willypatParticipant
FYI it works now …looks good. To change to a much better FOV use the cheat engine and apply FOV fix. You can find the cheat engine downloads on the PC Gaming Wiki under Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
willypatParticipanthaints…I’m playing in Full 3D mode with a 1070 card and it runs well. In the game settings I upped the vertical FOV to 75. Horizontal is fine.
willypatParticipantThe 3D is almost perfect with this game. I turned shadows off in the Vorpx menu and upped the FOV and its a very pretty game with Vorpx. Like the story line so far..parents just got killed..Taking my sword practice very seriously now. Devs plan to have their game open to modding…looking forward to whats coming. Good job Ralf.
willypatParticipantLooks like thats it. Turned off crystal image and no problems so far… turned it back on and problem came back ..textures now disappear and flicker ..may have to readjust fov. Will test some more when I have time. Thanks Ralf
willypatParticipantHappy but not happy someone has the same issue I have….. since the update fallout 4 will play nice for about 10-20 min. then the steam vr home screen starts bleeding in and out of gameplay …then screen goes black and no way to get it back until restart of steam. Been troubleshooting for days on this and looking for anyone with the same problem. Thought I wasnt moving enough and the vive was being put to sleep …not it and it will not happen outside vorpx use. Ralf any ideas??
willypatParticipantPerfect example of someone who should never have bought a DK2. How many out there think the thing is plug and play?…Vorpx works very well for Skyrim. Edge Peek is essential with this game. You have to put a little time in for it to work well. Like Ralf said 120 fov. Others tweeks are important also. Research what others have done. My hydra works perfectly for controls. I can never go back to xbox controller. Would even go back to keyboard and mouse over xbox controller. Before ranting at least show you put some time into setting up things properly. Vorpx menu is easily readable in game..never heard that issue before. Clicking on the menu without firing your gun until empty is a problem ..my bad for not changing to a knife.
willypatParticipantI second that for Metro Last Light…stealth games are extremely enjoyable in VR. Metro Last Light is one of the best. Thanks Ralf.
willypatParticipantIt seems with Prepar3D if you have a developers license you get access to the source code which should be almost identical to FSX code. The people who got Prepar3D working with the DK2 do not work for Lockheed Martin(Prepar3D). Getting into the code seems to be the only way…Thanks for the effort though Ralf
willypatParticipant“Sorry has Ralf released any kind of info regarding the games included in the next release? I haven’t seen anything.” …yes he has with regards to FSX…in the Oculus forums..he said he had FSX working but still had some testing to do.
willypatParticipantI was able to get Vorpx to start by unplugging my main monitor from the computer. I was able to get the mouse working by pressing shift spacebar. I got into the cockpit but it was a slideshow and could see mesh on the terrain. Unplayable. Tried z adaptive and very little difference. Maybe someone else will have better luck.
willypatParticipantIt is only game I cant get running with vorpx…. Ralf.. if you could please look at this one …It was running good on the DK1 …3D could have been better in cockpit. Many simmers will buy Vorpx just for FSX. It was the reason for me buying vorpx months ago. Now you got me hooked on Skyrim…see what you did!!
willypatParticipantOnly been inside buildings in Dishonored ..it does look good after messing with settings for a while… cant remember what I messed with besides FOV adjustment . I remember that was off by alot.
willypatParticipantWas just about to suggest that about the profile. Beat me to it. The Windows Key + shift key + right or left arrow keys will move your open windows from screen to screen….alt + tab will cycle through your windows.
willypatParticipantJust tried it in multiplayer and it works…use flawless widescreen to adjust FOV. Like I said it has good 3D ..The Rifts resolution prevents me from playing multiplayer. Try using Z adaptive in the settings
willypatParticipantTry Z buffer and switch sbs to rift mode while bf3 is running in windowed mode. I get pretty good 3D that way. This is only for single player campaign..did not try in multiplayer.
