benzoylperoxideParticipant
No. Im not overreacting. One of my issues was fixed (there’s more… but I’m trying to play games not beta test). unfortunately I haven’t had time to test every game that I painstakingly set up to see if they still work now.
benzoylperoxideParticipantforced updates suuuuuuuuck! One of the reasons I’ve been recommending this program to people all week long is because I thought that it was one of the good ones. Like Tridef where you buy it once and it’s guaranteed to work the same way…forever.
Now I have to warn people that while Vorpx works good now. that is all subject to unexpectedly change in the future.
benzoylperoxideParticipantSorry my mistake. I think the behavior is the same. I actually forget now, lol. Either way I seem to be back up and running. Sorry for pannicking I’m 30 hours deep in this game. I got paranoid when I saw Vorpx updating. I don’t like when things suddenly change.
benzoylperoxideParticipantThe menu is fixed. Farm Simulator 17 is still broken.
Please rethink the auto-update process. There’s nothing more annoying than being in the middle of playing a game and suddenly the controls get changed.
I need to roll back. The game isn’t playable in the current state.
benzoylperoxideParticipantI think Both problems might be related to the click behavior. The issue in FS17 happens when you’re in shift mode and press LB. if you release the grip before releasing the trigger it will fire off a LT while you’re releasing the trigger.
This causes the cruise control to disable. So you have to carefully release the buttons in the correct order. Didn’t use to be like that.benzoylperoxideParticipantThere’s a new feature (bug?) with the Vive controllers. Menus don’t activate until you press the trigger past the ‘click’ makes the app feel less responsive. Can i disable that? Switch back? I’m very sensitive to the button mapping!
I hate to have to be “That guy”….but the only thing worse than forced updates are forced updates that break a bunch of stuff. I’m getting strange behavior in FS17 Vive controller mapping. Once example setting cruise control no longer works reliably. It’s like it’s triggering a double button press when I release the grip button.
I was all set to play some games and now it doesn’t work. How can I roll back!!!
benzoylperoxideParticipantI play Farm Sim a few hours a day
Rfactor is another daily driver. Cars in that game are such a rush.
3rd would be Last Remnant.
How well does GTA5 work?
benzoylperoxideParticipantWhat is the industry standard 3D that AMD support?
I’ve been using a 1080 for a long time and it works fine for most games
For tradition VR games its always been overkill because most are designed to run on a 970 at 90fps.but Vorpx is pushing it’s limits. Everything is playable but I’m starting to feel it. I think a 2080ti should get the job done.
I should mention that I’m also using a Vive which has a lower native resolution. Higher resolution headsets may require more GPU.
benzoylperoxideParticipanthis website is blocked in my country for who knows what reason, lol. I’ll try to get it later through a proxy.
benzoylperoxideParticipantVive controllers are awesome in Vorpx. One obvious advantage is they are tracked so you can see your hands while playing. And you can see the buttons which is helpful for keyboard mapped games. (Keyboard mapping crashes with this game too).
Plus I just feel more immersed when I can see my hands..
It actually does work in this game if you turn it on after the game is running but as I mentioned crashes the next time you run it.
benzoylperoxideParticipantRJK would love to try a different profile but
your links dont work for me. Do not have permission to access rjkole, com.benzoylperoxideParticipantI’m using Vive controllers. yeah it seems to like defaulting to the Xbox controller. So much that if you change it the program crashes.
benzoylperoxideParticipantThanks that’s a relief! I’m very sensitive to the controller mapping, lol.
I haven’t used the Oculus controllers but seems like it would be awesome if you could map the stick direction to buttons. Sort of like the way it works with the Vive controllers.Might be awesome for certain games where you could use it like dual arcade sticks.
benzoylperoxideParticipantthanks works and looks pretty good. I can see the menu and enable the controllers after the game starts, but if the controllers are enabled the next time I start the game Vorpx crashes and I have to reload a clean profile.
benzoylperoxideParticipantWhat does Steam VR input redone mean? One of the best things about Vorpx is the controller mapping capability, which also happens to be one of the worst things about SteamVR…
