I’m unsubscribing from the thread, my mailbox is full. :)

I’m wondering if there would be any way to make Elite Dangerous work with Vorpx and the 0.8 runtime. That would be awesome and would remove the need to switch back to RT 0.5.

    Any ideas?

Thanks, I’m going to give it a try later on. I’ve seen a few answers with Xpadder, but it’s not free for my system (Windows 8.1), so I’ll try with Joy2Key.

Sadly, the free Xpadder doesn’t work on Windows 8.1, and although it’s not very expensive, I’ve gone way beyond my expenses for this month.

On the thread I opened, it’s been advised I should try with Joy2Key, which I happen to have. So I’ll try that solution.

Anyway, I thought it would be simpler to use Vorpx’s emulation, but it seems I was wrong. Again.

As for the resolution, I’ll have to try mingling with the config file, because Skyrim refuses Vorpx’s auto settings. It might have worked in extended mode, but with OR’s 0.7/0.8, it doesn’t.

But thanks a lot for the help! :)

I can handle it in Skyrim

Oh, Skyrim? Any chance you could help me with the common issues I raised earlier in this thread (with link to the support thread)?

    358.78, eh?

I’ll take the risk and revert if needed.

Since this thread is still active, could I get some REAL help with setting my xbox 360 controller for Skyrim with Vorpx, and incidently a correct resolution as well? I’ve posted something in the Tech Support thread, but no luck yet.

    Skyrim (again)

    Thanks.

Since Nvidia mysteriously removed 358.70 last night, I’ve switched back to 0.7 with 358.50, just to be safe. Still works.

I managed to run MPC alright, though VLC still doesn’t show any ingame menu. I’ll survive.

Not working. Maybe I should move this to the support section?

VLC shows a black window on the desktop and plays fine in the Rift. But even after clicking the window, borders or inside, still no way to get the ingame menu to come up.

I have the Xbox 360 pad plugged in. Could that be the problem?

Mmmmhhh… I can’t seem to access the ingame menu when simply playing a video with VLC. I just launch the movie, which starts in the Rift alright in the livingroom setting, but then I can’t get the menu to come up, no matter how many times I push the “delete” button.

    *sigh*

No, wasn’t it at all. Shame really, because the images do look crisp.

    Ok, stop, nevermind!!!

I only had to toy with the effects tab in VLC’s Tools. My bad!

Hi Ralf, and thanks for your great work.

I have a quick (and probably stupid) question: How do I watch SBS or OU 3D movies with Vorpx? Whether I use VLC or MPC, I actually get the double image on the virtual living room’s screen, not a 3D one.

What am I doing wrong/not doing? I must admit I have no idea how to setup either of those softs for 3D.

As for games, I’ll have to try and experiment with as many titles as I can. Only tried Skyrim and it was horrible. Probably not your fault :)
