jknickParticipantCool.
But, to be very clear it’s not simply G3D that isn’t working, it’s any 3D at all. I realize this is all beta and a work in progress, of course, and can wait patiently, but all indications are that Bioshock Infinite for Windows 8.1 64bit is broken. I think this should be clearly stated somewhere on this site.

chtitbout75ParticipantI’d also point out that other games that worked previously on the same machine with Windows 7 32bit, such as Fallout, are still working fine on Windows 8.1 64bit. So it’s apparently something specific to Bioshock Infinite.
Fallout works for me too. There are 3D geometry mode have any problem.
The problem is games that have only z-normal and z-adaptive modes. I can not get a picture stereoscopic 3D only flat 2D.
I tried a dozen games, but nothing…Apr 7, 2014 at 2:54am #13611In reply to: Bioshock Infinite No 3D

jknickParticipantAlso for the record, I’m running the Steam version of Bioshock Inifinite. I still haven’t found a solution to this issue and have pretty much exhausted ideas.

chtitbout75ParticipantHello!
I bought a license vorpx yesterday and tested some games.
Only games with 3D geometry mode work properly.
Games with mode z-buffer or z-adaptive have no stereoscopic effect.
I tested Bioshock Infinite which is compatible but I have the same problem.
Yet when I watch the video I have a stereoscopic 3D effect : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQaFOihWFgoWhat is the problem? I am disappointed to have purchased your software if I can not enjoy it!

moosewhiteParticipantI use keyboard and mouse. I’ve moved the snap view key to one of my side mouse buttons. Getting the right mouse/rift/game sensitivity settings doesnt take me very long at all, and fov 100-110 seems to work great for everything. So far with vorpx I’ve played f1 2012(logitech d-force pro), far cry 3, bioshock, bio infinite, fallout 3, bf4, ghosts, flight sim x(logitech x3d), and dead space 3. They all work fantastic. I havent configured vorpx for bf4 where i can fly the helicopters very well, but right now fallout 3 is pretty hard to tear myself away from. I haven’t played single player video games in YEARS and now i can’t seem stop. I just dont prefer to use gamepads. On some of the simpler unity demos I do use it, but for anything FPS it feels more natural for me to just use m-kboard.

RalfKeymasterThanks for the compliment, much appreciated. :)
Your Geforce 330m is most likely just slightly too old for vorpX + Bioshock Infinite unfortunately, so I don’t think there is much you can do besides upgrading.
This message appears when a graphics card/driver does not support the full DX11 feature set that is required by vorpX for running DX11 games. This may even happen when a game runs fine without vorpX in some cases.

hal9001ParticipantAnyone have luck getting this to look right? The fov 30 stated above still looks totally wrong and the settings are pretty cryptic and just aren’t getting this game looking right.

froggystyle66ParticipantAfter 3 weeks of messing with settings on the steam version, and wasting extra $25 buying the game again on amazon only to find that it too requires steam, I can also confirm that the cracked version works flawlessly. whatever the problem is, it absolutely has to do with steam.

TankshellParticipantI’ve been getting a few crashes in BI now as well. It is seemingly at random intervals though. I played through the entire opening sequence and it worked fine. Then I got the section just before you start the first fight sequence and it crashed…

RalfKeymasterI’m not too surprised about that, this is pretty much the same with the general Steam issue, that also happens on seemingly random machines (with seemingly random games). What surprises me more is that it happens thirty seconds into the game. But who knows what Steam does…
Be it as it may, there is a good chance that the coming update will solve this, provided it is indeed related to the general Steam problem.
Oct 28, 2013 at 1:01pm #11349In reply to: Bioshock Infinite
DrBeefParticipantI have also had success with the cracked version of BI (no guilt as I own the full version through Steam).
It is strange how, if this is a DRM issue, it affects some people and not others. However this certainly seems to be the best explanation as it is now working on my machine without fault, whereas before it would crash after 30 seconds every single time.
Oct 28, 2013 at 12:37pm #11348In reply to: Bioshock Infinite
golem09ParticipantI can confirm that it works with a crack. Didn’t work before, had the same 30second crash as anyone else. Because of missing HDD space, I can’t properly install the game in steam anymore. But now that it’s apparently a DRM problem, can anyone try this game in steam offline mode? Maybe that works.
