AerowynXParticipantplay some directVR supported games.. games like Bioshock, Dishonored 1, Stanely parable after you do the scan do feel very close to native VR games

BuckleBeanParticipantI’m seeing similar issues with Dishonored. You can always turn DirectVR off and manually tweak FOV etc…, then try running the scan from a different in-game location after some progression. I’ve found the scan has real trouble in certain parts of the game/maps/locations. I had this exact same problem in the same in-game location with vireio when they implemented scanning of memory addresses well over a year ago. May have been 2 years at this point. Wow, time flies.

KarlorParticipantI’m using an
oldancient version but here’s the top choice cuts in my book:
1) Skyrim (completely modable, highly tunable, 95% perfect)
2) Bioshock Infinite (outstanding visuals, great gameplay and story)
3) Fallout New Vegas (like Skyrim highly modable and tunable)
4) Grand Theft Auto 5 (highly tunable/modable, great visuals and gameplay)
5) Dishonored (Great visuals, ganmeplay and story, DLC is fantastic)honorable mentions are:
Alien Isolation
Dying LightMar 17, 2017 at 7:27am #127036In reply to: Thanks Ralph for your update
rtoastParticipantI played through both DLC’s for the first Dishonored with VorpX in preparation for the sequel. It was incredible in VR

CheekyfellaParticipantI had the same issue with Dishonored and downloaded the cloud profile to get Direct VR to work. However after I died Direct VR stopped working and I had to revert to standard head tracking.

AerowynXParticipantI tried the scan like 50 times now restarting the game a dozen times the scan always fails.. luckily this one works damn well with default profile but just curious if anyone knows why the scan doesn’t work

RalfKeymasterThanks. Dishonored only ATM, but I will look into Dishonored 2 shortly. It’s using a custom graphics engine, so I can’t make any predictions though. Keep your fingers crossed.

BuckleBeanParticipantThanks Ralf. The good news is Dishonored worked like a dream before Direct VR anyway. I noticed some other reports about this around the web, but it’s just anecdotal at this point. FWIW, I had similar issues with Vireio’s memory scan related to Dishonored. I don’t know if your methods are similar, but that could point to something on my end for sure.
In terms of the mouse issue, Portal 2 works just fine without Direct VR. I just need that fine mouse control. For Dear Esther, I may try standing & using the controllers.
Thanks again for the reply.

nieda113ParticipantI really wonder about ur initial post reshade and voprx.. This does not work for sure. reshade 2.0 or 3.0 thats the one u need to get the 3d depht map unnimg. And reshade 2.00 3.0 is not compatible with oculus cv1 sdk. See reshade threads.
BTW i tested the 3d depth map since the very beginning and its by far not comparable with vorpx d3d . Its has a decent 3d feeling though. (Evil within, dishonored2, mafia3 dying light)Feb 20, 2017 at 3:11am #126199In reply to: Mass Effect 3 – Getting hit
dborosevParticipantJust a heads up that this exact same thing is happening in Dishonored now too.
ie. when you use a power such as dark vision.Jan 14, 2017 at 2:09am #124841In reply to: vorpX 17.1.3 Available Now
MarcoParticipantSomeone here mentioned rocket league. I follow some guys instructions on reddit a while ago and it’s been great so far. I just took a look again though and notice it seems to be running at 45 fps no matter the resolution I set it too. Tried to disable ASW didn’t help. Runs better if I set SteamVR mode in vorpx, so weird.
I think it might have to do with the fact that I cannot disable the “mirror to window” anymore. It seems to make the title choppy.
I’ve noticed the same thing with few games (VIVE). Bioshock: Infinite, everything works great but i am not sure if i can get 90 FPS anymore, and my guess is that often i am playing with 45 no matter what i set in the options. I can’t really tell because it’s nice and smooth anyway but i remember the difference was obvious when doing a comparison. I also notice a drop in performances with Dishonored, which i also thoght was related to the forced mirrored image.
