And when running a race i have to desactive vorpx to get VR.
Strange thing but that’s working.
Its not really strange since pCars has rift support, but not in the menus. I have learned to navigate the menus in “2D” mode. At later date when they have time Im sure they convert menus to be rift compatible too.
Hi:) Ralf
Your last driver working fine, and now i get the ingame menu :)
Just a word about Project cars,i know that your driver is not yet coded for this game.So as the Ui of Project cars is unusable cause double screens,i’m using vorpx
to have Ui readable:)at least.
And when running a race i have to desactive vorpx to get VR.
Strange thing but that’s working.
So could you add a function that will be affected to a keyboard button to switch vorpx on/off?it would be very usefull in case like that kind of issue.
I do this request because once vorpx desactivated in game i can’t go back after a race and get again vorpx running to use the Ui of Project cars.
Thanks in advance for answer
I followed each step thoroughly even going through multiple post and threads reading everything on what I could be missing. I just uninstalled 3D vision driver and 3D vision controller driver. I’m also going to try to experiment with the watcher to off. I haven’t tested those 2 yet but I will later on today.
I really want it to work as all I play is planetside 2, FSX, iracing, assesto corsa, LFS, GTR2, for sim.. I have DCS full but haven’t played
I might get project cars and rfactor 2 if vorpx really turns out good with those games I have if I can get it to work
Another (probably slightly better) option is:
You need to download EGO Cam Editor, it will allow you to modify the FOV for the cockpits of all cars for Grid, Dirt 2, Dirt 3.
Google for a download, or get it from here: http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/resources/ego-cam-editor.329/

I have purchased and tried vorpx beta with dirt 2/3 and grid now.
Dirt 2/3 both work great, there are still quite a lot of shadow rendering problems on the cockpit interior, but it works better than Vireio at the moment. World scale and opponent cars feel perfect.
Grid also works, although shadows have same problem on car interiors. The most annoying thing about grid when in geometry mode is the world scale and opponent cars. Opponent cars feel tiny, like toy models, for some reason. And seem to pass through the cockpit when you get close to them, spoils the experience somewhat.
Overall though, glad I picked up the beta.
museumsteve: That’s fine, we know that. But when someone comes and tells you that he is developing a commercial software which would fill a big gap for Oculus users, than the person seemingly evoraporates into thin air, people get pissed off. It would take no more than one minute (!) for Ralf to make a short announcement every week where the development is heading. And unless he is trapped on the top of the Mount Everest without electricity and internet, I don’t see why he is unable to give us SOMETHING. Is this a huge request??? From future customers??? Damn…
I agree it’s frustrating but at the same time there’s something like maybe 10,000 rift’s out there now? and yet there’s not streams of people complaining about the delay.
It’s interesting because I’ve just read a statement (this morning) by someone at Kunos Studios who are making Assetto Corsa racing sim. They constantly update their fans/future customers with developments and new features, licences etc..and yet they get abused and told they’re just teasing all the time. It seems whichever way you go it’s deemed wrong by someone.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been looking forward to vorpX since day one, as each week goes by more official support is getting announced and with War Thunder already done, iRacing support next week, pCARS very soon (option is in this weeks build) I’ll only have to wait for rFactor2 and I wont need vorpX myself..
I just decided to go elsewhere and enjoy the many other demos and apps while waiting for full gaming in VR :)
I agree it’s does seem a strange decision. Today Kunos showed footage of official support for Assetto Corsa, WMD are working on pCARS and War Thunder has official rift support already. Just 2 more companies and I wont need VorpX ;)
AkParticipant
Definitely Battlefield 3.
Fallout 3 is a very good game, but it looks horribly outdated and will be bad with the rift I think.
Either you need a really good ‘photorealistic’ game like Battlefield 3, Crysis, Portal, Project cars, or a game with a particular style like Minecraft, Borderlands, dishonored.
Old games which tried to be ‘photorealistic’ looks very bad today. For exemple I can easily play at ratchet and clank because the cartoon style doesn’t look outdated, but games like the first tomb raiders, Vice city etc just look bad
