What resolution and FOV are you using in the game settings?

With 3850×2160 FOV=120 the image is crushed into a square and warping whenever I move my head

The fix for steam continually updating broke DX12 oculus support?

It’s frustrating that valve keeps tweaking steamvr overlay – like who cares?

Fwiw it’s outdoor locations (such as the hidden city) where the draw distance is far away, like the mountains, that DX12 really helped with framerate in SOTTR.

But I understand your decision – it’s the only one that makes sense whilst games can only run under their official profile.

Ha Ha – Shadow of the Tomb Raider in DX12! Thanks Ralph 😁. Amazing support VorpX has – it’s really appreciated.

I can’t test it until sometime next week when I have access to my PC (hopefully).

Will definitely be re-playing if the framerate and judders are smoothed out.. VorpX is the best place for native 3D apps for sure..

…Gotta say I’m occupied with Control in VorpX at the moment though 😉

    Thanks Ralph!

Your work is really appreciated :-). So nice to get regular updates. I can’t think of any other software so well supported.

I will look forward to the next update!

control DX11 even in Z3D would be amazing. Are there any plans to make a profile for this?

I notice that Assassin creed odyssey is g3d on the unofficial list. I thought it was z3d only like origins?

If it is g3d may be worth a purchase

Holy Shit! I just tried ME:Andromeda with the 1st person mod… is it just me or is the “VR scale” on this better than a native VR title?!

I’m not kidding… I wonder if the modder has stumbled onto something here..

I remember being on the Discord server when this mod was developed.. He moved the camera inside the character’s head and then made it transparent. A side-effect is that the camera bobs and sways in the same way the character animations did. I’m hoping he disables that when he releases the new version.

Maybe something about the way Frostbite calculates fov along with VorpX fov calcs when set to 4:3 aspect… but seriously.. I’m floored.

The modder is a perfectionist – he’s serious about making ME:A a playable fps (hence why he’s taken the original down)

He keeps saying he’s on the verge of releasing the new version, but the modding tool itself is giving him problems.

….can’t wait till it comes out. This could be one to watch for VorpX if it works out

I have been using VorpX without any issues for at least 1 year. GPU boost was never a problem before

GPU boost will automatically boost to an overclock – are you saying to downclock the card?

I have tested with Furmark and Kombuster. Kombuster in particular alternates between hitting max boost due to voltage limit and no load conditions and does not find any artifacts and the driver does not crash – Load is at 100% with the same boost clock as Vorpx achieves.

However driver crash with Vorpx at around 90% load with Mass Effect Andromeda.

I will downclock to play.. but I used to play Mass Effect Andromeda in Vorpx using G3D before the Vorpx update and there was no problem..

PS the driver crash (which freezes the computer) happens reliably when switching from G3d to Z3d in game. Sometimes, it just crashes after a certain amount of time (unpredicatable)

Windows 10 1809 Nvidia driver 430.86 (latest) also happened with previous driver 425.31
