If i may throw in a thought about “Donations”.
On my webpage, i have many visitors every day. I couldnt really say i am unimportant for many people using the VorpX Gamelist, the Game Engine Comparison or looking for informations for one of another of my 630 vorpx profiles. I regularily get emails with questions about the above and suggestions for new games to fix. In the past say 5 years ive got altogether maybe 5 donations from Vorpx Users, even my website has a nice “Donate” button. I spoke to other “devs” and they experience just the same. Not that i do not appreciate the 5 or 10 Euro from a user and would never complain. Its just the truth that 99,9 % of the people will never donate thinking everything in the web must be free. And i do understand that very well too, its just not possible to donate for every software one downloads from the web. Youlld probably become poor doing so.
For a professional like Ralf it wouldnt be good advise to “hope for some money” on patreon or whereever. Doing so could turn out quite embarassing too like for example only 7 users decide to support VorpX at the end this way even Vorpx has thousands of users. You never know! Just some thoughts …

If i may give a little hint concerning monitor resolutions. Its always a good idea to use high quality DVI cables (double shielded etc). I experienced not beeing able to use maximum resolutions of my monitor until i finally spent some money on a good cable. I can go way higher now than before surprisingly. 4400 and beyond on a 2011 ASUS VG278H. Hope this is not disturbing this thread ..

As long the profile is not visible, you may use an alternate download from this page

    Quick Hint

The game is using ALT a lot, make shure you have ALT override in the vorpx menu disabled (will follow in the next profile update).

Another very useful thing : 3rd Person view !

    use this patch .

You are crazy ! (meant the nice way ;-)))

Playing Old/new 32/64 DX9/11 will still be a ballance act resolution wise i guess, but exceeding monitor res. is definately a huge step ahaed !

you know i got ideas sometimes ;-) How about changing res. on the fly ? I guess that wouldnt be too easy because you in most cases dont where the game stores its res. settings. Oh wait, dont games read res. into Memory ? Keyword: “intercepting res. values” ? … Or is that even covered already ?

The headset desktop res on the virtual monitor can be set independently from your physical monitor’s res to anything the virtual monitor supports, making it unnecesary to switch the desktop resolution before launching certain games in the first place.

SUPERB ! I wonder if the follwing case can be handled that way:
On my 1080ti together with my monitor i can use a maximum res of 4400 something in resolution asuming the monitor is the reason i cant gat higher. Would i then be able to run a game in 7680 x 4320 for example (max 1080ti res) ? Oh boy couldnt wait to test that on Fallout 3 :-)))))

Anyone tired of tediously adding custom resolutions?

Not at all Ralf.I add them once to the OS and thats it. Perhaps adapting the idea of “gamestarter” would be an idea. With just one mouseclick you switch res. and start the game with the desired resolution at the same time. The included “setres” is even (IIRC) free for commercial use. No need to switch the monitors res. manually.

A little start helper for games
