A few minutes under normal circumstances, the process is automated.

Make sure to enter the same mail address that you used to activate vorpX originally. Otherwise the request will not be processed.

Also check your spam folder, just in case.

It doesn’t. Defender FALSELY classifies the updater as malicious. That’s a rather common issue with AV programs since they largely just guess, but unfortunately most of the time fail to inform users when their assessment is really just a guess.

If you are unsure, you can report false positives to AV vendors for inspection. In case of Microsoft you can do that here.

The overall CPU usage doesn’t say much since most games don’t utilize all cores of a modern CPU. You can setup the task manager to display the per core usage, which is a more useful metric. If you see one core used (almost) fully, all is well.

Apart from that try to disable Vsync and whenever possible remove potential FPS caps. vorpX does that automatically for many supported games, but for unsupported ones you might have to do it manually. Many Unreal Engine games for example cap the frame rate at 60.

Did you read the reply directly above your post?

If that does not help already, you can simply update to the latest vorpX version with your web installer, so vorpX doesn’t launch the updater anymore.

If you didn’t keep the installer, you can get a new one here.

The injector version *might* work, but there is no guarantee. May be worth to try it with both regular and alternative hooking. Possible that one works better with the ENB injector than the other.

Fallout NV is a good way to experience vorpX’s full potential BTW. The profile pretty much has everything vorpX can offer in the best case, even basic roomscale support. Make sure to start with an unmodded game and add mods one by one later. Some mods may break certain DirectVR features.

SLI might or might not work for a particular game, but is generally not supported. If in doubt, turn it off.

You can change the HUD size and depth on the image page of the vorpX menu. Whenever a resizable HUD is available you can also change the horizontal size independently there.

Glad you could solve your issue.

The creator does encourage to disable SLI already in the pinned trouble shooting thread on top of this sub forum (also in the help that comes with vorpX). :)

    SLI/Crossfire

If you have a dual GPU system with SLI/Crossfire, disable this function. It might or might not work, but is currently completely untested and thus not supported.

If the game supports TrackIR, you probably can use OpenTrack instead of vorpX’s built in head tracking.

The HUD in Oblivion can be scaled and moved to the depth you prefer on the image page of the vorpX menu.

IIRC the crosshair can be disabled in the game options, if not there are definitely mods that can do it.

I can’t really give you any other answer than the one above: Origin games work with any headset that vorpX works with. It does not matter whether you use a Rift, Vive, Index, Pimax or whatever other headset vorpX supports.

If you haven’t done so already, please thoroughly check the trouble shooting guide I linked above, especially in regard to programs on your PC that may create a conflict by also hooking into games.

Not sure where you read that, but that is not the case. Origin games work with any headset that works with vorpX.

First please make sure that your antivirus definitions are up-to-date.

If that does not help already, you can simply update to the latest vorpX version with your web installer, so vorpX doesn’t launch the updater anymore.

If you didn’t keep the installer, you can get a new one here.

BTW: If you use a third party AV program, consider getting rid of it. Windows Defender comes free with Windows 10 and is very good these days without being as invasive as some third party AV programs.
