Participanti can”t do Luke Ross mods because he forces you to use a gamepad instead of your controllers. Hopefully the Praydog app will be better.

ParticipantWhat if my monitor goes dark or says Out of Range? Assuming the resolution would still work in my headset, is there a way to force my pc to accept the resolution?
NEVER MOND. I WAS APPLYING AMD SETTINGS WITH A NVIDIA CARD.

ParticipantHas anyone gotten this to work? I’m having shading issues when I try it in vorpx.
lipplog
ParticipantWhat are you talking about? Bioshock doesn’t appear in the cloud section anymore.
lipplog
ParticipantDo you use the OmniUnlocked app? It allows you to play any free locomotion game in the Omni. It’s great. I use it almost every day.

ParticipantOkay. I tweaked the settings for Full VR. No need to change the names of any exes. You can download the profile from the cloud. Let me know how it works. If you can make improvements, let me know.

ParticipantOh, I also tried Restore Profile under the Troubleshooting section with the same results. Did not do the Full Factory Reset option as my other game profiles seem to be working.
lipplog
ParticipantClean install. No mods.
If by Factory Reset you mean Restore Game Settings, yes, I restored the game settings for Portal 2 and ran the game. No head tracking and scans fail. Then I tried importing the official VorpX profile from the cloud and ran the game again. Still no head tracking, and Direct VR scans still fail no matter how much I moved around. Then I tried importing different user profiles. Some of them gave me head tracking right away, but still required a scan to correct distortion. The result of which was always field of view fail and the loss of head tracking.
Would sending you data files help figure out what’s wrong?

ParticipantSent.and VorpX is up to date.

ParticipantHi, seems to depend on the game , maybe due to their render engine they restrict it ingame who knows ? whats about far cry 4 does it work there ?
I just tried Far Cry 4, and yes it works. Was able to play in 2560×1440.

ParticipantSome games can detect your hardware (monitor) and not go higher, some do it doe to desktop resolution being set low and you are running borderless.
You can try to set desktop resolution to what you want in game, then set game to borderless and restart it, see if anything changes, then set game to fullscreen and restart it, see if anything changes.
Lastly you can set it to fullscreen, quit, find game settings, put in custom resolution and make settings file read only.
Thanks. I figured it may be my 2D monitor screwing it up. I tried changing that monitor to the res I wanted in the headset, but it didn’t work. I’ll try your other suggestions.

ParticipantStrange. The game settings aren’t giving me the option of 2560×1440. I’ve tried windowed and borderless mode. Both using native 16:9 aspect ratio. And I’ve added 2560×1440 as a custom resolution, even changed my flat screen monitor to that res. Any idea what’s preventing it? Could it be a limitation on my GTX 1080 FTW?

ParticipantThanks Ralf,
Is there a way to check for updates other than just starting VorpX (normally a Mac user, so I never got why Windows makes it so hard to check a version number)? Assuming it’s up to date, where would you like me to send the last save file for the original Bioshock 2?
NOTE: I switched back to Bioshock 2 Remastered and it seems to be working great now. So I may just stick with that anyway.
