Played about 8 hours so far and YES this works perfectly. Thank you so much Pieter, I don’t know how you did it but it’s fantastic!
Wow the settings are really decent, thanks a bunch Peter, you’ve done a great job. This game went from crap to ok with one profile. Its not perfect of course but its playable. Have you gotten the music to work or the game pad? My music/sounds seem to cut out when I have VorpX running. The game pad also doesn’t respond the same way as the First one.
Mine doesn’t quit or end. I played solid for about an hour and it wasn’t a problem. I have a bit of a high end system though so that could be a factor.
Thanks, I just re-installed and turned off AVG.
well maybe you could give me some pointers because I’ve already paid full price for this game. How the heck do you trade??!?!?!?!
Hey man thanks for this. BIG HUGE fan of the WC series (more specifically Privateer). Played the heck out of that game as a kid. Freespace was also pretty excellent. Hope we can see some more stuff like Xwing Alliance or whatever. I don’t get the G3D effect on XWA. Its there for a few minutes but when you goto combat it disappears.
Hey thanks a bunch for the continued efforts guys. I’m making alot of noise on the forum and of course non-vr fanboys are getting pretty annoyed so this means alot to me. These devs dropped the ball considering they had made a near perfect VR game with subnautica number 1.Oct 17, 2019 at 4:42am in reply to: Just got VorpX and 3d working with PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator)!! #188547
Ok guys, how does this compare to the PPSSPP VR?
I tried getting it to work tonight and to me it just looks like a big flat pancake?! There isn’t any stereoscopic 3D that I can see.
However in PPSSPP VR, its 3-D and virtual in some games. I’ve tested an absolute ton of games and about 30 to 40% run really well… surprisingly some of the ANIME games work the best because the backgrounds are all done up in 3D and the character just look like well little cardboard cut outs…but who cares. Anyway I’m wondering if I just have my settings done up wrong on the PCSX or what?!?Oct 13, 2019 at 8:37pm in reply to: Subnautica: Below Zero? Anyone got it working yet? #188477
It works for the first subnautica but some genius in the dev team opted out of making VR for the second iteration.Oct 13, 2019 at 8:35pm in reply to: Just got VorpX and 3d working with PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator)!! #188475
Wow great work. I’m so excited to get this going. Any possibility of posting a list of working games? I can’t recall if BUST-A-GROOVE was ps2 or ps1.
Not only is this game ‘Not that good’, its f-ing terrible. I dunno how the devs could have screwed up a winning formula so bad. X1,2,3 and 4 are all decent… this one is just difficult for no reason in particular. IMO it feels similar to Wing Commander Privateer 2, but WWWAAAAAYY more difficult. It took me a couple hours of searching to find out that you need to contract out someone to move your goods and get a trade agent on a station… who the heck thought that would be a good idea?!?!
I bought Elite Dangerous recently and I have to say, its 1000x better than Rebirth and I’m a huge X fan. In my twenties I clocked 100’s of hours into X and X2. I just wish they added some story or purpose to ED instead of just flying around making money. There is PVP so that’s cool but otherwise there isn’t much to do. I really enjoyed the story behind X even if it kind of fell apart in 3. Anyway Ralf, I really hope you can add VorpX to some other space trading games if possible. Star Control Origins or well anything else on steam?Oct 6, 2019 at 8:39pm in reply to: Subnautica: Below Zero? Anyone got it working yet? #188297
It doesn’t, its just pancake 360… what a disappointment. The first one works REALLY well with the vr settings but the second… I don’t know what they did but it doesn’t work the same.
So just finished trying it, and….. it sucks. Its 360 but not Stereoscopic and doesn’t seem to be much you can do about it.
Ummm yeah that would be pretty helpful, I had no idea what you were talking about until this morning when I found the ‘cloud profiles’. That seems like something pretty important the dev has overlooked. It should kind of be a front page thing.
Also a personal question for Ralf, how exactly did you learn to code for VR?
Also is there any manual for the C API. I’m doing a coding course at a local University and would love to hear some applications.
