Don’t think VD and vorpx play well together, it’s another layer of overhead and conflicting res changes etc I guess. Use airlink instead, I’d rather VD but for my PC games with vorpx it generally has to be airlink

I tried VLK’s New New Vegas and aside from using Vortex (yuck) it causes issues with vorpx and ini files. Ended up with a less bloated mod, Viva New Vegas https://vivanewvegas.moddinglinked.com/intro.html which is freshly back on Wabbajack – automated install baby! If you decide to go with modded NV, make sure Mod Organizer is not redirecting ini files as it’ll mess with vorpx re: resolution, FOV etc. Go to ‘configure profile’ icon and uncheck ‘use profile-specific game ini files’ Took me ages (as with VLK) to figure out why my ‘ultra’ setting in vorpx was giving me 800 x 600 in game ;)

After a brief look, seems the 4gb patcher is included in Very Last Kiss’s very comprehensive list of mods.

Some others I’ve seen are based on Tale of Two Wastelands – ‘Capital Punishment’ and ‘Begin Again’ both on Wabbajack. I don’t wanna disappear down a mod hole though so let’s see how it goes first :D

Just redownloaded NV. I’m going in… seems that 4gb patcher is among the most needed mods. I’ll give Last Kiss a try after playing vanilla for a bit…

It’s likely to be FRIK causing the problem if you have made any adjustments to height etc. Try running without it enabled (assume using MO2 or similar) and set world scaling defaults back… Happened to me with FalloutVR essentials mod.

For clarity, in a recent update Meta (Oculus) locked down their OpenXR build, basically making it proprietary to them (and deliberately missing the point of ‘open’ in order to hamstring VD etc). VDXR is Godin’s solution to making VD workable with the oculus runtime. Airlink would be the ultimate solution if it weren’t so crashy, laggy and basically abandonware at this point. It used to be possible to bypass Oculus thru SteamVR but Meta ‘fixed’ that too. The overhead is real, folks…

This game is on offer at Epic Games. Does the mod work with their version or does it have to be Steam? TIA
