \Deus Ex Mankind Divided\ folder and edit dxgi.ini. You can find more info about Special K here: https://github.com/Kaldaien/SpecialK/releases/tag/sk_043If you find any bugs, please contact me at:

Any way to get this to work with my dxui.dll FOV fix mod? Something I can set on vorpx to allow it? -
