ParticipantSame problem here. I must admit i hated Vorpx becasue I could not get a single game to work. Two years after buying it I got Metro to work and since then I have played a few games in VR with Vorpx including Black Mesa. Yesterday it was working perfectly and today it crashes on start up. Ive tried starting from installation folder, Resetting the vorpx profile etc. I just tried Vorx Desktop viewer and that is also crashing. Any ideas?

ParticipantWorks really well for me i9 14900KF 32GB RTX4070 Quest 3. My PC fans really spin up though for the whole time I’m playing. I’m not concerned though. They are doing what they are designed for.

ParticipantRuns well in full VR. Hopefully next time I start it the game wont crash like it does with Prey 2017

ParticipantGood question. Also is it possible to get Prey 2017 to run without blurrinesss? Apart from that it works well. Changing game resolutions does nothing. I’m using the Vorpx profile.

ParticipantI am not using Cinematic but ‘Immersive screen’ mode which works brilliantly. Excellent 3D and depth but its still in a window a bit. Is there a way to increase FOV without it looking zoomed?

ParticipantI’m playing ROTTR now in march 2023 in perfect 3D but I wouldnt call it VR. I had Vorpx for quite some time before I was ever able to finally get a game to work to my satisfaction. That was one of the Metro games (played completely in VR). Because I played the Metro VR game I thought I would try one of the others. I tried another one with no luck but at least I finally got my monies worth. Rise also works well but each time you start the game you need to p*ss f*rt around getting it right again. You would think it would be the same each time. with the screen fully zoomed in (screen distance) you still see it in a window. I can see the grey areas outside the window. Real VR breaker. Can anyone suggest a way to enlarge the screen to get rid of the borders?

ParticipantAs I expected – vorpx has failed yet again. I’m not going to bag it out like I normally do but in this case after reading this forum I had hope that it would finally work but nuh_uh. First launch when it reads “press a key to begin” nothing either on the controls or my PC keyboard I tried to exit the Vorpx messages too but no. I couldnt even alt-tab out finally I had to use task manager. Then I tried starting and it crashed back to steam each time. Quest 3 i9 14900KF, RTX 4070 48 GB RAM 2 TB Samsung nVme drive x 2, Windows 11. Never has a game worked to my satisfaction in vorpx so as a result I have not played even one game through so that will be my last ever try. But I am glad that it works for some people – not dissing the program itself. The developer obviously worked hard and its a good program for some just not for me… Oh well.

ParticipantJust forget it. I gave up after playing with settings adding custom start up shortcuts, dicking around endlessly. Its such a f*cking useless piece of crap software.I’m a computer tech. I have an i9 9900k on 48 GB RAM etc etc and I still get terrible FPS and I havent played even one game OOTB with VORPX that looks good and plays well. Many hours trying to get a game look reasonable Just forget it like I said. I’m going to uninstall and pretend I’ve never heard of it.
