Have a PSVR 2. Installed the free mod to see what this is about.
In settings selected SteamVR since PSVR is using SteamVR app.
Launch game. SteamVR never brings up the game. Can see game if going to desktop mode or theater mode.
While game is open no inputs work. No keyboard inputs, no gamepad inputs, no inputs from my PSVR2 controllers.
I have uninstalled the mod, the game, fresh reboot, installed the game, rebooted, installed the free mod, fresh rebooted again and everything in between. The game will never register inputs. My keyboard does work as I can press Windows Key and get the start menu up to do other things. I can also hit the PS home key to bring up steam interface so I know my buttons work but they are not registering with Cyberpunk itself.
I uninstalled the mod and selected default on every setting inside of cyberpunk 2077 before rebooting and reinstalling the mod just to make sure everything is good. Since there is 0 interface with the free mod the only way I can get the VR selector up (Steam / Meta / Other) is to just reinstall the mod again.
I’ve launched Cyberpunk 2077 letting it open Steam VR and I’ve launched Steam VR and then opened Cyberpunk with no luck.
I went on Steam settings and have enabled steam input override for Cyberpunk 2077. I’ve tried it disabled and enabled same issue both ways.
I’m on an i9900k with a 2080ti with the PSVR2 plugged directly into my 2080ti. I haven’t had issues with other actual VR games/programs but I can’t make this work. Nothing seems to do anything. Delete / left button + right button / and L3 or w/e gamepad is nothing brings up any settings like the mod installer says it does.
Any help would be appreciated cause I feel like I’ve exhausted all the troubleshooting steps I’ve seen on this forum at this point.
VorpX looks for the Quest, but I have a Pimax Crystal (OpenXR) and I cannot change it as the config app will not run. I had it running once (through the Cyberpunk standalone app), but after a CTD in Cyberpunk VorpX Config refuses to run. I tried all versions of VorpX; standalone, regular registered version and the beta, properly uninstalling and reinstalling every time. I even paid the $40 for the full version. Please help!
Hi Ralf. Thanks so much for your help. I dont think I have downloaded the update. I have tried everything I have found online and disabled updates etc n steam and via files. See below –
– Install Cyberpunk 2077 and turn of updates.
– Turn on read only in appmanifest_1091500
– Dropped CyberEngineTweaks-1.25.2
– Swapped the bin folder x64
– Turned off overlays
Nothing seems to work now. Earlier everything worked but the veiwport was in a rectangle. Now nothing works at all. I have deleted and uninstalled 10 times but nothing.
Can someone report on the details when the official profile is released, please? I don’t have VorpX yet, and the VR is a must, I have zero interest in purchasing Starfield if I can only play it in pancake mode. So the question of whether VorpX works well with Starfield or not is crucial – I either decide to buy both Starfield and VorpX or none.
– Does it work in full stereoscopic 3D?
– Is it a fully immersive VR (without motion controllers of course)?
– Does the movement work well (VR controllers as gamepad for independent movement, head tracking for aiming)?
– Do motion controller gestures work well? I tried the Cyperpunk 2077 mod with gestures and I liked how they work. It’s not as good as full VR controllers of course, but it’s a reasonable compromise. Would they work the same in Starfield? It would be even better to have independent aiming with motion controller instead of head tracking, but I guess it’s out of the question for now.
– Is the image flickery in any way? I read somewhere that VorpX is actually better than the free Cyberpunk mode in that respect, but I’m not sure.
– Is the performance good with Starfield? I have a top of the line system: 7950X3D CPU + 4090 GPU + Reverb G2, but can it be smooth? Does motion projection work, can I lock it at 45FPS with motion projection to get a smooth experience?
– Does the DLSS mod work with VorpX / VR?
Any other details would also be appreciated. I’m not buying either VorpX or Starfield until I can be reasonably sure they are going to work.
BTW unrelated question: Can a Joystick/HOTAS be modded into Starfield? I built a motion cockpit for flight sims which I’d love to use with Starfield if I can get my custom joysticks to work with it.
so , all games with dx12 api only work with znormal and zadaptive , which are not stereoscopic 3d like g3d. if you are not a virtual reality sommelier, the zadaptive and znormal are still very good and immersive. you aim with headtracking and you can use the motion controllers as if they were a gamepad. if you use the beta version of vorpx gestures will work too. however I use the regular version of vorpx , the beta I uninstalled out of desperation , too many system conflicts and poor game compatibility. in fullvr mode I suggest you to use aspect ratio : stretch . for starfield you also need to set game world fov and viewmodel fov with cheat engine. I leave you the gameplay video with my profile
To do this go to Windows Apps & Features and uninstall voprx Cyberpunk mod.
Start Cyberpunk, set all graphic settings to low and activate DLSS when you have a RTX card.
Then start Vorpx and go to local Profiles and choose the original profile from Ralf first and look how it works for you.
When you Start Cyberpunk press “del” key to enter Voprx Menu and set input from Mouse/KB to Gamepad
Thank you! I uninstalled and reinstalled the game along with the mod just to be sure. Then I used the default VorpX settings for Cyberpunk 2077. It adjusted settings for me and suggested a restart, which I did.
I’m honestly shocked at how smoothly it runs. Amazing job, VorpX team!
One weird thing is that there’s an invisible line running through the middle of the screen, as if there’s a small gap in rendering the scene vertically. Is this a common enough issue for you to know what I’m talking about? Is there a fix?
I really don’t know the problem. Never happens to me.
You could try to solve the problem by changing the 3D reconstruction from z-normal to z-adaptive.
Or set in Direct VR Settings” “Preffered Resolution Quality” from “OK-ish”, “Nice”, “Nicer” “Ultra” etc. (requires game restart)

