I have found a way to disable shadows if anyone is interested.
Load your text editor (I use Notepad++) and open the file
%localappdata%\techland\cojgunslinger\out\Settings\Video.scr
and edit the following settings:Shadows(“Low”)
ShadowMapSize(1)
SpotShadowMapSize(1)This will shrink the shadows to nothing, effectively disabling them. You can also add this line to modify the FOV:
ForcedHorzFov(110)
After you’re done editing the settings to your liking, right click the file in Windows Explorer, go to Properties, and check the Read-only box so the game doesn’t restore it’s default values. I’m not sure if it does this or not, but it’s usually a good practice. I don’t know of a way to disable the fancy border effect in the game, but this should be a good starting point to make it playable.
dirtythekidParticipantGood to hear. It looks like their anti-cheat covers a ton of games, including some major releases with great VR potential, so hopefully it opens a window to some more games being supported.
dirtythekidParticipantI contacted the Easy Anti-cheat folks and they replied the following:
[removed, see below]
Hope this gets the ball rolling on supporting a few more games.
dirtythekidParticipantThat OpenGL tease. Haven’t been playing with my Rift much lately, waiting for 0.9 to dive back in. Looking forward to it!
dirtythekidParticipantLooks like the new version is up? I love that V on the vorpX logo. Ralf you clever devil.
dirtythekidParticipantMan, you’re on top of this stuff. Can’t wait to play this one, almost feels made for VR.
dirtythekidParticipantDefinitely getting my hands on this game again now that I know it has vorpX support. I always loved this one and never understood why it wasn’t more successful. Poor game was doomed to hidden gem-itis.
dirtythekidParticipantThat’s really good news all around. Thanks.
