I am thinking to buy Tamriel Unlimited if it works fine with DK2.
I read that is compatible with vorpx in dx9.
Anybody is playing it here in this way?
What do you think? Looks it fine? Seems native as HL2?
I will buy it if it works as good as skyrim and is reasonabily fast and candy eye….
Ralf, feel free to delete this as it’s not contributing anything and I have no questions. I just wanted to thank you for adding support for The Elder Scrolls Online (been jonesing since I got my DK2, Tridef having already abandoned their Rift support — and who wants to go back to the DK1?) and just for making such an awesome piece of software. Cheers. :}
The latest vorpX version has Geometry 3D for Elder Scrolls Online. Has to be played in DX9, but that can be done through a single click in the Game Optimizer.
Elder Scrolls Online works with Oculus Rift DK2, but not geometry.
You need to set the game to use DirectX 9.
From what I heard here, somewhere else in the forum, geometry for EoS is in the works for Vorpx.
I’ve played all the Elder Scrolls games since Daggerfall. For me, the single player storyline of EoS was worth bying the game for (leveling veteran levels were a pain, but I do think they have fixed that). A lot of lore and places that you get to explore with a great voice cast supporting it.
Some of the bad reviews came from the bugs experienced in the launch (and about 6 months afterwards). But MMO’s are like that from my experience due to the complex nature of the games.
I stopped playing after reaching veteran level 12 since I didn’t want to raid, but started again casually when it became ‘FTP’ (it’s not 100% FTP, since you need to buy the game). I have a veteran level 13 character.
That being said. I recommend that you watch a let’s play from the game and take it from there. I can also recommend these videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/ElloaWendy
Elder Scrolls Online says its supported. I don’t have it so I haven’t tried it but I’m thinking about it. I think a lot of the negativity around it was probably more or less just the internet doing what the internet does best. Anyway might be pretty cool in 3d and on the rift.
@ stereoviewer
Elder Scrolls Online works with vorpx.
I play it since half an year with vorpx. You have only change the settings in your usersettings.cfg from dx11 to dx9.
You can find the file in your Folder user\documents\elder scrolls online\

I wish Elder Scrolls Online would work.
Here is 10 minutes of video playing ElderScrollsOnline using Vorpx to play.
Hi stereoviewer,
Unfortunately all three games you mention do not have a profile yet. PS2 and Hawken are running in ‘unsupported’ mode, which usually means they have image doubling, head tracking and most other VR related vorpX functions enabled, but no 3D. So what you describe sounds normal.
A list with games that have Stereo 3D with vorpX can be found here: https://www.vorpx.com/supported-games/
Hawken uses the Unreal Engine IIRC, so you might get it working with full 3D by making a copy of the main game .exe and renaming it to UDK.exe. This *may* work, but probably with more graphical glitches than usual due to missing game specific optimizations.
ESO supposedly works (in unsupported mode) when you force it to use the DX9 renderer which can be achieved by editing an .ini, wasn’t tested here though.
1. Open C:Users[Your Name]DocumentsElder Scrolls OnlineliveeuUserSettings.txt with a text editor
2. change the graphics driver line to: SET GraphicsDriver.7 “D3D9″
I don’t get 3d with Vorpx + DK2 with any of the games I’ve tried so far: Hawken, Planetside 2 or Elder scrolls online. In ESO, in fact nothing at all happens when I press Del and I got VorpX started. In PS2 and Hawken, the Vorpx menu shows up. I can change values, but all return to previous conditions once I press Save&ok or reload. Also, the Vorpx cursor stays the same, disabling me from using the ingame cursor. Also, I can’t change 3D reconstruction to geometry 3d or z-adaptive. The displays are setup the way they should, with Oculus Rift as the primary display in extended mode, and VorpX set to “use system settings”. Any tips?
Hi
Had the same problem with “vorpX Error: The selected rendering API is not supported.”. After changing DX11 to DX9 in the usr.conf in my document directory (user\documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Esolive) it works under vorpx with no problems. I can´t change the render at the main page, but all other stuff runs without any problem. I thin the 3D is fantastic.

Any chance of supporting ESO? I really hope it can be included, since I love the game, and an Elder Scrolls game with real people around and DK2 sense of immersion has to be incredible, the closest thing to being alive in a living fantasy world.
