ParticipantHonestly my experience so far with 60hz isn’t good – F1 2020 still feels a bit stuttery in 60hz, the same as in 90hz. I expected other games to be able to run with higher gfx settings on 60hz but performace between 60hz and 90hz seem to be the same in my test – except now having 60fps instead of 90fps.

ParticipantThanks for the 60hz tip, will give that a try tomorrow. I noticed that some games, although showing 90fps, somehow still don’t feel really smooth, like F1 2020 for example, while for example Wreckfest runs/feels really smooth (both in Immersive mode). Never thought of experimenting with the 60hz mode.

ParticipantJust bought this one today. I couldn’t get it working in VR correctly either but in Immersive mode this is so far the best Vorpx experience I got. Sitting in my racing rig with the screen in Immersive mode makes Wreckfest a whole lot better compared to when I played it on my ps4 with a controller :)

ParticipantI turned reprojection off in SteamVR, set graphics to medium and now I got 90/90fps. Awesome!

ParticipantI read your reply late – yes there was something wrong, all my games in vorpx run horrible until I did an uninstall/reinstall of vorpx. Now I get 90/90 with medium graphics :)

ParticipantHi Senoctar, good one, will do that :)

ParticipantHi Ogrescar, it was an issue with Vorpx – after I reinstalled it everything works great :) Think it was because I used Vorpx for my Quest 1 first.

ParticipantI just tried WRC9 which run also terrible before I reinstalled Vorpx, now it runs great in Immersive mode :D Bit confused about the Fluidsync: setting it on gives me 45fps in the game and 90fps in the headset, setting it off 90fps in the game/ 45fps in the headset.
I don’t quite understand the difference.. which one of these is technically the best? Shouldn’t I get 90fps in the game and 90fps in the headset when I set the gfx to low?
(any direction to a guide where these functions are explained would also be very welcome :)Warrie
ParticipantJust a headsup if you upgrade from another headset – I had the Quest 1 first, then got the G2. I was getting terrible results in Vorpx. In RDD2 for example an fps of around 5, on a I9 2080 Super. Factory resetting Vorpx didn’t help.
After uninstalling and reinstalling Vorpx – Everything was perfect immediately. RDD2 looks stunning with the G2 :)Warrie
ParticipantHeadset sync to safe was a major fix! At least it’s very playable and stable fps now. Still have to run with with almost everything set to low.. bloody WMR :-/
Warrie
ParticipantGotcha, I was both using alt-F and fpsvr, mostly fpsvr to see the gpu and cpu usage. Will try thing without fpsvr from now on to be sure that that one is not the cause :)
Warrie
ParticipantYes it sucks that the G2 uses WMR.. games like Dirt Rally 2 and Raceroom also run MUCH better with OpenVR. I could run both games with a stable 72fps (max for Quest 1) with everything set to max, now with my G2 I have to set everything to the lowest.
But Rdd2 also runs painfull bad (like 5 to 15fps with most settings to low) and I read another G2 owner posting here that it runs great for him – so I do think somethings wrong on my end.
The fluctuating fps in F1 2020 is very noticable, it really makes it unplayable.
The GPU is FPSVR is also showing a usage of 98% while I have set everything to low (2080 Super). I’ll keep on messing around to see if I can get it working :)Warrie
ParticipantHi Ralf, I have FluidSync to On. I tried a full factory reset but then I get a ‘1 error has occurer, reset might not be succesfull’ error. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling I get this error. Any idea?
Warrie
ParticipantI9 9900 + 2080 Super here and I also get very poor fps. Around 60 to 90, constantly changing. That is with all details to the lowest, lowest resolution and SteamVR SS set to 50%. On my desktop I get 250fps.
Weird thing is that in Theater or Immersive mode I also have the same fps results.
I’m not sure if this is a F1 2020 issue or something with Vorpx and my G2 – before with my Quest 1 I had great results. Now all games I try have extremely poor fps, also in Theater mode :(Warrie
ParticipantI will give that profile a try :)
