It seems like every time I want to try a game out with VorpX I run into a problem whereby it’s not supported. Out of the about 20 or so games I have tried, the only exception is Rocket League. Is this lack of support due to the developer being unable to keep up with the changing dynamics of games, an inability to write the software, or are games actively changing/using rendering procedures that are extremely difficult to analyze? I really like the idea of VorpX, but it’s killing me, man… :(
yeah mouse works but i still can’t move my head around in rocket league full vr mode, i used to be able to that, but now i have to keep my head very still while i play or else it just causes headache cause it won’t move the view when i move my head
any suggestions? i really don’t have a clue what i’m doing wrong. I tried both inputmapper and ds4windows (for connecting my ps4 controller to my pc) but no difference
Last week for some reason head tracking wouldn’t work with any game, but then today i tried portal 2 and it was working fine, but the right stick (of the ps4 controller connected using ds4windows) wouldn’t move the camera..i had to physically turn around. Although using the mouse to move the camera worked
then i tried rocket league with the same controller but this time head tracking was again not working, even though it was enabled…help?
Hello, I’m new to the forum, I love to play Rocket League with VorpX and was wondering if Direct VR works with Rocket League and if so how to configure it? Head tracking / Camera movement would be fantastic too!
Any help is appreciated, keep up the good work!
Cheers, Martin.
Hi Ralph,
After downloading your latest patch, I’m having trouble getting vorpX to hook into Rocket League. Any ideas as to an Error 3023? Tried everything in your read first, restarting everything, reinstalling everything, rerunning setups, etc… Any thoughts as to opt-in on updates?
Thanks,
Charlie
Hey Delirifter,
I’ve tried… Doom, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Space Engineers, and PUBG.
Each of these games were super zoomed in. I tried a lot of the troubleshooting like manually setting FOV, adjusting settings within the vorpx controls, adjusting resolution, disabling head tracking, etc. Nothing worked.
One game worked out of all of the games I tried which was Rocket League, but that was because vorpx defaulted to the Virtual Cinema 3d. I could do this for all of the other games, but it slightly defeats the purpose because head tracking and other components are disabled.
Finally got it working, not sure what finally fixed it, i can’t seem to replicate the problem.
What i tried was:
– FEAR fix for HID devices by placing a dinput8.dll in the fear directory because its own implementation keeps polling allot of HID devices and can cause major slowdowns.
– NVIDIA control panel frames ahead to 2 instead of 1 for VR and back again.
– NVIDIA control panel vsync to application controlled or to force off.
Seems to work now although i do still have to turn down allot of settings even in FEAR for some reason to stay around the 90 fps mark. And also in Rocket League.
Its weird because:
– FEAR (without vorpx) 250+ fps
– FEAR (with VorpX, 3D recreation OFF) 70-90 fps
It seems VorpX has a massive performance cost even when its not really doing anything (because 3D recreation is off). Do you think this performance drop is to be expected withoutout ANY 3D recreation? Seems very odd to me. I am curious to hear your thoughts :D But i am glad i can play again and enjoy!
1.rocket league
2. Doom 2016
3. Outlast 1
4. Outlast 2 (not real geometry unfortunately)
5. Alien isolation, until that mod came out which is way better.
Would love to know if these games run in geometry mode:
1.Dining light
2.dead space 1-3
3.mass effect andromeda
4. The evilness within 2
5. Players unknown battleground
Is there a way to increase the cinema screen size? I don’t see any option for it when I press delete.
I just tried Rocket League with VorpX and WOW! I am amazed at how good this game looks in full geometric 3D! VorpX already more than paid for itself for my New Vegas run (120+ hours and counting) and Rocket League is icing on the cake!
I’m using the settings I found here
Rocket League Vorpx Instructions (with great 3D quality!)

before, 1920×1080 on cinema mode was flickering but I set it to a lower resolution and could use geometry 3d in cinema mode and it was amazing. Really made a difference to this game, my Vive and my afternoon.
I’m still shit but for the first time I scored 3 goals in the same match. On purpose!
thanks for releasing this, it fixes the issue with Dishonoured getting the Access is Denied error but Rocket League says it cannot load with error 15
easy to temporarily turn off real time scanning in windows defender though and that fixes any games that do not load with vorpx watching.
Is Rocket League really capped at 45 frames per second? Can it be uncapped to 90 if we have the hardware to do that?
I am so sorry I said bad things.. I totally retract them all!
I don’t know what I was expecting but fully native VR wasn’t what I got, it was passable but, the desktop cinema? OMG that is amazing.
to see a game in 3D like that blew me away. Playing rocket league was simply amazing. So much cool.
I tried so many games to see if they work in that mode and I love that I don’t have to sacrifice resolution to get the 3d on desktop cinema. It’s like a really well done 3D movie (which I control)
I ended up playing Enslaved for 8 stages , you know, just testing. It wasn’t as 3D as rocket league but it was such a good ride
Ryse was another good game to play like that.
and seeing how high a mountain is in Skyrim was jaw dropping.
a big thanks to you developer for providing this software, I am only sorry that I didn’t discover all the options before I commented on my purchase.
Really happy with the update
Just wondering Is it possible to uncap fps in any way? I get 90fps in Rocket League but I use the psvr and I usually play on the lowest settings it would be nice to hit 120 but vorpx always caps fps no matter what settings I do.
If there’s a way lemme know it’d be nice to have 120fps
Thank you for adding an official rocket league profile, it’s freaking awesome. The only thing I am stuggling with now is I cannot disable ASW on this rift while using it, so it is locked to 45fps. It seems like it’s locked at 45 but not smoothing this frames, hard to explain.
I used the Oculus debug tool to try to manually turn it off but it has no effect. Usually I could obtain 90 fps without issues before. Other than that, this is very cool! Thank you.
