TwinguisticsParticipant
General instructions are listed here.
It can depend on how cooperative your monitor is, but in general you can type in any resolution and click Test to see what passes and what fails. I can usually double my monitors native resolution before it starts having trouble. Anything that passes the test is saved to a list that will show up in your games to select.
Great, thanks! I’ll try that out.
TwinguisticsParticipantI played through half the game tonight, pretty fun.
I put a third profile on the cloud (based on Unity 5) with a few problematic G3D shaders now disabled, the way you intended. For the limited FOV, I found a screen zoom at 0.70 with a slight 0.20 forced fov enhancement was good compromise in my HPG1.
I used a 16:9 aspect ratio (2560×1440) with BEST graphics setting.
I assigned the bright white bloom effect to the G3D Shadow Treatment toggle. So if it bothers you, you can switch it OFF in the vorpX menu.
Hopefully there are no new problems in the last half of the game, I’ll have to check later.
Hey totally forgot to keep checking this topic! Thanks for trying and for the tips above. It’s crazy that I thought mine was 3d but it’s clearly not.
Just tried yours and it’s great. I do have a really noob question though, how do you get the resolution higher than your monitor allows? Thanks!
TwinguisticsParticipantMostly VR games, flat games in Vorpx only, and Magic the Gathering just in pancake. I’m happy to play a flat game, and sometimes play out of vorpx if I’ve only got ten mins or I’m doing inventory management in a game or suchlike. Otherwise it’s HMD all the time but I only have 2 hours a day game time max anyway and mostly much less.
To the poster above, how is Gunfire Reborn? Is it g3d? I’m considering getting it on sale.
I just read this. I can fully recommend Gunfire Reborn.
As a game is incredibly fun and well balanced, it starts with certain limitations and difficulties that depending on your FPS skills you can overcome but at the same time playing well will unlock gradually weapons and abilities for your character that will make the game amazing to play.
Regarding VorpX it looks fantastic in G3D is one of the best looking ones with good depth and very fluid performance to play and enjoy. It really adds another level of visual candy to the player.
so yeah… fully recommended even on full price :)
Ok awesome – sold! Do you play full VR mode or immersive screen? I’m also wondering if you use a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad – I’m not sure I have the skill to use the KB&M while wearing my HMD.
TwinguisticsParticipantHi
What do you mean vr 360 view? Do you mean a full vr mode where you can look around you? You know it won’t add a first person view right?TwinguisticsParticipantOk cool, thanks. I’ve honestly not noticed that increasing 3d strength makes thing appear smaller.
Anyway, great work on this. It’s a game changer and I don’t think I’d even be playing the game without this. With it, I’m addictived to My team! Opening packs in 3d makes my dopamine receptors fizzle nicely lol.

TwinguisticsParticipantThanks for this, it works fantastically well and is one of the most impressive experiences I’ve had with Vorpx.
A question- why did you leave the 3d strength at just 2. I’ve increased to 4 and it pops more and so I’m wondering what I’m missing?
TwinguisticsParticipantReally think the advice regarding EGS games should be more prominent somewhere.
Well its just a general thing to check when running a game from a another store that the .exe is the same name. I don´t have any idea why different stores might use different .exe files since the game is otherwise identical. Demo versions also might have different names than the base game.
That’s my point – how does a new user know that’s it’s a “general thing” to check the exe file and then add it? It’s not in any help text that I’ve seen.
It’s hardly just general knowledge for the general public. Maybe you know to check that but tons of people like me wouldn’t.
TwinguisticsParticipantFrom vorpx configuration
1. Local Profiles (3rd tab on the list)
2. Search for death stranding and select it
3. Create new profile based on this one
4. Add the .exe file either by searching from the the install folder or you can launch the game first and the add the running process. Thanks! I got it working using the above and it now works great. Think I’ll be playing via vorpx for a while now then

TwinguisticsParticipantOk thanks. How on earth do I do that? None of this is explained anywhere.
How do I add the exe to it?
TwinguisticsParticipantI’m using a rift cv1.
I’ve tried with the Oculus headset and also with steam as per the suggestion above.
What’s runtime?
I’ve managed to get Tony Hawk’s Pro skater 1&2 remake working and that doesn’t even have a profile and I’ve run little Nightmares no problem.
I have the Epic game store version if that makes a difference?
TwinguisticsParticipantHi all,
I’m brand new to Vorpx and wanted to try Death Stranding as my first game. Is it broken? It just hangs at attaching and won’t hook into the game.
I’d appreciate any help as I’m really new to this and barely understand how any of it works.
Thanks!