So I tried the beta and i have exactly the same problems as with the standalone mod from Cyberpunk ,exactly the same as I described above.
Absolutely unplayable, the motion controls work, but I have 1-2 fps evrn in the main menu.
I uninstalled the beta and selected Ralf’s vorpx profile and it runs like before, but unfortunately without motion controls.

I do own a copy of VorpX but attempted to play Cyberpunk 2077 using this mod, since from a web search this seemed like the way VorpX was supporting this particular game.
The mod failed spectacularly, as posted above. The suggested solution was to try standard settings, which I had already done.
If I’m going to try my copy of VorpX instead, where should I look for advice on this? Should I start by uninstalling and reinstalling the game without the mod? I don’t need gestures or anything flashy. I’m happy just using my wired Xbox controller.

I was constantly crashing before even landing on the main menu with either “Cyberpunk has flatlined” errors or Vorpx “DX12” errors. When I finally got those errors fixed, the game was blurry AF and jittery.
Here are some things I did to get it to run / run better on Quest w/Nvidia GPU –
– Make sure you have the latest version of the mod
– Make sure your game is patched
– Update your graphics driver, I got CTD’s until I did this
– Turn off DLSS or you’ll get DX12 errors and CTD before even getting to the menu. If you already installed the mod then uninstall it (temporarily), go to ->windows settings -> add/remove programs -> uninstall the mod. Then load the game (mod free) and turn DLSS off. Reinstall the mod and it should be fine
– In the Vorpx ingame menu (DEL), turning off “3D Reconstruction” made a hugely significant improvement to image quality and jitters
Recently got Cyberpunk and Ive been trying to get both (either) the standalone or the paid app version to work on my WMR/Reverb G2.
Ive been trying checking and unchecking various options in Open XR.
The paid app version sometimes gets the 4 spinning WMR dots at title screen, sometimes i get the small cyberpunk loading icon ( blue CD in pink button ) in a corner of my headset. The the game runs on monitor and i can close it.
Using the free app I get only the icon again with the Vorpx intro screen. I can access the Vorpx menu but everything else is unresponsive in game ( both on monitor – title screen ) and I need to force close.
v1.62 Cyberpunk.
On my very first try i did the paid app and i got in no issue ( no geometry 3D but z-normal was available) . Figure id try free for full geo-3D but since installing ive not been able to get in. Uninstalled the free version and still stuck.
Any suggestions ? Anyone got around similar issues.?
