Just wanted to report back – the timing trick works perfectly now.

I agree nothing beats G3D. I’m just saying, I’m more than happy to play it in Z3D, and for certain games, its not as big of a deal. For more close quarters “smaller” area games, absolutely.

    Dellrifter:
Yeah I noticed that too, and disabled the uplay overlay as part of my winning combo. I’ll test it a bit more today to see if I can get it working reliably every time.
When Uplay does the complaining, I hit ok, and that is when I un-pause the vorpX watcher. Worked twice so far. (Haven’t tried it a 3rd time yet).
The ACO.ini hint helped too thanks! Much better with large FOV, and you can zoom the vorpX screen right in close to give that “Full VR” feel.

    Neida:
G3D is nice to have for most games, but in large open world games like this, I find that you don’t really miss it that much. You get a really good sense of 3D because of how large the world is. Some games, I can’t even tell (like GTA5). Plus, with the added performance boost of Z3D, you can crank all the game graphics up to Max. Even with a 1080ti, I don’t think you could do that on G3D.

After a whole lot of testing, I think I’ve come up with the issue. It seems like I have to pause the watcher when running it from Uplay, and then un-pause it right after I start it running. Seems like there is a good old fashioned “race condition” in VorpX. Got it working twice in a row using this method.
Ralf, if you are listening, perhaps this is fixable in VorpX?

But now that I’ve got it working, damn this is a cool game to play in VR.
    Loving it.

Hmm, would you mind sharing some details on how you are running it? It looks like VorpX hooks (it shows the vorpx splash) but then the game crashes on loading it. Tried dozens of times using Uplay, steam, and VorpX shortcut. Disabled Defender as well.
    Or Ralf, if you know?

Damn! Nice work man! Just playing in Cinema mode is going to kick ass! But I’d be curious to hear about the full vr if you find something that works well.
I’ll check it out later! Thanks for replying!

    Cheers!

I literally just came here to ask about progress as its been so long since a release. Glad to hear things are coming up soon. Been dying for some new profiles too, looking forward to the ME:Andromeda profile.

Interesting changes, can’t wait to try them out. Sounds like the field is yours to exploit with Tridef having fallen off the radar seemingly. BTW, tridefVR has a working ME:A profile, but I’ve been waiting on yours rather than getting that. :)

Still loving Cinema Mode too for many games, please keep all those options around! I think you mentioned already that you were in a previous post.

Keep up the good work. VorpX has been a shining light of awesomeness in VR.

Ps: I’ve noticed a lot more cinema mode traction on reddit in the last few months. I think I’m converting a few people. 😉

Sounds good. Yes please, profiles all the way! I was able to get ac:unity working very well after some monkeying around. But ac:syndicate would still be a nice to have for sure.
Also, please don’t take away the manual options and cinema mode with all your automation. ☺️

Tried it with divinity, but there is no 3D effect. (no Z3d or G3d) Unless you are referring to pillars that it should work with?

You’re not a nob, don’t be so hard on yourself.

Just an update Ralf, for your future trouble-shooting needs.
Seems like it only runs for me if I disable defender all together.

Could be a Vive thing by the sounds of it. Used to be able to run it, just not sure whats changed in the last 2 months.

I’ve only gotten it to work once in about 40 tries. And that was after resetting the profile. I tried that again, but never works now.
I wonder what else it could be? Tried disabling oculus home as well (I use revive).
Do you run the game from steam? And get that “this game will be displayed on monitor and may affect performance” message …. when it works.
Then run the game from the DE:MD launcher that comes up?

I can’t even get that far.
I used to be able to run this game no issues a couple of months ago.

btw, forgot to mention, I excluded the steam/Common/deus ex folder in windows defender. Is there any other folders?
