Good evening ,
i have a simple but important (fundamental) request.
Every characteristic of vorpx are very good , even gamepad emulator but
now i have the necessity to use sneek peek and the other things with the controller!
How can i do this?
Thanks :)
That is unfortunate. It works well in Vorpx and is much faster than Tridef in GTA IV for me. I think it could handle the framerate it and would look fabulous in the rift with ENB and Vorpx. ENB works with Tridef but with the slower performance and the added framerate hit with ENB, it is a no go with that configuration for me. Maybe Ralf of someone else will figure something out after awhile.
Can anyone give me some clues about how to configure some things in Vorpx? I need to move the vignette back so I cannot see it in the Rift but when I use the setting in the Vorpx control panel, it also looks like it zooms the whole view rather than just moving the vignette back. How can I accomplish this task without getting a zoomed view? (Maybe an FOV setting in GTA?)
Any help is appreciated.
@ Steve : That is already possible. Just checkout the controller mapping mapping page in the in-game menu, you can then map the middle-mouse button to any gamepad button, inkl SHIFT/ALT Modifiers (XBox 360 Pad needed). I usually use the Thumbstick buttons for EdgePeek/VR-Hotkeys . That might even be pre-configured.
Make sure that “Handle Gamepads internally” is ON for this to work
I’d like to be able to map edge peek to a controller button. My wireless KB doesn’t have a centre mouse button fr starters :D and as I’m only really into racing I have spare buttons on my wheel :)
Hi guys
couple of thoughts whilst I wait for my activation code. The impression I have got is that you like to tinkle and play with the tech. In case I have the same issues I put some thought to your issues.
1. You mention tridef does that infer that you have it installed? If so I would suggest removing it and reg cleaning.
2. If you tried Verio or the Perception drivers again, disable and then uninstall and reg clean – delete any of the bin dll files you may have moved into game directories…
3. CtR Alt Del and check to see if any of the Unity processes are running in the background as that ‘steals’ the sensor data..
4. Have you Splashtop or Kaney installed? Uninstall.
5. Have you any game controller software installed some of those drivers are quite flaky and could interfere with headtracking.
6. Have you used sweetfx or ENB? These intercept the dx dlls and I would imagine at these stage could cause conflicts.
Just a few random thoughts.
I hope these help.
Good luck
Unclebob
Ok thanks. Going to upgrade my windows in 5 minutes! If you see a support email that looks identical to this post you can just delete it.
No, thank you for making that show up. I will check whether I can safely replace that function call with something Vista compatible. But not in the next few days.
Your license might get invalid, but it will be reset, of course. In case you are required to reauthorize just send another request e-mail and state that you are the guy with Vista from a few days ago. That’ll be enough.
Ok thanks. Yeah guilty as charged, Vista 64 here! I figured that was the problem. Luckily, I was planning to upgrade in a couple days anyway so not a problem at all :-)
When I upgrade will that affect my product license or will I need to update that?
Thanks for the reply.
I’m not sure wehther this something you will like to hear: The fix is to install Windows7 (or higher). I guess you use Vista or even XP, right?
I successfully registered my vorpx but when it went to run I received this error.
vorpcontrol.exe – entry point not found
The procedure entry point SetDisplayConfig could not be located in the dynamic link library user32.dll.
Has anyone else had this issue did you find a fix for it?
I tried redownloading and reinstalling with no success.
Also I contacted support earlier today but they are probably very busy and have not got back to me yet.
Any help would be appreciated!
I finally started getting some results after messing with some of the menus.
I think one issue with vorpX is actually the lack of a manual. I’m still confused as to what the various headtracking options actually mean especially when it comes to the controller headtracking options :s
lol
Well, the main reason I asked was because I would love to play Train Simulator 2014 in the Rift. It already looks great in the Rift albeit in 2D. I also have a RailDriver desktop train controller so having a feature like that would make me a very very happy man. Looks like I will have to resort to another technique to look around the virtual cab with the Rift.
The head tracking didn’t work, but it’s possible that the Shift+O shortcut isn’t properly set to mouselook in your FSX. You can do this by going to your FSX control settings and setting this shortcut.
The only real problem I had was the Virtual cockpits which all display as 2d panels. Ralf is apparently looking into this issue
Don’t think so, tried cloning/extended/single display options in both nvidia & vorpx control panel.
Just tried Bioshock 1 now and it seems to be mostly fine. I say mostly because sometimes tilting my head backwards makes my character walk backwards, same with rolling head and strafing movements. Config screens in game and in vorpx suggest everything’s set up for that not to happen, so could there be an issue with the gamepad emulator that’s built into vorpx?
Thank you for your reply Ralf.
Yeah, I know this is on mycommerce and out of your control.
Their support mail is not working, as I have stated, but I used their contact form (http://www.mycommerce.com/shopper-contact , if someone else has this problem) a few hours ago. I’ll post here if I get a reply.
I’m from Germany myself, I will send you an email. But I’m sure some others have the same problem, so it may be worth to look for a more general solution in the long term.
