I play F1 2014 regularly on my DK2, which is awesome with the new update, but I’ve found it is easiest for me to not have the lens cups in as I am navigating through the menu, once I get set up and go to track, I’ll put in the lens cups and haven’t had any issues.

The only way I have been able to get head tracking in F1 2012 is if I have both Opentrack running and emulate a gamepad axis. I was just able to get it working in F1 2014 but it caused my system to crash, the only things I had running were Vorpx, F1 2014, and Opentrack.

And yes, it did work in unsupported though it took several times of restarting my computer to get it working, it seems really choosey on when head tracking works. Sometimes it causes the game to pause every few minutes, other times it just crashes, rarely with a bsod. Though I haven’t been able to recreate what causes the crash, it’s completely random.

Sometimes I can play other games and do some video editing, load up F1 2012 and play with head tracking for an hour with no issues. Sometimes it crashes as it loads after a fresh restart.

Though I do look forward to the next update, thanks.

An update, I was just able to get some headtracking in F1 2012, however it was super laggy and only updated once every few seconds. I’ve looked over the previous posts regarding head tracking and nothing seems to fix the lag. When F1 isn’t running, there is no lag with Opentrack. Games like Windlands run with no lag at all. Is there something I am missing that you can think of?

Also, apologies for the double post, I didn’t see an edit feature.

I was actively tinkering and I was able to get brief tracking on Z-Normal, with headtracking on, with Opentrack running, if I turned it off headtracking went away. The gamepad was relative or absolute, don’t remember which and I haven’t noticed a difference between the two. I was still able to look around with the analog stick and I did have head tracking as well, though like I said, it was super laggy.

If you would like screenshots of my settings, I can do that.

I tried that in F1 2012, turning off internal gamepad handling, however that didn’t make any difference. Though I will try Outlast and F1 again after a reboot to see if it works.

One thing I can’t figure out is how to emulate the look functions of the rift, it’s inputs, to be handled by the game. Perhaps a more in depth tutorial, or video if possible, showing how to do that?

I did get some headtracking in Dirt, but it was laggy and needed to be recentered quite frequently, but that was before trying Vorpx, after installing Vorpx I haven’t been able to get any headtracking in the supported games, even with Opentrack.

I apologize if all this is easy stuff, I’m just new to everything and learning as I go. Thanks.

Can anyone help get Vorpx to work with F1 2012.

I’ve followed the configuration with Vorpx for the DK2 and started the game and it did appear to track roll, but the mouse was creeping to the right.

I’ve read other threads about using Opentrack, which I have, and others have said to set it up so the Rift was the input for mouse look, but I’m not sure how to do that and I can’t seem to find anything when I try to search.

Can someone help me get this working?

I have Win 7 64bit, most recent version of Vorpx, and not sure which version of F1.

Instead of opening a new thread, I’ll post here.

I recently bought Vorpx and have been wanting to get F1 2012 set up and nothing seems to be working.

I run Vorpx and then start F1 and I get a dialogue box that has me click okay and the screen is split like it should be, but when I get in the car, the view is all the way to the left, or right, and changing the controller to absolute or relative doesn’t fix anything.

I’ve tried that French link and that didn’t work for me, I don’t have any head tracking, and I’ve read other solutions that say to join the mouse look to the Rift input, but I have no idea how to do that. Can someone point me in the right direction, or help?

I have Win 7, 64 bit. I’ve tried with the Rift as the primary display, or secondary, makes no difference. It is set to portrait and the resolution is 1920×1080 at 75h.

    Thanks
