with the oculus quest now going to have hand tracking they are updating their menus to be universal in all apps. they found ways to increase the power of the quest to push more and people are using shadow pc to be able to play their vr games.
some people are saying they can also play half life alyx with almost no latency wirelessly that it is amazing
I can now see this stand alone as being the future of vr. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is what Microsoft, hp and valve are working on now.

I never buy a game on release. always wait for a sale. no matter what as there is always a big patch a month after with a sale. I cant wait to play it but I am certain it will be worth the wait.

stereo 3d works rather well if you select the dragon age inquisition profile. I don’t think there is a better way to play this. not really a game id want to have headtracking. supposed to be the rpg of the year.

you shouldn’t have that much stutter with a 3570k do you have 16gb ram?
did you try manually going in the system files and changing the resolution of the game for skyrim to work well with vorpx ?

if you don’t need to upgrade you should wait 5-6 months for the new generation of intel cpu since it is more core it should make the prices of the 7700k go down by quite a bit or the newer 1800x. this generation does make higher memory work better and vr does take a lot of memory and fast memory too.

id be surprised if even some games would use 4 cores still. so having said that, intel coming out with new 8 core processors 16 threads most likely to compete with the prices of amd. I would doubt we’ll see any games that needs this much for a long long time. and by then ddr5 will have come out and youll need to upgrade again for that. more games will most likely come out using more cores, 4 core 8 threads for most applications will still be overkill, if you’re having this thought on saving 100.00 id save up to get more ram at least 32 gb ram wich is not cheap right now.. and a ssd , especially that we’re talking about vr in the first place, wich we are already seeing minimum requirements of unlocked cpus and 16gb ram. I just upgraded from a 4 cores to a 4 core 8 threads and vorpx is about the same.

https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/mirrored-image-on-pc-screen/ from this link it says maybe he’ll bring it at some point to turn it off.. but if its lagging id check something else that could cause the problem borderlands was playing fine when I had my 2500k and ddr3

a quick search I think this is what you’re talking about

    “Ralf

    Keymaster
There is no performance impact of the mirror view unless VSync is active. if it is, vorpX is supposed to show a warning now, but to be extra sure you can manually force it off in your graphics driver control panel. Can’t hurt.”
