Beta? I can’t select a beta tab in my Black Mesa? And when I search the game in steam it’s not listed anyway.
I had to reboot my computer after installing Black Mesa before it appeared in my steam library. Once it appeared, I right clicked on the name and selected properties. A window will open and you’ll see the Beta tab.
lipplogParticipantI found it! Black Mesa was set to Beta in Steam. I right clicked on Black Mesa in my steam library and selected Properties. Then clicked on the Beta tab, then chose “opt out of beta”. Steam updated, and VorpX worked!
lipplogParticipantThanks! I’ll give it a try.
lipplogParticipantJust remember to turn vsync on, max fov in game and run it at 1080p.
When I run Black Mesa on my DK2 and the latest Vorpx, the image I get is squeezed as if it were being compressed by an invisible bodice.
So I have three questions:
1. When you say to turn on v-sync, do you mean the in-game option “Wait for Vertical-sync”? (I already have v-sync on in my nividia global settings).
2. I found the in-game FOV control, but moving it all the way to the right does nothing.
3. You say run the game at 1080p, but the nearest in-game resolutions available are 1024×768 or 1152×864.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
lipplogParticipantI hate to sell anything Microsoft, but upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8 resolved the majority of my issues with my DK2.
lipplogParticipantHi guys,
Came here in search of configuration tips for Alice and DK2. Not sure if your post is only relevant to the DK1, but when I replaced the F key commands with the ones you posted, the keys had no effect in the game. I’m also getting significantly and see with head movement. And the head tracking in general seems overly sensitive. If there is a better place to go for VorpX configuration tips, please let me know.
Thanks.
