Look up the list of FullVR games. It should be around the forum somewhere and it’s also available within Vorpx.
My favs are probably Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite and Dark Messiah. Dishonored has some problems though unfortunately.
dleeParticipantOk I tried it out again. I had to unplug the HDMI cable from my “TV as monitor” because powering it off wasn’t enough to stop it from being detected. Once I did that the virtual monitor worked perfectly.
I played Dishonored. I cycled through a few of the Vorpx resolution presets and they all worked and none said the monitor didn’t support them.
I used a Samsung Odyssey Plus WMR headset. Played with a 360 gamepad.
dleeParticipantI tried the new beta last night with Dishonored. I really like the new “waiting room” with tips that you get on startup.
I missed the documentation on how to use the virtual monitor so I need to experiment more when I have time.
dleeParticipantIt’s a decent little game. Like Bioshock meets Amnesia maybe.
dleeParticipantI’ve got about 14 hours in it and am at Chapter 8 I think. I think it’s ok but yeah it is way overblown. I feel like for some reason a lot of people needed it to be awesome and are just validating that. Maybe because they invested big money in VR gear and so much of the VR library does suck. Heh. But I do feel like it might be more that many people haven’t really explored the VR game options out there. That seems like the only way they could say it is so incredibly fresh and amazing.
I enjoy the exploration of the environments, though they are obviously designed to be small and easy to navigate. Combat is often frustrating due to the controls and movement issues, and again was designed around that. The writing is excellent and humor is great. Creatures are interesting and creative. The hacking minigames get old and could go away I think.
