Re2 uses the same re7 engines?
The above profile used in re 2 revive, is re 7 ‘s profile. Somehow it works though I am not sure if the engines are identical
Feb 6, 2019 at 6:31pm #179304gonzaxParticipantNow that we have a first person mod for the game, it would be amazing if someone could make this work in VR.
Feb 7, 2019 at 8:01am #179332haintsParticipantI’d love to see this too.
Feb 7, 2019 at 8:22am #179334marcobParticipantDoes the above vorpx profile work also for the 1st person mod? Did anyone try? ?
May 10, 2019 at 9:15am #183804d0kt0rParticipantHi Ralf,
Haven’t tried all of this myself due to lack of time, but it might be useful.
If You Have an Nvidia Card, You Can Play Resident Evil 2, Battlefield V, etc in Glorious Full 3D!
by inoculusObviously the part of the virtual desktop in Oculus is not relevant for vorpx, but particularly interested on the 3D vision, and the mod/fix to get 3D in SBS (not native but at least is something).

In fact, If I recall correctly from my tests. The 3D in vorpx was fully broken, as you have 2 different things in each lens (like the 3D wasn’t working). So, it might a solution.

Any advance on RE2?
Do you still see it viable?
Thanks a million!!!
Aug 10, 2019 at 5:10pm #186605steph12Participanti’m also hoping for some new profiles soon, specially a plague tale innocence, i’ve been holding to play that game because we were supposed to have a working vorpx profile weeks ago, i hope it comes soon, and yeah resident evil 2 (2019 edition) would be amazing as well :D
Aug 11, 2019 at 5:54pm #186638JariloParticipantI thought It’s DX12 or Vulkan only so it’s a no go for at least a long time no?
Aug 12, 2019 at 11:30am #186667VRified GamesParticipantThere is an option for DX 11 in graphics menu
Aug 21, 2019 at 12:58pm #186900d0kt0rParticipantHi,
Using DX11, and changing in the re2_config.ini to :
UseVendorExtention=DisableYou can use the RE7 profile.
Seems to be somekind of 3D (I’ve checked that on the city behind the Resident Evil title).
At least for me, I think I’ll give a shot the game with that.
Hope it helps,
Aug 22, 2019 at 8:21am #186933dborosevParticipantDoktor, this would be great news if true. You can’t tell if it’s z3d or g3d?
Anyone else confirm this before I purchase this game?Aug 22, 2019 at 4:49pm #186945d0kt0rParticipantIt is not z3d or g3d. Only certain effects have 3D, like the rain or sparks in the air.
Anyway, Im enjoying it. It is better than the normal experience due to inmersion inside the HMD.
Aug 23, 2019 at 12:13pm #186972VRified GamesParticipantI tried with the changing in the re2_config.ini to :
UseVendorExtention=DisableAnd there is a noticable difference
Before, when using the RE7 profile on G3d, some objects only rendered in one eye, and it was completely broken
Now, most objects render in both eyes (not all, but a huge difference)
There is only true 3d on very few things,
Rain, fire Ect. Render in 3d, the rest in 2d
And oddly, the headtracking roll feature rolls in the opposite direction
You roll to the right, and the image rolls to the left, and vice versa
But all in all, an improvement to be sure
Aug 23, 2019 at 1:05pm #186976RalfKeymaster@ Du1g0 : That hint was pure gold! I spent hours with this thing shortly after release without getting anywhere…
Don’t get overly excited yet, but if all goes well I *might* have a working profile later today.
Aug 23, 2019 at 1:12pm #186977VRified GamesParticipantKinda hard to not get excited….this would be awesome.
