    Fallout 3 – Game of the Year edition. Can you please add support to that, it keeps crashing on me while in DK2. Thanks!

    I remember I used to get crashing on that game often too without vorpx. It was on an AMD CPU with AMD GPU. I now have intel i5 and nvidia GPU and I tried it with vorpx and it works fine for me. If you are overclocking anything turn off all overclocking and try that first, otherise the game just might be favoring either intel cpu or nvidia gpu. I don’t think there’s much ralph can do because I can play it without issues and the 3D is sxcellent btw.

    Everything is working except that he needs to get VorpX to support native DK2 resolution over extended to DK2 and not primary. Head tracking is working as well, it breaks sometimes yes, like in Fallout 3 I can’t understand either head tracking breaks or the game freezes… but yeah DK2 is new and first steps are being made. Its all messy and cheesy but thats what alphas usually are either its a VR device or a driver.

    Please see if you can work on VorpX so that it supports DK2 natural resolution while in extended mode and NOT primary monitor.

    Fallout 3 – Game of the Year Edition – keeps crashing as soon as I get into game. Got myself passed cutscenes in normal mode but its crashing the game itself. Laters.

    Fallout 3 crashes as soon as main video ends when baby starts crying… that’s the furthest I got so far. At this point VorpX is quite useless. Hopefully you can get it to better support good games and soon.

    thanks. Another problem – got the Foallout 3 to work on extended, but 1920×1080 crashes, I tried one down – 1680×945 and it worked. Fallout 3 doesn’t have the weird scale issue, Skyrim does. I wonder why… I’ll try to disable profile. Hmm, for some reason VorpX Config now crashes too.. the heck is going on tonight.. lol :).

    disabled Nvidia 3D, didnt help. Also tried to run Fallout 3 and if I pick “Show only on Rift DK2” I get error – Failed to initialize renderer. Unknown error creating the Gamebrio Renderer. It works fine if I do on main screen or even on all screens (Clone) but it wont show in DK2 then.

    Do I need to run DK2 as primary monitor? Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to run Skyrim with DK2. I have everything else setup, can run demos for DK2 no problem. But can’t get games to run under VorpX. I’ll also gonna be trying Fallout 3 if I can get Skyrim to run.

    Fallout 3 worked almost right out of the box, but not new vegas. Annoying.

    Agreed — that config worked for me for Fallout 3, but not for New Vegas.

    ok i just got it working again with this:

    samsung as main display
    fallout launcher set to second GTX670 (still iAdapter=1)
    vorpx set to ‘show only on Rift’ (was ‘show only on Samsung’ before)

    so basically the same thing that worked before except i changed the monitor vorpx should use.

    actually, disabling flash didnt work. I had to actually go into task manager and stop Vorpx Control for Firefox/IE to work.

    I just restarted Vorpx Control and now fallout is complaining about the resolution, so im guessing it rechecked which screen is main/secondary. Ill let you know once i get it working again, lol.

    ok so i went through all the settings and it appears to be working now…
    I’m using a Samsung monitor and the Rift. Here are the things i tried (might help in improving vorpx handling in the future?):

    Rift as main display
    Fallout launcher set to second GTX670 (meaning 2nd display, same as iAdapter=1)
    Vorpx set to ‘show only on Rift’
    game displays on Samsung Monitor, vorpx menu appears in game, head tracking works (just displaying on wrong screen)

    samsung as main display
    fallout launcher set to second display
    vorpx set to ‘show only on Rift’
    game displays on Rift, no vorpx menu, no head tracking

    Samsung as main display
    Fallout launcher set to second display
    vorpx set to ‘show only on Samsung’
    game displays on Rift, everything works…

    So it looks like Win8 or 8.1 is reporting primary and second display differently and Vorpx is using the wrong one?

    Side note: once i got everything working Firefox and IE start crashing on open. I think its a problem with Flash player, I even put in exceptions for the flash plugin exes. The only thing that seems to work is completely disabling the plugin in the browser.

    yea, sorry guys.. i swear i had it working, but I’m trying to run Fallout NV today and its giving me the same error (resolution not supported).

    Its like windows switches to cloning the displays instead of keeping them separate. Not sure why…

    Issue confirmed. For Fallout 3 I found that changing the line iAdatper=0 in FalloutPrefs.ini to iAdapter=1 fixes the problem, for Fallout NV this doesn’t seem to help.

    The above presumes that the DK2 is set as secondary display.
