    try to create a custom.cfg file in \half-life 2\hl2\cfg\ i dont remember the exact location.

    you can try to tweak fov_viewmodel if for some reason directVR dont fully work for you, when i played black mesa months ago, except for flickering weapons, i didnt have giants hands/weapons.

    Yep. Basically DirectVR is already cache. I re-ran it just to be sure and it gives the same result. Note, everything else works fine just the hands give the impression that everything is zoomed in… When looking at someone play Half-Life 2 using Vorpx you can see the hands in HL2 are extended to be much longer so the gun isnt in your face. I just want to know if this is just something you have to put up with or is there a fix.

    This game is a total conversion of Oblivion. Since it uses the same executable as Oblivion, you should be able to play it with the official Oblivion profile with DirectVR and everything. This is an alternate profile (for Oblivion as well).

    I recommend using my gamelauncher: see

    vorpX 20.3.1 has been released.

    vorpX 20.3.1 is a small maintenance release mainly addressing a few bugs that have been discovered since the last release. Also two new profiles have been added.

    Changed/Fixed

    • Fixed a start problem with Star Wars: Battlefront 1 (and potentially other games) related to the new headset sync.
    • DX9 64bit games didn’t work under some circumstances.
    • Adding programs to the exclude list in the config app did not work anymore.
    • Installing hook helpers did not work on Windows 7
    • DX12/Oculus warning was not shown for Horizon: Zero Dawn

    New Game Profiles

    • Grounded: G3D/Z3D, FullVR, scalable HUD, DirectVR: tracking, FOV, resolution, tweaks
    • F1 2020: G3D/Z3D, immersive screen mode, scalable HUD, DirectVR: tweaks

    Have to wait for an update to download currently, but checked Fallout 4 which is pretty similar in that regard. All OK there, so for now I would say it *should* work. I’ll let you know if the actual FO76 check says something else later.

    For now the only thing that comes to mind is that maybe you accidentally changed the ‘Override X-Box Gamepad’ setting on the ‘Input’ page of the vorpX menu. Should be ‘Full’ before the DirectVR the scan and ‘Off’ after the scan.

    Edit:

    FO76 also working fine, so the above is more or less the only thing I can think of. Alternatively you could try to reset the profile to default in the config app.

    Proper marketing and visibility and communication is half of the equation IMO.

    Of course it is, and if it’s done by youtubers non afiliated to VorpX, it’s much better.

    Advertising is not gonna make people think VorpX got better, but endorsement from independent people will.

    The more games that have good DirectVR support, the more marketing will come.

    Halo 1+2 will not work since theyre using DX9. The official Halo: The Master Chief Collection may work. If the profile doesnt include the Halo 3 game exe yet, make a copy with DirectVR and Shader Settings and assign it to Halo 3.

    I just replayed Mirror’s Edge algo with VorpX, amazing, you hit DirectVR, and boom, it’s perfect VR !!!!!

    I hope one day we’ll hace a good profile for Catalysy, meanwhile I’ll keep an eye on Stride that should release this summer.

    This game is amazing VR, it’s so diegetic that in VR is a charm, I love the map while running or driving.

    I have tried other Far Cry games with VorpX, but it seems like the weapons are not in scale with the rest of elements, like in L4D2.

    Has anyone got rid of the black bands above and below the image ? I can cope with that, but if someone knows how to remove them better.

    I have also realized that if a load from a “bed save”, DirectVR scans works perfect, but if a load from a “menu save”, it dones’t work. So let’s play on hard mode ;)

    I reinstaled Metro 2033 to try reproduce the problem, and send the savegame, and after reinstall, it worked on the first try the DirectVR Scan.

    Now I’m having the problem with Far Cry 2, I have tryed manu times, with different settings, reverted the profile and game settings to the original again, even reinstalling the game.

    I suspect it’s something in my computer that sometimes avoids VorpX from modifying the memory positions for DirectVR rotation …

    Could you send me a savegame of the original Metro 2033 (via mail to support at vorpx com) from the location where the DirectVR scan failed for you? I’d like to take a look at that and see whether I can replicate the issue here. Would be great, thanks in advance!

    I have the same issue, I wonder what is the “right resolution”

    Anyway, I though DirectVR handled the resolution in this game.

    Metro 2033 Redux is working for me, but there is distorsion whe you turn.
    But the worst is the lower part of the image is something weird like an animated barcode.

    Y went there for Metro 2033, and the image looks perfect, but DirectVR isn’t working, so I can’t look up and down. It says rotation scan OK, but doesn’t work.

    If DirectVR is enabled, I can’t turn with the xbox controller, anyone else having this issue ?

    I can turn with my head, and with the mouse, but not with the right stick. The gamepad emulation is disabled in VorpX settings.

    It’s really sad, because the game works perfect apart from that.
