I understand it needs to be run in DX12. I have double-checked the system.xml file and it’s set to DX12. I also deleted the DirectX cache on every drive.

I uninstalled Gforce Experience and it didn’t make a difference. The only other programs that I have running are steam VR. No chat programs, etc. I deleted the sga_win32_60 files many times now and a few times deleted all the files in that directory.

The only thing I haven’t tried was deleting the whole game and redownloading it. Looks like that may be the next step.

I want to point out that Vorpx has worked in the other games I tried. Cyberpunk and Dark Souls 3 loaded without issue. It’s also worth noting that I think this program is absolutely amazing and already worth the money. I just really wanted to try RDR2.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the Resizable Bar update? I have no idea.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

vorpX 21.1.0 had a bug that could cause similar behavior, but that should be fixed now with the 21.1.1 release from yesterday.

If you still experience this with 21.1.1, try to set the Headset Sync option in the vorpX menu to ‘Safe’, which will cost some FPS, but gives the GPU a bit more leeway. Also FluidSync to ‘On’ is worth a shot, that should be the case for Cyberpunk anyway though.

If none of the above helps, there might be something getting in the way. If you happen to have any GPU/CPU tools installed, try to disable/uninstall them. Such tools tend to also hook into games similar to vorpX, which may cause conflicts. The same is true for some chat apps (Discord, Skype etc.) and generally everything that can show notifications in games.

“I stopped playing because of many crashes, too. I will try i again when patch 1.05 is released for PC. I will try to solve the Problem by trial and error in the game settings, Nvidia drivers and Mainboard Bios settings. With my Hardware Specs (Ryzen 7 + RTX 3080) the most important things are to clean all CP77 related files on the SSD and do a clean boot of Windows and do a fresh install of the game without any manual changes in the settings and let Geforce Experience choose the settings of the game. Mods and extra FOV settings are crashing every 10 Minutes. In 4:3 or 16:10 i have the best results in exclusive Fullscreen and 2880×2160 and 3456×2160 until today. I wish that the patch 1.05 will prevent my crashes. All of my numerous other games working decent !”

Any chance Geforce Experience is causing the problem? I’ve had issues with that in the past and ended up uninstalling it. Also for me personally, all of my crashing issues with Cyberpunk stopped when I started using a borderless window in Cyberpunk. It’s been running smooth like butter ever since.
