SpynalTomParticipant
I agree with Wildan, you probably just have Virtual Cinema mode on. It should be all around you not just in a screen in front of you. Virtual Cinema is great for some situations, like 3rd person games. I promise once you get something working like it’s supposed to you will understand. Skyrim, Fallouts, BioShocks, RE7, and even Half Lifes are game you will probably never play flat again once you see it in it’s full glory.
SpynalTomParticipantI guess I’ve been lucky. No crashes, flickering, or blue/black screens. It is really solid for me and I’ve played for hours. I do run my VorpX in Administrator mode also but I launch the game standard.
SpynalTomParticipantDreadhalls was a good native one that used keyboard and mouse. I’m not sure if it requires touch now but it used to be mouse/keyboard. Alien Isolation was also really great but the VorpX profile takes some tweaking to get it looking good. If you are looking just to jump scare your friends and laugh at them “Emily Wants to Play” has keyboard/mouse support.
SpynalTomParticipantJust to be clear I am running the GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX on a PC with 32GB of RAM using the Oculus Rift. I can still provide my setting if you want but the only things I changed form the VoprX SE default were that I took separation up to 110 and took brightness down to 60-65. I like my dungeons dark. :)
Only running a few MODS on SE for now:
Hide UI
Unread Books Glow
Realistic Lighting Overhaul
Enhanced Blood Textures
A Quality World MapSpynalTomParticipantThanks Ralf.
SpynalTomParticipantTry starting Vorpx as an administrator. That works for me.
SpynalTomParticipantJust want to add my “yes please” to this. ESO was one of my favorite Vorpx games before the update that broke G3D. Would love to get this back.
SpynalTomParticipantWorks great! Thank you very much for adding that feature. I also really like the sound effect when it enables. That was a nice touch.
SpynalTomParticipantThank you for taking the time to get this working. It works very well. I really like it. My only wish would be that after battle, when it zooms back in, that you wouldn’t need to re-enable the freecam by holding the right mouse again. Thanks again :D
SpynalTomParticipantI also just wanted to add a quick tip that works for me. If you are having trouble seeing the icons for ship locations, scans, etc. move your head forward about 3-4 inches and then reset your view with ALT-SPACE. When you move your head back to the normal position you will see the icons correctly.
SpynalTomParticipantThank you Ralf!!!
SpynalTomParticipantUnderstood, thanks for the response.
