Do you have a step by step guide how to lunch this games with vorpx ? I can’t figure out if I am doing something wrong
marcobParticipantThanks! How do I lunch the game in dx12 or dx11?
marcobParticipantWhat have you tried so far?
Not even sure where to start. I tried an “Horizon Zero Dawn profile” , but vorpx is not hooking into the game.
Any suggestion please?
I am not that great in using vorpxmarcobParticipantHi guys. Could anyone pls help me to lunch the medium with vorpx in the index or pimax headsets?
I can’t make it work
thank you
marcobParticipantHi Ralf, would you be able to add something on vorpx side that can in some way automatically handle those “game pass” games that are not protected?
I do not quiet understand if I am doing something wrong so that vorpx is not hooking into these “game pass” games, or if the game I am lunching in “gamepass” is truly protectedFeb 7, 2021 at 12:40am in reply to: Natural Locomotion steamvr mod seems like it was made for vorpx #200284marcobParticipantFor who like tinkering, you can make your own custom locomotion system with arduino based micro-controllers and a few sensors
https://hackaday.io/project/176067-microcontroller-locomotion-system-for-gaming
Works directly in vr via openvr driver and in any pc and console games via xinput emulation and use of devices like titan two or zen that support xinput devices and hence their use in new and old generation consoles
marcobParticipantA g3d profile is going to take a while. The game has around 500 shaders to sort through. If you want a z3d profile, you can just use a copy of the “Grounded” profile, but the depth with that profile is minimal (I don’t think it’s the profile, the game just has a weak depth buffer).
Thank you so much for the feedback
marcobParticipantWell, despite what is says on Steam, the game is dx11 and works with existing UE4 profiles, including the split screen feature. If you want G3D the Conarium profile may be a good starting point, but it has some shadow issues. I may put together a profile at some point, but no guarantees – I usually prefer Z3D mode anyway.
Hi. Do you have a profile to share?
I would be interested.
ThanksmarcobParticipantHi James. I have cybershoes too. Would tou please be able to share photos of tour setup and maybe some gameplay while using yoir setup?
Thanks
marcobParticipantThanks Steph12! I am going to try it! What headset do you have ?
I have a pimax , an index and a quest.
I am using my diy locomotion method to walk in games by mapping WASD to my feet movements.
I have found the index for sure much more comfortable than the quest in terms of motion sickness due to the refresh rate and due to the headset being wired to the pc. Unfortunately I hate the cables coming out of the headset, also because I play in vorpx games with a room scale feeling by alking in my play area and in place for locomotion.
As for the pimax, I love hte wide fov, but I have not tested the lowed frame rate compared to the index in my case with locomotion gameplay in vorpx. I need to test and compare both
marcobParticipantThanks! I wish the vr mode would have the 3rd person view too. I like 3rd person views in vr games. You can rotate the view 360 degree around your in game character
