RJK_ParticipantAdd a resolution that our monitor can display on your graphics driver panel example 2560×1440, as higher as better (see vorpX config App help page). For cinema mode a widescreen res. will make sense. Then choose this resolution in game. If you have trouble reaching the games menu, use windowed mode if the game supports it or switch your monitor to that resolution, then start game in full screen mode.
RJK_ParticipantPlease dont be confused with (steamVR) supersampling and resolution. I would recommend using the highest possible custom resoultion that you can set up without making the game studder. You perhaps have also artifacts of a partly wrong working profile too. To make shure youre playing 2D , switch 3D to OFF on the main settings page of the vorpx menu. This may alrady solves the problem.
RJK_ParticipantThe new image sharpening method pays out on this game also with an unbeleiviable clearness and details of image.
Another hint for Screenshots or bringing your character slightly more into the center of the action while using FUll VR (see image 2) is to use the sperical camera angle setting. This though will result in an also moved crosshair so be aware.
RJK_ParticipantJust a few days ago i was trying to fix the game without success. I am afraid you can play it in 2D only with vorpX.
BTW: You dont really need AA with VorpX when choosing a high custom resolution.
RJK_ParticipantLittle update on this app (Now working on Win10)
V 1.3.1
– Some small fixes
– Hotkey “ESC” kills game
– Hotkey “1” resets resolution to default
– Installer for dlls beeing not properly registered
RJK_ParticipantAdditional Hints:
I recomend using this https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/other/gui/stylish-gui MOD (Enhanced version).
– Drop the files of the MOD into your (clean) override folder
– ENABLE HD Text and visual HD Effects for larger Text
– Use 1920×1080 resolution or slightly higherIts incredible how the new sharpening method even let you play a game on that resolution.
20000 thumbs up to Ralf again
for that great invention.
RJK_ParticipantThanks ! Found a good hint on that here https://sites.google.com/site/bethesdasfallout3/ini-tweaks
RJK_ParticipantJust a quick note on the UGRIDS setting. The game crashed when saving with uGridsToLoad=7 and loading a savegame after resetting uGridsToLoad to 5. A value of 6 seems to work though.
RJK_ParticipantHavent had one crash since i installed the multicore fix above. Now with Ralfs incredible new sharpening you can spot distant details you never belived they were there. ( both sliders all the way up to max ). Uhh year good Idea with the UGRIDS setting looks awsome. Here now 65/82 smoothly with 3840×2880 and maximum texture pack on my GTX1080ti.
RJK_ParticipantStrange you havent found anything through the forum search.
perhaps this may help you http://rjkole.com/gamestuff/engines/
RJK_ParticipantVery well done Ralf !
To me the new filter makes distant objects more detailed and a little less sharp on close objects compared to the old one, but the overall view is definately better to many degrees. Way less artifacts compared to the old filter. Hair also looks more detailed now. (Fallout 4)
Then i freaked out on Fallout 3. Using a good texture pack and the new sharpening feature insanely boosts the image quality to an never before known state. Perhaps the new filter has even more impact on older games then expected.
Interesting detail about my Vive Pro. VorpX now seems to almost wipe out the screendoor effect. At least i had that impression on Fallout 3, i was trying so hard to find my pixels , but i just couldn find any. The image was “too clear” for it :-)
RJK_ParticipantAdditional hints if you want to use this https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12056 maximum texture pack and run in crashes.
This https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21888/ Multicore fix seems to make the game more stable. I tested this with resolutions at 3840×2880 and it seems to work.
I recommend changing your ini files manually in order to keep your FOV settings, just add the additional lines mentioned in the 4gB fix. Good luck.
RJK_ParticipantThis is only with the fellout mod.
I forgot to mention that fellout requires fellout brighter nights or something similar to restore light settings at night. (fellout only makes the night pitch black).Att German users: in the meantime i created a Speechmod that replaces the german wierd thinny male raider voices of the game with ones more aggressive.
RJK_ParticipantCorrection: not 3600×3700, i meant 3600×2700. Though in the meantime i still encountered crashes. It looks like going down to 3200xx makes the game more stable.
