bob24Participant
until you actually do it you wont see a difference with your system.
if you really want to know why after you can read this it is too technical for me to explain even why but it works.bob24Participantmake sure your resolution is inversed in the file I showed you it should play better.
I use a cv 1 r9 fury and 16gb ddr4 and a 6700k
ResolutionX=960
ResolutionY=1080
or
ResolutionX=1024
ResolutionY=1280bob24ParticipantC:\Users\yourusername\Documents\My Games\BioShock Infinite\XGame\Config
XUserOptions file scroll down
this is minimum requirement for vorpx for 8:9 ratioResolutionX=960
ResolutionY=1080I hope it works and it should.. but 8gb ram for vr is only the minimum requirement for a lot of vr apps so haven’t tried it
bob24Participantdid you go in bioshock ini file to change the resolution to be in what is recommended for vorpx.. that helped the stuttering on my computer a lot.
bob24Participantworks fine for me 1280×1440 with skyrim se direct scan on cv1
bob24ParticipantI’m sure you got some weird configuration with the custom resolution, set to regular lowest resolution and your monitor to regular resolution if don’t work uninstall completely skyrim and redownload unless you know where the ini is and you can replace it. checking integrity of files isn’t enough at your point.
heh glad you got the problem solvedbob24Participantalso try a under load program like aida 64 see if it crashes for maybe 7-10 minutes.
does the game load without vorpx at all?bob24Participantok did you try going trough windows event viewer to see if crash its anything to do with system?
it is also a fairly new system. but when you said crash does it crash the computer or it crashed to desktop.bob24Participantsince you changed to a custom resolution did you try reinstalling NVidia drivers. I have a r9 fury and cv1 and running skyrim se perfectly here with no custom resolution.. well text reading isn’t best but didn’t want to change anything in my amd settings, or maybe you can check windows update to see if it was updated lately while you didn’t know? I would doubt its anything other than that since you were just playing it.
bob24Participantwell I am a new user of vorpx myself and have had a few hours of problems before I could load it properly. first would be to reboot by first doing a msconfig and close all unwanted start up programs and then start vorpx in administrator before loading skyrim.
maybe try to reset the settings in vorpx by load preset for skyrim anyways as well. that worked for me.
I’m not sure if you remove the vorpx program if it keeps some data for next install on your computer.bob24Participantthanks for that!
bob24ParticipantI haven’t tested much on my side since figuring this out but I found some other users saying that it helped lowering the mouse sensitivity.
bob24Participant45 fps is quite good.. when you move your head left and right are you getting some motion blur? fallout new vegas is game I want to try now. I got a r9 fury with 6700k and 16gb ram with ssd
bob24Participantactually did more test looks like its more my mouse problem than the program maybe never noticed it before.
vr did make it look worstbob24Participantis this still an issue?? seems as soon as I use the direct vr option that’s when the studdering issue comes back.. and its only when I move the mouse when I move the head it is smooth.
