dellrifter22ParticipantYeah EAC blocks injection, making it hard to play newer games since so many use it now. I just learned that following Gears 5, Halo:MCC PC will also use EAC :\
We still have our fingers crossed that vorpX can make the whitelist (as versions of ReShade and other apps have), and are still waiting to hear if progress has been made since Ralf and EAC were last in contact about it.
This is often on my mind, but I haven’t wanted to pressure a response from Ralf before he’s ready. That both parties sounded optimistic at the time still gives me hope :)
Until then, people have resorted to finding cheat trainer software online that bypass EAC for some games. Due to the risks and questionable legality of installing such softwares, Ralf has asked us not to post links or discuss details here.
I did do a bit of creative googling though, and lets just say if you wanted to, you might find a current possibility for Gears 5. At your own risk of course.
Also note that we’ve yet to hear a success story from playing any game through the Windows Store. It seems to have it’s own drm injection prevention. Too bad, since GamePass seems quite the deal.
dellrifter22ParticipantI don’t have access to the beta currently. Will there be an open beta?
It may be worth a shot trying the Wildlands profile for Breakpoint. It might give you some degree of G3D. If not, try the updated Z3D profile (says UPDATED in description).
Go to your vorpX local profiles, create a copy from Wildlands and assign Breakpoint’s exe.
Let me know if either of them work. Thanks.
dellrifter22ParticipantGo figure right? Making it hard to play new games these days.
dellrifter22ParticipantI don’t typically use a gamepad, but I tested GRW just now and you are right, there seems to be a conflict using gamepad + headtracking.
Best I’ve found so far is:
A) Use Partial overide with the stick overides on as you mentioned. I believe you can remap controls according to keyboard bindings, but I haven’t tested the effectiveness of this yet.
Or
B) Turn headtracking sensitivity all the way down to zero. Might feel weird in fullVR, but should allow you to aim with gamepad, without override.
Or
C) Switch to Cinema mode (with 0 sensitivity) without overide. This allows you to at least look around the screen a bit. I’ve re-uploaded the cloud profile with cinema settings that closer resemble fullVR.
I’ll look at it more after work. Glad you are enjoying it otherwise.
dellrifter22ParticipantImportant: after obtaining EAC bypass, don’t forget to set Steam launch option:
-eac_launcher
dellrifter22ParticipantCorrections:
– set FOV to 113 in game’s Advanced Graphics settings
– set Reticle Type to Centered in Gameplay settings (important)*Hide HUD elements in Interface settings
dellrifter22ParticipantThere’s now an experimental G3D profile on the cloud if you’d like to give it a go. Not perfect yet, but still pretty fun. See here.
dellrifter22ParticipantCongrats guys, good work!
Still trying to get some screenshots sorted for you. I’ll try to submit some as I go back through profiles these next few weeks.
Thanks again for the list and checker. Very helpful resource.
dellrifter22ParticipantI’m the wrong person to ask about quest, but I hear it might be possible through virtual desktop. Or at least it used to.
dellrifter22ParticipantThis could be from HUD scaling. To check, open vorpX delete menu in game, then set the HUD scale all the way to 1.0 on the Image Settings page.
dellrifter22ParticipantIf you are still hunting for Z3D, Conan Exiles is one I’ve had most luck with for Unreal4 games.
Others worth trying are Hellblade, Mordhau, and Edith Finch.
dellrifter22ParticipantThanks for the hint. I’ll have to check it out.
dellrifter22ParticipantThis looks like it would be great! Thanks.
One trick I use for viewing broken G3D menus is the vorpX Z3D/G3D switch key.
dellrifter22ParticipantI’ve been hearing good things about this game.
I’m unable to check right now, but there might be a cloud profile for Quantum Break if I’m not mistaken. I would try that then perhaps the Alan Wake profile.
Next I’d try a couple Unreal 4, like Hellblade and Conan, then the Unity5 base before giving up.
Let us know if you have any luck.
dellrifter22ParticipantTime to start checking older profiles then 👍
Are the distance numbers supposed to read the same between headsets now in the menu? Or can a profiles store unique settings dependent upon which headset is active? My first test showed different numbers with different headsets, but they could be grabbing stored values from extra.ini.
How can I tell if I’m seeing the actual number stored in the shared profile or an alternate value I may have saved later for that exe into extra.ini?
Also, this may not be what you meant by:
“G3D camera height modifier was added in flipped direction without positional tracking”
,but height modifier functionality does not yet seem back to normal for cinema/immersive modes. Or it’s not working for me at least. -
