RalfKeymasterIf you happen to use the Microsoft GamePass version, you might be out of luck. Some GamePass games, especially MS first party titles, are compiled Windows Store apps instead of ‘normal’ Win32 programs. Windows Store apps typically run in a sandbox and thus are protected against hooking into them.
The Steam version is a normal Win32 program and can be hooked.
RalfKeymasterPlease don’t create multiple threads about the same issue. Thanks. Your other post has been removed to avoid forum clutter.
Renaming/deleting vpxGTAV.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\Plugins disables the connection mod.
RalfKeymasterNothing that I haven’t suggested already. There really is nothing to suggest here other than resetting everything to default and following the recommendations/instructions in one my earlier replies to the word.
Both games have been used during development of the feature, so I’m more than 100% sure that with everything set to default it works as intended.
RalfKeymasterThe only thing I can suggest is checking whether the GOG version also uses prey.exe as name for the main game .exe, sometimes other editions may use different .exe names. Also please try to reset the profile to default, just in case.
If none of that helps, there is a remote chance that the profile doesn’t work for the GOG version. Fairly unlikely, but not entirely impossible. The profile was done with the Steam release.
RalfKeymasterThanks for the feedback. Didn’t check San Andreas but had some hope the issue would be the same as with Vice City.
RalfKeymasterAll good. I believe you that you experienced what you described. like said above I’ll check whether I can replicate your issue somehow.
Thing is the game works perfectly fine under normal circumstances. It’s actually among the 100 best vorpX experiences you can get. I’d say what primarily adds a “whole other depth” to the game is vorpX bringing a flat game like Bioshock Infinite into your VR headset with the best possible DirectVR support imaginable, even including basic roomscale in this case. :)
But, again, of course I will check whether I can replicate your reflection issue.
RalfKeymasterPlease send an e-mail to support at vorpx com. this can not be resolved on the forum.
RalfKeymasterOdd. Never heard of that before. Will check whether I can reproduce this here, would certainly not be intentional. Incidentally I played through the start again not too long ago since my savegame was gone for some reason. Donˋt recall anything unusual. BTW: Not really sure whether I would consider a single effect in a five minutes intro sequence a “whole other depth” for a twenty hour game… :)
RalfKeymasterPlease reset everything to default and follow the recommendations/instructions above to the word. There isn’t anything else I can recommend here. Both games have been used for developing the feature and no one else besides you has reported this issue so far within the two months that the feature exists.
There also is no reason why it would work in immersive mode, but not in FullVR mode. That doesn’t have any effect on how the feature works.
RalfKeymasterUnder normal circumstances it does, FullVR is where it makes most sense. Please make sure to follow everything mentioned in my post above. Especially the part about the 4:3 resolution.
In general please always check any messages vorpX may display in the top/left corner of the game windows and/or in the headset. Saves a lot of unnecessary trial and error.
RalfKeymasterIf you played the games before with vorpX, please reset the profiles to default once to ensure the according settings are available. Also make sure to set a 4:3 res as suggested in the top/left corner of the game window. Last but not least, do not download any older user settings from before the feature was available.
RalfKeymasterWhere did you encounter missing reflections in Bioshock Infinite? E.g. the water reflections in the start area are perfectly fine. If memory serves right the very first profile version from 2013 used a color sampling trick instead of the original reflections, but that has been changed years ago.

RalfKeymasterYou have to restart BF2 after switching from Z3D to G3D. There should be a hint suggesting that directly below the 3D option in the vorpX menu. Also please try to reset all graphics settings to default, just in case some settings affects G3D.
RalfKeymasterNot a good idea to use vorpX with pre-release Windows versions. Quite likely that you will encounter performance issues.
RalfKeymasterYou should be able to switch to third person mode as normal, either with the select button on your gamepad or the V key on your keyboard.
The controls differ slightly from the usual first person shooter gamepad controls, instead of strafing you can turn with the left stick, enabling you to move with just the left stick. Will take a short a while to get used to, but afterwards feels actually more natural in VR.
Didn’t encounter anything unusual with VR controllers, but will check whether I can replicate your Knuckles issue.
