Geometry does not work but you can get 3D working in BF3….a little trick that worked for me was to switch from Rift mode to side by side mode then back to Rift mode in your pop up settings menu. Not sure why thats needed but it works for me. Not the best 3D but good enough.

I was getting flickering pretty bad with some games with geo on…I have a 5870 card. Try your game in windowed or fullscreen windowed if its an option. Borderlands 2 flickered real bad until I used fullscreen windowed.

keegi…try to adjust your Geometry mode …it’s definitely the best of the three. Eye Separation should be 1.0 or more all other settings on that page should be 0.00. On the following page of settings I adjusted the vignette. Geometry looks good in the cockpit and very good outside. You are doing something wrong if your wings look glued to the windscreen.

keegi…you do not need fsxrift with Vorpx. As far as I know only vireio makes use of it and maybe tridef. Just use mouselook with Vorpx for headtracking. Read my previous posts to get it working. I would also remove anything you did with vireio out of your FSX directory.

It is a little tricky …Hit Alt … then with the alt key remove the FSX menu bar from the top of the screen by holding alt to remove it. Map shift+O to a controller if shift+O does not work. When you map Shift+O to the controller the slider for shift+O in the FSX control settings needs to be slid all the way to the right. Press and hold that button until it triggers mouselook. It seems to work better after the first success. Hope that helps.

You’re welcome….I’m seeing with third person games FOV is very important…Headtracking is very comfortable for me at a FOV of 120…you can pan around Alice very well. I own Psychonauts also ..going to see what can be done with that game next. I remember that game looking good on my 3D projector.

Happy with Vorpx…steam Portal 2 crashes also. After about two minutes. Borderlands 2 on steam seems to work fine.

Head tracking works in windowed mode…still no luck in fullscreen. Its excellent that eyeview and zoom work with head tracking. Still tweaking..Looks very good so far…FSX was the main reason for buying Vorpx.

FSX looks very good with geometry on and AA shut off..slideshow with AA. I’ve been using FSX with tridef and IZ3D…and when it comes to a 3D cockpit only IZ3D was able to do it well..but the tradeoff was …outside the cockpit was flat. The 3D outside the cockpit looks very good with Vorpx. Framerates are good with geometry and AA off. I am having the same issue like others with head tracking though…sure I will figure it out.
