ParticipantTouch controllers work fine if I load CP through Vorpx, if I use the Standalone version the touch controllers don’t work.

ParticipantWe’ve had quite a lengthy discussion on the matter in the link that daggey posted above. I won’t repeat it all here obviously. Everything is working, it’s only the perspective, scale, that seems off to me. I can’t get a good combination of values/parameters between the custom resolutions in the Nvidia control panel, and the user.cfg for the fov. This is in full vr mode. I can get immersive to look ok, quit good actually, if I use the curvature settings. But, I was trying to follow the great guide that was posted at the SC forums, and just can’t quit seem to get something that’s acceptable to use, hours on end. My character always seems squished, top to bottom, yet when I look down the legs are straight, so I know their not squatting. I can push the screen away from my face using the Vorpx zoom I believe it is, but then there’s borders all the way around which I really don’t care for. SC is just one title I’m trying to get looking good in vr, most other titles I have very little issues with when using Vorpx, so it’s no biggie. I usually play SC with Trackir, but full vr would be some much nicer.

ParticipantPerhaps Ralf might have some insight, or be able to offer some solutions to the issues us Rift S users are having. I understand it’s unsupported, but he may have a trick or two up his sleeve?
I wish I knew someone with a headset other than Rift, maybe what your seeing is the same as what I’m seeing, but your ok with it, and I’m not. Could be the case, but until I see what you see, I won’t know.

ParticipantAnyone else try the above from Reddit and have success in full vr, meaning you can see the hud elements to the left?
Muskoka1847
ParticipantIt is well done, and kudos to the author on Reddit. I see the fov change as I change the res in the user.cfg, still can’t get the hud elements in view. Works ok in Immersive mode, much prefer the other, but would like to read the hud.

ParticipantTrying to follow this guide but these resolutions don’t work at my end, can’t see the hud at all.

ParticipantAlso, your figure in game looks to be “squished down” if that makes sense, and supports the theory of to wide a horizontal fov or resolution.

ParticipantNo worries, Rift S arrived today, and those controllers work just fine.

ParticipantRalf, an update came today, and the map-shift with Rift Cv1 is near impossible again. How can this be fixed up?
Muskoka1847
ParticipantThanks Ralf for the download link, Web Setup re-install worked great, map-shift working perfect.

ParticipantI’m also having this issue, lucky if my map-shift works 10% of the time with CV1, hopefully tomorrow it will be Rift S, if it arrives.
I sent a request to re-download, hope that was the correct thing to do?

ParticipantThanks….sent.

ParticipantI tried changing the in game hud size in the vorpx menus which allowed it to fit in the screen, but the hud was then way to small to look at, be usable.
Also, I’d like to use the Rifts touch controllers, but it seems it’s not mapped for what’s required in this game?
It’s also automatically switching me to 3rd person view as soon as I step out of the pod, can you not stay in 1st person view?

ParticipantBy the lack of a response I feel like I’ve asked a stupid question, which I truly don’t know the answer to.
When I click on one of the boxes in the controller mapping section, and I want it to be “blank”, meaning I want it to have no mapping, how do I do that? In some games you hit the “esc” key, but if I do that here it enters “esc”.
I don’t want anything mapped to the box in question, the one I’m trying to edit, how do I do that in vorpx?

ParticipantI had Bioshock Infinite, installed it, and it plays/looks/feels a lot better than either of the Outlast titles.
Thanks for the suggestions and help.
