RalfKeymasterQuest:
- Download and install the Meta Quest (Oculus) PC-App from the link below.
- Make sure Oculus is selected in the vorpX config app as your headset type.
- If you want to use the wired Link, connect the Quest via USB
- Launch the Meta Quest Link PC App.
- Launch Quest Link (wired) or AirLink (Wi-Fi) in your Quest.
Afterwards your Quest is connected to the Quest Link app and vorpX can send images to it via the Meta Quest PC runtime.
Caveat: AirLink only works well with fast Wifi 5/6 and your PC connected to the routher via an Ethernet cable. If you are unsure about that, use wired Link via USB.

Cinema mode:
Whether games are shown in cinema or vr mode depends on the game and whether there is a profile for it. If there isn’t an official profile for a game, maybe there is a user profile in the cloud. You can browse user profiles in the config app on the Cloud Profiles page.
You can also create your own profiles for games that don’t have one. More details on that in the vorpX help (‘User Profiles’ and ‘1-2-3 Game Setup’ pages).
RalfKeymasterSounds as if the game switches back to a lower res, which would be super weird. Never heard of anything like that before. Try to add a custom res in the nVidia control panel and then switch your desktop res to that res before launching the game. Some games limit their resolution to the current desktop res. A step-by-step guide for adding custom resolutins can be found in the vorpX help.
Running a game windowed may also help (again provided it doesn’t limit its window size to the desktop res).
If you want to use the full potential of your new Pimax headset you must run games at resolutions at or above 4K, i.e. 2160p or more. Roughly 3000p is what your Pimax Super wants as an input res with default SteamVR settings. Might be too much performance wise in modern games though.
If things still look pixelated when running a game at such high resolutions, there has to be something weird going on after vorpX sends the image to SteamVR, e.g. in the Pimax app or on the headset itself.
RalfKeymasterI didn’t receive a rejection notice after the last mail two days ago, so I’d assume it went through this time. Please double check your spam folder.
That aside: yes, an alternative mail address would probably help.
RalfKeymasterYou can temporarily change the file extension of [CP2077]\bin\x64\plugins\vpx2077.asi from .asi to e.g. .asi_off if you want to switch to flat without uninstalling the mod.
Just in case: the easiest way to locate the install folder is:
Steam: right click the game’s name, select “Properties”, then “Installed Files > Browse”
GOG Galaxy: right click the game, hover over “Manage Installation”, select “Show Folder”
RalfKeymasterAssuming it’s a gaming laptop with a dedicated GPU you may have to make sure that the desktop is running on the dedicated GPU. The most reliable way to do that is probably disabling the integrated GPU entirely in the BIOS if possible.
RalfKeymasterPlease make sure to reset any SteamVR settings to default, same with the Pimax software. In the last “low resolution” post here in the end it turned out that the OP wasn’t able to go beyond 3000p. Even if you want to call that an issue, it’s probably a lot more than you are running your desktop with. So there has to be something else going on with your setup. vorpX captures the desktop at the res it is running at, same for games.
Aside from resetting everything to default: In case Pimax in the meantime has developed an OpenXR driver that doesn’t just use SteamVR’s OpenXR wrapper, switching to OpenXR instead of SteamVR in the vorpX config app might also be worth a shot.
RalfKeymasterYou can’t find any mail because the last half dozen mails or so sent to you were rejected by iinet.net.au.
I just tried again. If it still doesn’t work, please either contact iinet.net.au about the issue or provide an alternative mail address.

A new update is available. Download link as always in the first post of this thread.
- Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework updated for CP2077 2.3.
RalfKeymasterI uploaded an updated profile without the debug stuff. Should fix itself next time you launch the game. Let me know if not.
RalfKeymasterPlease contact your e-mail provider (iinet.net.au). They seem to block mails from us recently.

RalfKeymasterJust to clarify: giving away stuff for free and actually, truly asking for voluntary support on Patreon is perfectly fine, of course. But enough of that.
As said above, I’ll do a few more tests and see whether I can replicate your issue. So far I couldn’t. Don’t expect that to happen tomorrow, 5500p gaming at this point still makes you a member of a fairly exclusive club. But if I can replicate your issue in further tests, it will of course be addressed.

RalfKeymasterAll the cringeworthy emotional manipulation that tends to come with Patreon etc. campaigns aside, Patreon is just the wrong tool for software. How do you provide updates in a sensible manner for example?
Who knows, maybe at some point in the future I’ll eat my words. But here and now that’s my stance on the matter. The whole ‘support me, I’m such a nice guy’ framing while actually selling something most of the time sounds like bullshit to me. Always has. Want to support a software developer? Buy their app. Feel like 8 years of free stuff is an insanely long time (which it is for sure)? Buy another license.
Patreon is the right thing for podcasters, content creators, basically anyone even remotely resembling an artist of some kind. But for software with its natural need for at least a certain period of fixes and updates? Just doesn’t feel right at all to me.

RalfKeymasterLike I said: I’ll take another look at this on occasion. How downsampling a higher res doesn’t improve quality for you compared to a lower res is somewhat beyond me though. Just makes it more likely that vorpX doesn’t get the desired res in the first place. But, again, I’ll take another look.
On a sidenote:
I’ll probably regret saying that, but this whole thing somewhat reminds me of me being an absolute sucker for super high quality antialising in the 3D gaming early days, which of course is highly desirable. The funny twist here being that while actually focusing on games instead doing pixel peeping, I more than once played happily for hours before I even noticed AA was turned off completely. :)

RalfKeymasterI’ll take another look at this on occasion.
BTW: Even if for whatever reason your headset target “only” is 3072p, rendering the game at soemtihng higher than that would still give you better image quality since vorpX would take the higher res input and downsample it to the headset target res. Provided vorpX actually gets 5500p in the first place that is.
RalfKeymasterNo comment policy regarding any development related questions since ages for reasons. Won’t change, even knowing for sure that you definitely aren’t one the reasons. Sorry.
