I just tried the 1.63 version of Cyberpunk 2077 with VorpX Beta and I had no head tracking. Z3D works.

So DirectVR 3D mode is some kind of G3D ? It doesn’t work for me. I only get 3D with Z3D and Z adaptative.

Version alpha 9 is available. This update mainly adds full compatibility with Cyberpunk 2077 1.63, including a fix for the scalable HUD that didn’t work with the original 1.63 mod update. In addition to that a fairly severe issue caused by newer nVidia drivers has been addressed that could lead to automatic game settings changes like resolution and various tweaks not being applied.

I have a huge problem with smoothness of the image. When I move my head around, the image is smooth, but when I turn around using mouse or keyboard, the image flickers / stutters, I don know how to call it. It looks like the image is displaced in two different positions at a same time (I can see it even through one eye). For example, when I move sidewise parallel to the wall, I can see every edge doubled, Like two game frames was displayed at same time. It is a very unpleasant feeling.
The problem is regardless the FPS. I can have stable 90 FPS or cut it to 60, and it doesn’t matter. I have 4090, so it is not related with performance. I have latest Vorpx mod, latest Cyberpunk and nvidia drivers.
I doesn’t have similar issues with any other game with Vorpx.

Use your motion controllers instead, motion controller turning is factored into the frame generation algorithm, mouse input isn’t. That aside motion controller gestures and aiming make the game feel fairly close to playing a native VR title, even seated if you prefer that. It’s an outright ridiculous thought to play any other way.

Ok, you’re right – it works good with controllers. I played most games with mouse / keyboard – less immersive but better controllable.
So another question – it is possible to add turning based on controller / head direction when moving? More like as in VR games. I very fast loose awareness of my body orientation and direction of movement surprises me…

You can turn with the right stick.

I am experiencing a strange bug with the 1.63 hotfix version of the mod. The loot/other markers and yellow arrows over key NPC’s move when my head moves. Usually, they are in a fixed position above or next to the NPC. Now they are a in a general x,y coordinate range on my screen and maintain that general screen position even as I am moving my head away or towards the NPC. This can be seen if you go to outside V’s apartment in the later part of the game when there are always two police officers standing over a perp who is lying on the floor. In the previous version of the mod, the yellow arrows are tethered above the officers’ heads. Now they move about depending on where I’m looking.

I have tried a fresh install of CP2077 (v.1.63 Hotfix) along with the Alpha 9 mod but the problem persists. The CP2077 version and Alpha 9 are matched correctly. Previous versions of the mod have older CET versions which break VR when matched with latest version of CP2077.

Yes, I know, but it would be a great upgrade when you can rotate a character based on controllers orientation. It would replace turning based on stick and it would be possible to play standing and rotate body free. But I don’t know if it is technically possible, it is only my little suggestion :)

But now i have a bigger problem related to VR controllers. When I’m in fist fight mode when I move any of thumbsticks fast (to move a character or rotate), the game interprets it also as hit command. Also when I’m in any game menu, it reads fast thumbstick movement as “A” button, so it selects buttons when I’m moving cursor above them. This bug is both in gamepad and mouse/keyboard mapping mode, but when I’m in mouse / keyboard mode it additionally resets mouse location to center of the screen. I’m using Valve Index controllers. Is it something wrong in my settings or it is a bug?

EDIT: It resets cursor location to the center in both mapping modes but only in equipment menu. And additionally in “controller” mapping, the rectangle cursor changes for a moment to mouse cursor when bug occurs.

    @ mateuszw

That is definitely not supposed to happen. Never heard of anything like that before, so there isn#t really anthing useful I can suggest. I’ll check whether I can replicate the issue with Index controllers.

Sounds as if I might have missed a shader when doing the HUD shader fixes, unfortunately 1.63 broke the prior shader definitions. It would help a lot if you could upload a savegame that exhibits the glitch you encountered. You can send it as an e-mail attachment to support at vorpx com.

Trying Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time.

Fresh install of CP2077, then installed the mod dated July 27, 2023.

    Results:
Cyberpunk only displayed as a screen within the headset, despite being in full VR mode in the VorpX menu that appears with the DEL key.

Found this forum and people claiming that plain text in the launch environment describes installation of CET files. No such text exists anywhere for me. However, I found this:

    https://github.com/maximegmd/CyberEngineTweaks/releases/tag/v1.25.2

I installed it into the correct folder.

    Results:
Cyberpunk plays on the monitor just fine.

In the headset, the left eye shows what’s on the monitor, with no head tracking.
The right eye shows a fixed different perspective.

    What the heck even?

I’m pretty sure I followed what recent posts in this thread call the correct order (fresh install, mod install, CET install) but what I’m getting is pretty far from basic functionality. The front webpage should be up to date on the version and should include instructions regarding CET.

Since it isn’t–what’s going on, and what should I do?

Probaly some graphics setting that is incompatible. Try the medium detail preset and go from there.

I’ve tried Medium and Low default settings, and then lower than Low. Certainly nothing fancy. None of these work.

I get either a picture only (but in an aspect ratio suitable for one VR lens) or gibberish where the two eyes start by not creating proper parallax and then not following the camera the same, neither with head tracking.
