RalfKeymasterThere seems indeed to be an issue with the Origin version in this case unfortunately.
The Steam version however works fine with vorpX running as admin which is required since Steam launches the game with admin rights.
RalfKeymasterProvided I understood your issue correctly the answer to both questions is yes.
In Direct VR games the vorpX head tracking is completely independent from the mouse after running the scan.
With mouse based tracking you can invert the tracking in the vorpX menu to counteract your inverted mouse.
RalfKeymasterShouldn’t be an issue normally. It may take a little bit longer after a certain amount of activations though if the auto processing decides that a request should be looked into manually.
RalfKeymasterNothing to announce in this regard yet, but the Windows Mixed Reality headsets will of course be looked into. Since none is available here yet, I just can’t make any predictions at this point.
RalfKeymasterIn Fallout 4 and Skyrim that shouldn’t happen after running the Direct VR scan normally. With Direct VR enabled, vorpX directly manipulates the game camera.
For other games with mouse based head tracking there is an option to invert the tracking on the head tracking page of the vorpX ingame menu.

RalfKeymasterYou can either exit vorpX, pause the watcher or add the apps in question to the exclude list in the vorpX config app.
Since Windows 8 a lot more apps trigger vorpX than before due to the way the graphics system works in Win8+, in some cases that can cause the cursor glitch you saw. Adding these apps to the exclude list prevents that.
I would generally suggest to pause or exit vorpX though unless you intend to use it.
RalfKeymasterDid you create an account? The cloud account is not connected to the forum account here, you need to create a new cloud account in the config app.
The default profiles are already active without you having to do anything BTW., so cloud access isn’t strictly necessary.
RalfKeymasterYou should have received your key by now. Let me know if it still did not reach you.
RalfKeymasterThe request code in your request is the same as the one from your original key request, so normally your old key should still work.
I’ll resend your old key in case you don’t have it anymore.
If it does not work anymore, please check whether there maybe is a different code displayed in your license dialog and send that code.
RalfKeymasterYour key has been sent to your G-Mail address (bra…@gmail.com). I will resend it to both your addresses. Let me know if it still does not reach you.
Make sure to check your spam folder. Just in case.
RalfKeymasterThe “Stereo Type” option switches between mono/stereo mode. You find it either directly above or below the “Content Type” option that you tried before.
“Content Type” is for switching between regular movies and (spherical) VR-videos.
“Stereo Type” is for switching between mono and 3d movies.Aug 18, 2017 at 5:59pm in reply to: Is there support for Origin + (Origin Access) + GOG + Uplay + etc? #166395
RalfKeymasterHow that works varies from game to game. For most modern games settings are stored at a specific place, but there are also cases where extracting (or at least guessing) the actual config path is quite a bit harder. For some games with a known risk of vorpX not being able to find a path there is a fallback. You will be prompted to browse to the config folder if that happens.
BTW: the settings optimizer system is getting a major overhaul right now: the extra interface in the config app will be gone in the next vorpX version and everything will happen fully automatically when you start a game the first time. Besides being even easier most importantly this allows field of view settings applied by the settings optimizer to be as pitch perfect as the FOV in Direct VR games.
RalfKeymasterThe current vorpX version does not work with the Oculus runtime 0.8 anymore. It does work with current Oculus headsets and headsets that support the Steam VR runtime.
If your headset requires an older beta Oculus runtime, I could provide you with an older vorpX version after purchase. You should keep in mind though that such an older version does not have all features of the current vorpX version. Most importantly the relatively new Direct VR feature is absent from older versions that simplifies the setup for many games.
RalfKeymasterAt first sight both look well suited for VR indeed, thanks for the heads up. As always I can’t make any promises though.
Aug 17, 2017 at 5:00pm in reply to: Is there support for Origin + (Origin Access) + GOG + Uplay + etc? #166370
RalfKeymasterWhile not all games are tested on all platforms, usually all platforms work. If you buy a current Ubisoft title on Steam, you still need UPlay, so in most cases there is no difference anyway. Games are usually bought directly for their actual platforms here to avoid the somewhat unnecessary extra-dependancy on Steam in these cases: EA games for Origin, Ubisoft games for Uplay.
The GOG situation is a bit different. If you are considering to buy a title on either Steam or GOG, Steam would be the safe bet in regard to vorpX. GOG games come without DRM, which means the versions sold there are often different from the ones sold on Steam. However, so far the only occurences I’m aware of where that mattered for vorpX were some older id Software titles that required different Direct VR profiles for GOG and Steam.
